Wisdom oozing from this conversation. GSP is what got me into the UFC as a curious teen watching my first fight on TV - I distinctly remember staying up to watch it whilst on holiday in Delhi. A decade plus later I realize this guy is a gem, a calculated fighter, and is he the greatest of all time? Undisputedly.
Gsp is hands down the most intellectual MMA fighter there is.... Someone you can have a conversation with and expect to learn from way beyond his sport...

Captain Falange GSP is clean, and always has been. And for those that use the “cycle” argument don’t realise that the USADA testing is irregular and test those under high suspicion the most. Where it wouldn’t be possible for cycling.
Captain Falange I do and don’t think gsp was clean. It doesn’t make sense a natty could compete with all the roided up guys he was fighting plus there is the speculation about his bubble gut and there were spots on his stomach at some weigh ins. But at the same time he never pissed hot and he was being tested by vada to my knowledge for much of his career and vada tested better than normal ufc tests not to mention was a huge advocate for testing. If he was dirty, he wasn’t dirty his whole career. Something tells me he couldn’t have been dirty for Hendricks or Bisping but it’s more possible than people think that he was dirty
He was my favourite MMA fighter for that reason. He had character. He was like the protagonist of a movie - you want him to win not because of his circumstance but because of who he is.
The greatest of all time is still willing to learn and improve. I don't know if we will ever see another mixed martial artist like GSP. Absolutely amazing podcast.
I've taken more from this interview with GSP than any other interview I've listened to on this show. Georges has a very well developed way of looking at life in general, and is very unbiased in his analysis regardless of his ideas. This man has my utmost respect.
I thought the same thing. It took GSP a few minutes to warm up, but once he let his guard down, it was an amazing show. I think he was self-conscious about the whole "alien abduction/that's CTE" thing from last time. It was nice to see him be able to joke about it though.
I fell asleep and woke up to this video playing, but I didn't realize where I was at first..I thought maybe I had gone to Montreal. and was listening to people talking outside my hotel room. very intelligent and interesting interview guest.
Five years on and this podcast is still utterly captivating, I wish we had even more episodes from George. I saw him speak at UFC Paris Ceremonial Weight Ins and the adoration from the fans was something else.
I’m a 6 feet 250 lbs fat guy, I have never in my life done a push up exercise because I always thought I’m too heavy, after watching this, for 3 days, I did 3 sets of 10 push ups each day first thing in the morning, this is very inspiring

Why nobody don't recommend me this podcast 2 years ago. Now I'm just founded. JRE is gold.
Gsp is hands down the most intellectual MMA fighter there is.... Someone you can have a conversation with and expect to learn from way beyond his sport...
Ryan Hall
Lmao at Dominic , his movements/ footwork ? Yes , his all around Mixed martial arts pedigree ? That's a negative. Dont be a casual spitting off things you don't understand, you sound silly.
Gary goodridge
Josh Barnett is too
Alex Chambers or Rosi Sexton
Is GSP the most likeable fighter ever?
Shabanno i like dom just a little bit more but he's cool
Okay, but who would you rather have a beer with?
Shabanno him and dc
Yeah gsp is on a different level of humble no other fighter is even close
Yep!
Can't get Spotify to work..so here I am watching this again..three years later and still loving it
I´ve watches some parts and all ready there is so much to be taken from it its truly amazing, im gonna watch the whole thing over and over!! Fantastic
GSP is so cool. He’s such a down-to-earth individual. Very genuine and seems very approachable.
2:10:09 I kould be wrõng, I kould be right: /watch?v=jPj-8_wOZcA
He really is. Met him in a party and was interested about everyone's life and job . Real Nice guy
It is what it is
For English being his secondary language he has an amazing vocabulary .
I am a free man, i am my own BUS :D
Dalton Williams aye it's very impressive
Because he reads I assume.
Dalton Williams it is also because French and English have a lot of similarities when it comes to vocabulary. Grammar is very different. Vocabulary is rather similar.
less so good english moreso great franglais
Physical,Technical and Tactical- GSP..... He is a true Legend and so soft spoken with so much knowledge.
“You zigged when you shoulda zagged? So what”
-GSP
You think Micheal Chandler took that quote from him?
@@3973555 yeah but I think he was paying homage, not trynna steal it
“There’s a lot of things that turn me on in life. Women, dinosaurs, and people that say don’t do it” - GSP
This is one of Joe's best podcast. The first 1 hour is just lit.So damn motivational.GSP is a legend, period.
Just imagine if he stumbles across dinosaur hentai or some shit
@@ganjalfthegreen5312 LMFAOOOOOOO 💀💀💀
lmao
It sounded even more hilarious in his broken English.
Honestly George needs more credit, nicest guy in mma and the GOAT
James Jones i think dc is just as nice
What a great overall human George is... great conversation! Thanks Joe, you should have him back soon...
The first podcast I watched for more than 20 minutes I mean full 3 hours 😊 it was amazing feeling to hear gsp really educated smart and the combination with joe is just unmatchable
Georges energy is one of the best i have seen in JRE, Please get him back again
OH NOOOOOO!!! Most people agree that my vids are the worst on RUclips. I agree to disagree. Please agree to disagree with the haters, dear che
@@AxxLAfriku dear God, your everywhere...
Why would he come back? He has nothing to prove bro. The best Welterweight of all time. Arguably the best pound for pound fighter of all time.
@@ashharmafaz5418 I meant on JRE dude lol
@@checkyz1321 Oh sorry, misunderstood :D I'd like to see him come back on JRE for sure. So would all his fans. That would be dope!
drug testing started:
..some people left
...this man came back
@Captain Falange so GSP NEVER TOOK STEROIDS???
Captain Falange don’t forget that everyone he was fighting were on steroids as well so it’s not as big of a deal
Nolan S yeah but he wasn’t knocking people out like the meat heads were
WOW probably the best listing ever. These guys made me open up my thinking... Thanks GSP and Joe!!!
This guy leaves us with no questions as of why he is the greatest mixed martial artist to ever live
Agreed!.....Class...Integrity.....Work Ethic....The Best!!
GSP is a great athlete but an even better human
i heard he isn't human.. its a robot pretending to be human .. so he can kick ass and lead the way heh
He wouldn't appreciate this comment lol he'd say, "well I dont have a choice!"
He is a great human bean
400th like, and agreed
He was my favourite MMA fighter for that reason. He had character. He was like the protagonist of a movie - you want him to win not because of his circumstance but because of who he is.
The greatest of all time is still willing to learn and improve. I don't know if we will ever see another mixed martial artist like GSP. Absolutely amazing podcast.
well thats why he is who he is
kenisto i dont usually comment on youtube posts, but that was my thoughts exactly. Spot on.
kenisto I believe the opposite been will see an influx of guys like GSP because eh will inspire so many to be martial arts like him.
Fedor is a paper champ.....
I am loving this interview, 40 minutes in, I realize that it is from 2018. Still a great listening to the GSP
that bully story still gives me goosebumps
Best JRE MMA yet.
nutty
I've taken more from this interview with GSP than any other interview I've listened to on this show. Georges has a very well developed way of looking at life in general, and is very unbiased in his analysis regardless of his ideas. This man has my utmost respect.
George is like a real life Claude Van Damme movie character xD
😆
I come back to this time and time again. He's a brilliant mind
Props to joe rogan. Once GSP relaxed and started to speak freely/forgot he was being interviewed this podcast came alive. Much respect
jsnook101 you buggin. This was great from minute 0. Im just glad Rogan didnt fuck this one up.
I thought the same thing. It took GSP a few minutes to warm up, but once he let his guard down, it was an amazing show. I think he was self-conscious about the whole "alien abduction/that's CTE" thing from last time. It was nice to see him be able to joke about it though.
Jou zygged vvven jou šhould hav zagged ænd jou gεt glybbed∵ Sow vvvat??
jsnook101 s
They are actually friends and train together, Joe teaches him kicking techniques.
I'm not even a UFC fan, really, but I'm a fan of this guy. One of the better athletes in any sport.
I wasn't sure I would enjoy this but WOW - What an AWESOME interview! Georges and Joe are great, love this show!
I fell asleep and woke up to this video playing, but I didn't realize where I was at first..I thought maybe I had gone to Montreal. and was listening to people talking outside my hotel room. very intelligent and interesting interview guest.
georges' sound effects are on an other level
Jean Claudine almost...do i dare say..other worldy..
Hey, English isn’t his first language
Hahaha yes! I really enjoyed them
Georges seems really happy and relaxed. Great to see!
GSP is so engaging when he talks. Such an easy but informative listen.
Five years on and this podcast is still utterly captivating, I wish we had even more episodes from George. I saw him speak at UFC Paris Ceremonial Weight Ins and the adoration from the fans was something else.
Bros, Did we all just experience the best joe rogan podcast of all time right now? Im levitating
100% we did. Unreal.
It was fecking epic lads. I'm gonna have to listen to it again. What an absolute Legend.
Best MMA show so far yes but there are a few normal podcasts that a better than this one. That's my opinion though GSP is a legend man 🤙🏽
I just started it you guys got me excited now!
Easily, I could listen to these two talk all day
Georges is legitimately a gem of a human being. Amazing representative of MMA and person generally.
I love you george. As a human being and Canadian. You’re a good person and I will always cheer for you. All the best. 💯
I love Gsp! not just as a figther but as the person he presents in interviews, seems very genuine and cool person.
I’m a 6 feet 250 lbs fat guy, I have never in my life done a push up exercise because I always thought I’m too heavy, after watching this, for 3 days, I did 3 sets of 10 push ups each day first thing in the morning, this is very inspiring
That's awesome. The best of luck to you my friend.
keep going, dude
Keep going mate. If you happened to stop, get back on it. Small steps consistently make a long walk.
Fearless Q8 you quit didn’t you? hahahah. its okay get back on it. it’ll help out a lot with body toning.
@@uzi6497 you're an ass
Man I love listening to this guy he is just such a great athlete and a great man a great attitude what a credit to his sport and to his country really God bless that guy
George sir ur my hero since I was young. I read your autobiography twice :') love from India
The way he says “Physical, Technical, Tactical” is so satisfying
But he got them confused.
Plan is not technical. It’s mostly tactical.
@@bonvivant55 how can you implement a good tactic without good technique. That's like fighters who got great coaches but are shitty, it doesn't work.
You could be more wrong. But you're still pretty damn wrong, though.
diminishhh
bon vivant he’s still learning the language he speaks French.
It's magi-cal!
it's insane the amount of knowledge and wisdom this guy has and how he express it, it's so beautiful to listen to and watch, not a lot of great champions are like George, and English isn't even his first language and this how good he is, mentally, physically, tough not to say he's the greatest of all time.
Bloodsport, Not Dirty Sport
The last part is your opinion but many agree....Royce is the GOAT
3 hours solid of GSP rambling you love to see it
I like this George’s St-Pierre.
One of they most real and down to Earth guests on Joes podcasts.
Joe causally talking about his spinning back kick like its not a nuclear missile.
TJ West I want to see rogans back kick on Colby's chin if he tries to slap rogan
Lmaooo Deadass b
TJ West You never been kicked with it even an amateur and chest pad you're going down.
Neal DGT is just friends with joe to investigate how joes kick tears holes in spacetime
