How creative. I love your ideas. I had one of these. I was fascinated by it, but couldn't think of a way to use it other than a case. So, I gave it to my son and asked if he could make some, thinner and smaller for jewelry or doll dishes. He has a new 3d printer he is using the heck out of it. I think he did it. And since the pattern is digital, he can resize it up and down. I am driving 90 min to visit tomorrow and will see how it came out. He just had to re-engineer the backmso it was beveled and would open. Big smile here.
I have these boxes. They are display cases for delicate items. I use them for some of my delicate crystals and dead butterflies. You can find them online anywhere ❤
Love the photo idea! How cool to do graduation or birthday put a photo memory and then put money in it! excellent idea Wendy 💜! you are amazing! thank you! I really enjoyed this!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
You have an incredibly creative mind Wendy. These turned out so sweet. I love the concept & just so happen to have a couple of these boxes hanging around. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤
This is an amazing idea, and I always love a good upcycle. This idea could be used on all kinds of boxes and frames, not just these. Thank you also for reminding me on the abalone bits I have in my stash of things go play with. ❤
Your imagination is amazing!!! I also have these boxes, and just couldn’t throw them away, but had absolutely no idea what to do with them!! Brilliantl!!!
Excellent way to reuse and recycle, clever idea. Those tweezers look very sturdy. I recently went to Marshals and bought a pack of four tweezers for 7$. They are the kind meant for plucking eyebrows and such, but are nice and sturdy as well.
Very cute 🥰 the shells are lovely..I thought you were making mirror compacts for a moment..so many ideas LOVE What you do always.. And your hair.. beautiful 😊
This is BRILLIANT! I have several of these frames (bought for an idea that was not a good seller), so I have a new use for them! I have two poured with the first layer of silicone already. Such fun! I just love your videos, Wendy!
These are beautiful, Wendy! I love the abalone shells. I can also see a wealth of possibilities to try with them. Thank you for another inspiring video.
I am 90 pc sure - because I don't have one in front of me - that the thicker part of those windows are acetate but they have the cellophane over the acetate to protect it from scratches until you use them. When you want to use them you dismantle the frame and peel the cellophane off then reassemble. Now it's completely clear and ready for use but. It's the same principle as with thick acrylic sheets.
I just love this idea Wendy! I love your creativity. ❤ I'm gonna give a shot. I'm sure it won't turn as nice as yours 😢 Thank you for all your great ideas! Bertha
Hi Wendy :) The little plastic in the middle is heat sensitive. I keep some memmorative coins and heart shaped pebbles in them. When they stretch out, and get cloudy I take the heat gun, open up the frame and gently heat the plastic up one by one until it shrinks back and clears up. Unfortunately I managed to ruin one because I didn't open it and the plastic stuck together. You probably need to pot some vaseline or baby Lotion on the film before you put resin on it so it won't bond with the plastic. X
Thank you for this .. its very good info and explains why the 2 pieces stuck together using UV resin and it gets very hot. I really appreciate your comment 🥰
@Toonpish You're very welcome :) I'm happy I could help. The end results on this video were stunning, I loved it. I typed the comment while watching so I couldn't comment on the end result.
Hi Wendy , you are so ingenious what a great idea 💡 loved watched this video It’s Harvey here from Resin & Crafters. Thanks for sharing, this opens the box so to speak on more ideas you could do with these beautiful shells and other boxes 👌🏻❤️✨
Genius!! But I’m not sure what the proper of using the silicone mold was. Couldn’t you just place the shells in the resin? In think you did that. I guess I need to re-watch. Or is it just as a barrier ? I do have a question if I may: when you make a big silicone inlay, like for a tray, what’s the best way to store it? Thank you so much!💜💜
The silicone is to stop the resin from going any further and the give a nice shiny flat surface 😀😀 Keep silicone in plastic bags or zip bags away from dust and pet hair 😀😀💜👍
Hi Wendy when I see this little box you working with it make me think of your Halloween one you did with skeleton and lights that was a awesome one .. make a little one with face and lights in side I going to look for a box like that and try it love that one Ty’s for showing me how I do it told people about your site and you the one that I had to do it too Ty’s very much
OK Wendy you need to contact the manufacturer of those little boxes and work out a deal so we could all do that? You need to add it to the Wendy’s creative resin store!

🤣🤣🤣 that’s something I hadn’t thought of 😳🤣😀💜 thank you Diane 😀😀💜
Love love loooove it ❤ brilliant idea. Do they sell the boxes separately?
No I don’t sell them 😀😀 but I have linked them in Amazon below the video 😀💜👍
I wonder if when you used the lighter on it the first go, if that fused it together? But it could have also been the heat from the resin too?
Uv resin does get very hot indeed 🤣🤣 I would imagine it was the latter 😖 thanks so much for thinking about it 💜💜
Hi all!! I finally made a premier!!
That’s brilliant 😀😀💜
So funny, I bought 20 of them to keep my necklaces untangled. They came from Temu, 3 different sizes.
I’m sure you have a couple spare then 😀😀💜👍
This is legit!
😀😀💜👍 thank you 👍
Thanks Wendy! Do you recommend any air filters for working with resin?
I recommend a respirator for sure. I use mine all the time with a well ventilated room.
Hope that helps 👍💜
