I’m so glad you posted this vlog, cos the day I passed through Junee , the roundhouse was closed , very interesting historical information, cheers from Downunder 🦘🦘🦘❤️🇦🇺
Hello recently found your site. Fantastic have you done Jameson up in the hills further on from Mansfield. Grew up in Mansfield so this area is lovely. Living in nursing home so this is lovely to see
@@gidget9101 funny you say that ... I have some senior neighbours that give me hints on where to go, so they can reminisce - a few are from regional Victoria and farmers that have apartments in the city so their kids can take over the farm
I looked at the Junee Station and could see the trains on the mainline but the Museum was closed being a Tuesday. Thanks for this tour . I must get back there again soon. Thanks for the vog.
Live in Junee. Worked in the offices behind the Refreshment room back when the station was a 24 hour working concern. That was the District Superintendent's office, colloquially known as "The Pie Shop". The Locomotive branch had its offices at the round house.

I'm by no means a train enthusiast, but it was very impressive and well worth the visit

Sounds as if the railway stations were often the social hub of every town !
@@urbanaerialexplorer1885 Indeed. It was Junee's largest employer. If you didn't work on the railways, someone in your family did
Absolutely fantastic video mate really enjoyed your aerial shots to have a look at the old township and also the railway tour tho.
You could spend a long week-end in Junee .... The town has a lot more then just the railway infrastructure to offer - A lot of historic building !
I well keep that on my radar @urbanaerialexplorer1885
Junee is still a junction, the Griffith line branches off here.
Thanks for the update information
@@urbanaerialexplorer1885 noworries, much enjoyed your video!
Forgot to mention that you can see it veering left from the Ariel shots nearing the end of the vid. Looking north. Cheers.
Australia.
yep - New South Wales near Victoria border
