A little about Ed….
Ed is an elite cyclist, 2019 British Hill Climb Champion and former Under 23 British RR Champion. He has raced as a Continental level Professional Rider for one of the most successful British cycling teams in Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, Azerbaijan to name a few. He is also a public speaker, coach, and founded the on/offline cycling community, Backpedal. At the start of 2021, the Discord community began, and plonked many of Ed's viewers in to a 550+ strong group of people that had many things in common. Not least wanting to explore the world and pedal their bikes faster!

Saw my first ever snowbanks on the Gotthard 2 weeks ago. It's a sight to behold. I've been in the alps probably 40+ times, but almost always in peak summer. Few times in late spring and the fall, but never saw the snowbanks until 2 weeks ago. The locals in Switzerland also told me they hadn't seen so much snow that late for many years.
Pronouncing 'Wout' as 'Woet' made my day.

Great footage - I'll be there Tuesday, but going to ride both sides if I can. The coffee at the top of the pass is 2nd to none.

I use a 9 for most things but I own a 10 too. The 10 is pretty good to be fair but not the most recent.

Get an easy gear and just go slower. No pressure to lose weight as it won't make it easier you can just go faster. Stuff like st.bernard and iseran are surprisingly accessible as the grades are never crazy, just long
