Ascendancy is by far their best album, the best songs off Shogun is Down From the Sky and this one, those songs suck compared to Like Light to Flies or Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr, that album had feeling this album lacked
^^100% agree, not down talking any of their other albums, even though i don't care for their new Metallica sound they have developed, but i grew up on their album Ascendancy, and many of those songs had so much more meaning and spirit

If you like metal then there's something to appreciate in this song. Even if it is just a common riff - solo - riff song or however you want to classify it, there's still something unique about every piece of music and hence something to be found enjoyable. I personally find the build up and general flow of the song exciting and well paced. I love when it slows down, depicting the scene after the storm has caused the ship to crash.

I like Silence In The Snow because I'm not too fond of the screams and stuff in songs like this, but I try to listen because I absolutely adore the instrumentals.
I'm glad their last three albums are more in this style... Still this is their best work.

After listening to alot of songs and this being the first song that struck me hard when I was first discovering trivium, thus is by far my favorite song and it possibly has my favorite sounding riff ever. The one that reaches 5 frets, 1st fret on the low b and up to the 5th of the d and its crazy hard for me but I'm determined to get it.

As an 8 year old, these soundtracks made me into the metal head I am today at 23. Soundtracks in video games now are so lazy and shitty in my opinion. I miss when this type of music was at its peak in early 2000s as opposed to country and mumble rap smh.
