I’ve gotta go to bed …thank you for all your amazing knowledge and taking us along with you. It’s been so much fun…again, fabulous with your camera ..letting us get up close in person like you do. Can’t wait to pick up on all the lingo and new vocabulary that has to do with rock hunting. The more I watch the more I will learn.
**UPDATE** One of the big pieces in this video turned out to have a secret inside, but I didn’t notice it until a day later! Stay tuned for that video surprise!!** Be sure to watch till the end to see everything all cleaned up! I lost some footage along the way but still managed to get the video up! Thanks for tuning in!
Fantastic capture!! that's very appreciate watching this channel. The agates is really beautiful nature texture. Thank for sharing video Its really nice feeling to see these wonderful in the nature wild
I so much enjoy your enthusiasm!! I get excited when I find a good one too but I've never found anything like you find. Congratulations of finding that pair 👏
Thanks! You never know, your next trip could be the best one ever! In all honesty, I didn’t have the highest hopes for this trip, but I really wanted to make a Teepee Canyon agate video. Sure glad I did! You just never know where they will be hiding! Good luck out there and thanks for tuning in!
Your camera action is the best I’ve ever seen.. you really get down there close.. I feel like I’m walking with you! I’ve never been to South Dakota. I think I drove through one time on my way to Montana. I live in Florida and I used to take road trips with my best friend and my dog, but we just went to visit our good friend out in whitefish Montana. But we haven’t gone since before Covid and I miss our trips, especially since there’s so many beautiful rocks in these states. I collect sharks teeth and fossils from the rivers here in Florida, but nothing is beautiful as these gorgeous agates.
@@scottwatrous-b9q that was a fun one to find! I gotta get back there to that spot someday and dig around. Thanks for tuning in and I’m glad you enjoyed!
I don't know if you would see this because this is 10 months ago. But I wanted you to know I really enjoy your videos . I miss being able to go rock hunting. I am 72 this month and can't get out much any more but I sure would love to take one more fun filled Day hunting some of the beautiful rocks . But I can still enjoy seeing you find them.
No way... that's like finding a set of deer antlers, how rare that fits together just like that, crazy! Oh yes, so glad I saw this video! can't wait to visit this area for the first time next weekend. great information on the geological formations and tips on search patterns. So Pumped for you on the find and pumped to get the chance to see that area!
Heck yeah! It’s my pleasure! I’m currently looking at a new iPhone so I can try and make the videos just that much better. Also because my poor little iPhone 6 just about crashes when I make too big of a video. 😂 Thanks for tuning in! 💪
Teepee Canyon is one of my fav agates. Its just so hard to get a decent cab without the fracturing. I love the orange color and distinct fort patterns. That one piece is gorgeous you lucky bastard!
I have watched this 3 or 4 times times. I get so excited each time Aaron. Congratulations and thanks for taking us along! I will be there on the 14th, can’t wait!
Nice! Been to Teepee once but didn't do well that day. Will head out there again soon for a couple days to search on some hillsides, I focused on the rocky cliff areas where most folks go...
Thanks for tuning in and I’m glad you enjoyed! I will most likely leave them as they are. It’s kinda fun to click em together and to let other folks play around.
Wow, glad you found the other half to that! Patience pays and you are always a testament to that. Are there teepee canyon agates in the Spearfish area or do you need to be southern hills near Custer toward the grasslands?
So glad I found the other chunk! That’s always an extra fun moment! I live when I get to dig em out like that too! As for the agates in Spearfish, I haven’t personally heard of them being up there, but I have heard of a few being found in the minnelusa formation near Piedmont, so it could happen. I do know there are geodes and such in the limestone from Deadwood to Spearfish. The location I was hunting is the Teepee Canyon area about 16 miles west of Custer and just west of Jewel Cave. Thanks for tuning in!
Who could possibly get sick of playing with cherty balls?! It looks like it's on fire! Cherty balls of fire. Someday, I'll get out there to find a pair of cherty balls for myself. Incredible 😲 Yes, I could've phrased that differently, but I didn't want to.
The “hills” stuff is always a pleasure to find and can have some reaaally nice color. The two piece one in this video is still one of the best hills agates I’ve found, yet. Thanks again for tuning in!
I can’t stand carrying a spray bottle. Extra junk to carry, they run outa water fast or clog up, and often times just end up on the land by people. Kind of a pet piece of mine due to how many junk spray bottles I’ve found out in the land. I usually just donate some drinking water if needed. 🙃
I'm a little salty on this main reason why is cuz I go to teepee canyon and I literally dig you never found anything that nice and you're literally on the surface
Oh no! Sorry! I’m more of a surface collector so that alone is where my odds come from. For me, it’s time vs area looked at. I’ve walked them hills and surrounding area out there for miles and miles. Some days I find stuff, some days I don’t so it’s really the same as digging for em. The only way to find these spots where they are just layin there, is to go find em. I never cared much for the hard rock mining side of them. For the same time put in, and way less effort, I’ve personally had better luck just wandering around and looking closely at what Mother Nature is constantly working out. That doesn’t mean I won’t do some digging and smashing on a good area. This spot, I’ve been to many, many times. It doesn’t always give anything up and it’s just a rather small area most wouldn’t even notice. Lots of tucked in spots out there and even some nice areas out in the wide open. Anywho, best luck out there and thanks for tuning in! 💪 🕵🏻♂️
