Now coming 7 months after with this phone, one major issue I've faced was the lens fogging. And it was really an issue when i was on vacation to some cold places. Now after trying some tips on reddit the issue seems solved or maybe I've not been into such cold moist places again, it's not showing any fogging.
I purchased my Xiaomi three weeks ago, attracted by its features and reasonable price. However, I’m returning it due to the number of Chinese apps that cannot be removed and pop-ups, which significantly detract from the user experience. Additionally, the phone isn’t fully compatible with all features offered by the T-Mobile network. Is there an English-only version available?

I currently have the vanilla 13T. Do you think it's now worth updating to the Xiaomi 14 or get the 14T instead? What matters are slightly better everything from general photos, videos (HDR, accuracy, low light, stabilisation, etc ) and battery life.
Rear lens fogging issues politely omitted by the most reviewers stops me from buying this device. All Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are affected. Moisture inside smartphone isn't good.

And needs some patch and additional features like option to change screen from FHD to WQHD. It would be also amazing to add 120hz refresh rate on RUclips when you are using adaptive refresh rate.
Sorry but Hyper OS cannot compare to Origin OS or Funtouch OS in terms of stability and smoothness. Also the portrait mode in the camera is not consistent and natural as Vivo camera. I highly recommend IQOO 12 or Vivo X100 insteads of Xiaomi 14.
I have two issues using this phone. 1. The links in apps are not loading. Not clickable. I had to manually copy and paste in browser to open it. 2. There is no shortcut or real quick way to switch between keyboards. Always needs to visit settings to select the keyboard. For me, it important as I have two different keyboards for two languages. You should've went for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Phones in general have gotten pricier. The Ultra model should be on the same tier as the P30 Pro. The regular Xiaomi 14 is competing with the iPhone 15 and Galaxy S23.
Never had it with 3 weeks so far and under cold climate with 0 celsius degrees minimums. It's still the biggest complaint I read in most videos about it.
Very good review! Can you confirm if the phone you tested has the Indian variant of the Global ROM? If so can you confirm if it has the Xiaomi dialer available along with the google dialer (as was the case with MIUI), or does it have the google dialer only?
When you scroll down it shows only symbols and not what those symbols do. I find that hard to remember which one is for which. Is there a way we can change settings where it shows symbol and the name of it. Hope you understand my question and sorry English is not my first language And you have not told how many years Android update
You can activate the extra dim feature through the activity launcher! Didn't know why they hide it that way! It's already built-in but for no reason, we nned to do an extra step just to turn that feature on! 😍

How's the overheating issue? Im considering getting 14 soon, but early reviewers experienced some super heating to maintain the high performance score. (Btw, i use a lot of filming features and my Mix 4 is very buggy for that T.T)

The screen looks amazing and I haven't had any of the fogging problems I've read about around (mind I have only used the phone for 2 weeks, but in very cold climates with 0 celsius degrees minimums) and I've had no problems so far. Besides I bought the 1TB version, so top storage with a top (or at least competent) camera for a very nice price when compared to other brands available at my country (Samsung and Apple) The only problem I could note is that the WiFi connectivity is inferior to other phones, so if you are in a very big house, with only one modem/router, you might have trouble connecting to the internet when you are far from the WiFi source.
If your router is dual band 2.4+5GHs make sure they are separate because your phone will try to stay connected to the 5GHs band even if it's a weak signal if it's separate you can manually change between the two
@@hoyoungwon Almost all videos will have people mentioning that. In my case I bought a cover instead of using the one that comes in the box, maybe it's that?
@@nkubkbkuj Yeah, they are separated, I'll try making the phone forget the 5Ghz and see if something changes. It's the only phone where I've had this problem, all the others go straight for the 2.4, even when they know they can try the 5.8 one.
I have Xiaomi Redmi 10 and I would like to upgrade to this phone. Is there a way to upload all my data from my old phone into the new one? Like apps, photos, contacts, games, wallpapers and phone settings?

The Telephoto lens is 2.6x not 3.2x as advertised by Xiaomi. Please slowly zoom in to something and see when the camera switch Lens from Main to Telephoto. It should switch from Main to Telephoto when you go past 3.1x. But, it switch lens when you go past 2.5x.
About the camera, a lot of people have uploaded videos, posted on the E-commerce site's review section that "this phone's camera is fogging up after some time of usage". I'm planning on buying it, please let me know if it's true or anyone else who have faced this issue.
U should pick a global rom version.
Xiaomi 14 is awesome just I would love the Quad Curve Display & Variable aperture. Hopefully they include it from Xiaomi 14 Pro to Xiaomi 15 just like Xiaomi 13 Pro to Xiaomi 14 😅😅 InshaAllah Will updating from Honor 8!
5:36 With how fast the 14T Pro is, I think the 15 can do the same when it's out.
Hello ho young won, I wanna ask between Huawei pura70 and Xiaomi 14 which is better for camera battery gaming and long last
Main camera Fog issue?
Not for me and I live in a temperate climate and the weather has been fluctuating a lot lately. I hate that it has a hard time focusing as the reviewer also said
It's so good i tried using it underwater and no lens fogging so far
I currently have the vanilla 13T. Do you think it's now worth updating to the Xiaomi 14 or get the 14T instead? What matters are slightly better everything from general photos, videos (HDR, accuracy, low light, stabilisation, etc ) and battery life.
do you have the master cinema mode in video , I don't have it my Xiaomi 14 global but 14 civi and 14 ultra have these.
Rear lens fogging issues politely omitted by the most reviewers stops me from buying this device. All Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are affected. Moisture inside smartphone isn't good.
And it's definitely a deal breaker !!!
It's depends on location which ur living, cold climate locations may have fogg issues..
Well, it happened to me 2times and no more fogging after that
I have the same question and was hoping @HoYoungWon would mention it in his video update. I emailed Xiaomi UK and they said --- "Pertaining to the inquiry, the following statement below is the official statement:
Lens fogging is a natural phenomenon that causes the camera lens fogging due to the temperature difference between the lens and the surrounding air in some specific use environments. This model supports IP68 waterproof, and the device is highly sealed. In special environments, fogging may occur due to changes in temperature between the inside and outside of the phone. But please rest assured that this is fogging, not water. After the phenomenon disappears, it will not have any impact on the camera function and will not affect the IP68 waterproof performance of the phone."
I was just hoping to see what an actual customer using the phone said on the issue as I am still not convinced.
@@_Y_O_K_I_ The problem is that this is Real issue, basically a manufacturer's and design fault. I can't remember any other single phone that had or have it.

Not this model that's only for ultra
Was there any lens fogging issue ?
After watching your Xiaomi 14 first review, I bought it without hesitation 😅
using this phone for a week now. The camera and photos are amazing. The display and speaker are top notch.
There are some cons with the phone. 1. HyperOS is still kinda feels slow compared to OneUI. And needs some patch and additional features like option to change screen from FHD to WQHD. It would be also amazing to add 120hz refresh rate on RUclips when you are using adaptive refresh rate.
Do u also face heating issues?
@@wouter.d.h. not experienced heating issue and fogging lens. BTW i'm from UAE extreme place but so far no issue occurred.
Well,IQOO 12 has green line issues when heavy gaming... So its a good phone I admit that but it's not good for heavy gamers
Vivo has 3 years major update system only...n then its time to drop perfmnce
Xiaomi 14, 14 pro or 14 ultra the main camera isn't the main character. The main character is 3.2x floating telephoto camera 🔥🔥.. supppp-erbb
Any suggestion?

Any condensation on the lens?
I am disapointed,
I switched from p30 pro and it wasnt the upgrade I ecpected.

You should've went for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Phones in general have gotten pricier. The Ultra model should be on the same tier as the P30 Pro.
The regular Xiaomi 14 is competing with the iPhone 15 and Galaxy S23.

Hello everyone!
I would like to ask if the " camera fogging" problem is still present with this phone.
Are they going to fix it? or is there any solution like a case or lens protector for this problem?
I would like to get a phone like this because I really like it, but I am worried that this problem will occur. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks in advance.

@@BenjyBoo everything is there in that statement, fogging is harmless and just an inconvenience when you want to use the camera
Is there any solution for the foggy issue?? Main camera lens fog up after 1 min. Its annoying.
Put the phone in a closed box with a lot of silica and remove the sim tray off. Leave there for 24 hours, put the sim tray again and test.
I bought the phone and it's great. but Their no protection for the ear speaker or the speaker on the top of front camera. is it just like that or my model is missing it?
How's the overheating issue? Im considering getting 14 soon, but early reviewers experienced some super heating to maintain the high performance score. (Btw, i use a lot of filming features and my Mix 4 is very buggy for that T.T)
the snapdragon 8 gen 3 (on like all phones with it) has some heat issues, its still smooth though on daily use and wont overheat in normal use either, all phones with it overheated in stress test benchmarks though
I like your reviews!
Do you use a Chinese version of Xiaomi 14 with Chinese ROM?
Do you have any issues using it in Korea?
I also live in Korea and thinking of buying this little camera monster.

Hello everyone, I'm really confused between these 2 phones: Xiaomi 14 or Pixel 8. My main priority is the camera and secondary is battery backup. Any suggestions please!
Go away of the pixel 8 just Google pixel 8 Green screen, sadly that's why I'm looking for a new phone
What about ads? Lag? Am considering getting one but reports are not so great. Can someone advise?
No lag and no ads
The screen looks amazing and I haven't had any of the fogging problems I've read about around (mind I have only used the phone for 2 weeks, but in very cold climates with 0 celsius degrees minimums) and I've had no problems so far. Besides I bought the 1TB version, so top storage with a top (or at least competent) camera for a very nice price when compared to other brands available at my country (Samsung and Apple)
The only problem I could note is that the WiFi connectivity is inferior to other phones, so if you are in a very big house, with only one modem/router, you might have trouble connecting to the internet when you are far from the WiFi source.
If your router is dual band 2.4+5GHs make sure they are separate because your phone will try to stay connected to the 5GHs band even if it's a weak signal if it's separate you can manually change between the two
2.4GHz is slower but it's range is better while 5GHz is faster but it's range is worse
Strange, I also never had the fogging issue that's been talked about so much.
