  • Welcome back to another episode of RAC's Corner! In today's episode, Coach RAC discusses What MLB Players are Doing On Deck.
You may have seen Luis Arraez or Aaron Judge doing some WEIRD movements on deck. What are they doing?
It's actually something every high level baseball player does, here is how you can do it too.
Everyone has their own negative swing tendencies. For example, I personally have the tendency to drift on to my front side and in turn, I have a very downwards bat path.
Since this is my natural tendency as a hitter, I want to counteract this tendency with "feel" reps when I am ON DECK.
This is what you see Aaron Judge and Luis Arraez doing on deck! They are taking these weird swings to counteract their natural negative swing tendencies. By making these exaggerated feel corrections on deck, they can take their normal swing when they step into the box and they will fall into their bad swing habits way less often. Use your swings on deck to counteract your negative swing habits. Feel free to exaggerate these movements! Exaggerated swing movements on deck result in minor swing changes in the game, which is all you need!
    As always, Let's Grow!
