@@raymercado3650 normally the C- is your negative lead of your charging wire, my bms only utilizes negative connections so the positive wire for the load and for charging come off of the main positive of the battery. Hope that helps some.

Yes usually this problem arise only if you using non branded cells...trusted cells are sanyo/lgmj1/Panasonic/Samsung ...only these 4 is trusted Trusted as in with good feedbacks..other brands are questionable...
I have a 16s 8p pack .. which is a 60v 20ah system, the problem is, 5 of the groups of 8 cells only charge up to 3.5v and the other 11 groups charge to 4v ...is this a battery problem or a faulty BMS ?
An entire group of cells can only be charged as far as the weakest battery in this group. This culprit battery would then have to get hot when charging, so you can use a thermal imaging camera to see whether and which individual cells are broken. if none gets hot then maybe some fets in the bms have burned out. you may be able to find the hot cells by touching them, but that's harder than it sounds.
How many amps do you plan on pulling? You have one strip of nickel on the main positive.....so its gonna heat like a mofo past 15A...and those cells are going to take a beating if you run them at 15A
I made a 48v battery with top of the line 3100 mah cells. It was 6p 13s and I used a 40 amp bms. The wire I used was 10 gage on . Well when I put this battery in my Ebike and hit the throttle it discharges really fast up and down . When I take it out and check the voltage it’s is still around 53v . What the hell did I do wrong? If anyone knows please help

@@Knebebelmeyer to avoid confusion i think it's best to use the nominal voltage in computations regardless of the actual voltage when fully charged. you are correct, the 3.7V in 13s will yield around that much voltage fully charged. i think the confusing part is whether to use 3p or 4p; 4p will add up the Ah, not the voltages, i.e. 2500mAh+2500mAh+2500mAh+2500mAh=10000mAh. 3p will only get 7500mAh. :)

Es una de dos cosas, el cargador de las baterias esta descompuesto o las baterias estan fuera de carga eso quiero decir que las baterias tienen menos de 2.8v-3.0v casa una o la mayoria, si eso es el caso el bms no va a detectar la batteria. Tendrias que desarmar la batteria y rearmala cuando todas la baterias tengan la carga maxima de 4.2v
A battery maker told me to only use max 3.2a best is 2A charger for 10.5ah....because it's only 10.5ah...if for 21ah...can go higher ah but not 5ah...unless it's the first 30-50%...battery is complicated...lol...they sell those automatic charger from 5A to 2 to 1A charging from 30%-100%

One of the cells or series connections have failed, as your max voltage is out by exactly one series connection (3.6v/3.7v)

13x 3.7V batteries in series will add up to 48.1V; then multiply the capacities with how many are in parallel, that's 4p, 2500(4) = 10000. :)
