you have a great attitude and it shows in your people they seem enthusiastic and that never hurts. good luck my man I would love to help you But I am far away in British Columbia Canada.

My name is Peter, I have traveled many times to Caribbean and Florida Keys. This is by far the best organization doing this because you recycle and separate what you collect. Too often I don’t see this happen. Are you concerned with possible dust and shavings from cutting the nets though? Just might be a microplastic source. Maybe cutting the branches could work. I know it’s a crazy tangle. I have seen many caught nets during shoreline snorkels like this. Also how can I join? I am not local to any of the projects but have been following and love the work. I have so many questions to ask too. Do you have conversations with fishermen about using different kinds of rope such as what was used in the past? Natural fiber based?
@4ocean I'm curious as to how long it would take that area to regain the same amount of ghostnet garbage? What is the return interval that you think that you would need to do to keep it relatively clean?
It's unbelievable there is so much waste just tangled in the mangroves down there. How can that much plastic rope be just abandoned in the sea? Is it from storms?
Question answered in the video. They talk about how maybe the ocean cleanup crews will be able to eliminate the plastic islands in the oceans, but it will never end. Every hurricane basically washes all the plastic and other toxic stuff out of huge areas of human civilization and dumps it into the oceans. You all are amazing! Thank you for doing this.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! Our cleanup crews are working hard to address these issues and we appreciate your support and recognition of our efforts! Together, we're changing the game. 🌊💙
Have you thought about introducing a bill to your legislation a bill to have boaters pay a fee to use nets in the ocean. The fees can pay to help clean up the ocean. You'll be able to expand your non-profit. Every coastal states and foreign countries should have a system like yours.

SCHULTZ!!
We need to get a Collab with Mr beast
I think Mark Rober is a safer bet on this front for the time being.
Mr Beast is the problem not the solution..
