It seems like the creators first language isn't English. They followed up that description by saying, "but this is a very friendly dog." The creators use of the word "horrific" seems to imply "scary, terrifying, intimidating."
All the dogs are good, but they all are developed to perform some specific tasks. Eg: If someone is looking for a guard dog then an excellent lap dog will not the right choice. By comparing the two breeds, you can understand which of these two breeds will be best for you.
