Am I the only one thinking Djoser's legend sounds tantalizingly similar to Joseph and the 7 year of famine he faced...and the fact that Djoser and Joseph sound quite similar?
the bible pulls tons and tons of ancient pseudo-histories that had, until compiled together, mostly been oral histories. the story of moses and the flood, similarly, comes from an old sumerian myth/pseudo-history, too. theres evidence that there WAS a massive, devastating flood in the area historically, but the biblical level of detail is probbbbably mostly the work of embellishment via oral history. im guessing the djoser/joseph famine story is similar, especially with the whole power-tripping, insecure god coming down to throw a tantrum about his temple not being shiny enough aspect.
Why does Djoser story kinda sounds like the the Story of Joseph in the bible??! Ringing any bells!. I'm super excited about this biopic, loved it like I really enjoy the rest.
The 7 years of famine in Djoser's reign sounds like the Biblical story of Joseph where there were initially 7 years of prosperity followed by 7 years of famine & want. This famine was throughout the Middle/Near East... In this Bible passage, God spoke to Pharaoh in 2 dreams via the dreams of the fat 🐄 s & emaciated 🐄 s & the healthy grain & withered grain... Some say that Joseph lived at a later time, but this is not quite certain...
