    I had my heart set on the new bear resurgence. Went to bass pro yesterday and walked out with the legit instead. Got it home and started shooting and I was blown away at the performance. It’s lightweight. Extremely compact. 20 yard groups of 5 and a fletch from each arrow was touching another. My fletchings are 3/8” low profile. I built the arrows to fit me and my elite hunter bow. Bear shoots them even better and faster than my damn elite!

      Has anyone seen how BEAR bows are made? Extremely well made. No need for a 500+ bow unless you really wanna spend unneeded cash. BEAR for life.

    A lot of respect for doing a legit comparison video for higher end bows vs budget friendly or middle of the road bows. The bear looks clean...I was going to get a bear bow as my first bow. I ended up getting a Hoyt Torrex (cannot recommend enough). I feel Bear gets dismissed very easily in the bow hunting community. Probably because of brand loyalty and popularity in that location. Great video!!

    A good honest review which shows money isn’t always needed. Like you said the Bear hasn’t been 100% set up for you. If it were the group at 30 would have been smaller. No, it’s not a tournament bow per se’, but it “ IS” a really good hunting bow. I’ve been using a first year Ritual 33 I got used very little and this short ATA and not so fast with heavier hunting arrows works superbly GREAT. SO will that Bear Legit.

    The spongy back wall could be a slight timing adjustment. This is another reason why I think single cams are going to make a comeback, like with the Bear Adapt.
    I think there is a growing realization that the budget-friendly bows are as equally capable as the high-end bows. Maybe there is a benefit to Biden’s economy …. The realIzation that bargain bows are still great bows! Oh, and let’s not forget about our closed border. 😂

    I just picked up a Bear Legit for my teenage son. He out grew his first bow and this was the best option for the price. We were looking at a Mathews but after sights, the rest, and stabilizer it was going to be 50% more expensive.
    He shot it yesterday and was so excited about how much better the Legit shoots. I'm thinking of buying my wife one since the draw weight is so adjustable.

    I harvested 3 elk with a bear legit in idaho. for the price that package is absolutely solid. that being said check the module set screws before you shoot it. the bow vibrates enough to rock em loose over time. i ended up having to tighten them bi weekly after a few days at the range. for 480 bucks or so though you absolutely get a great ready to hunt package. I finally spent 2300 on a mathews phase 4 package and its a vastly superior bow. I cant speak highly enough of what you get in a bear legit package though.

      I'm older and have finally came to the conclusion that flagship bows are not worth the money if you aren't a pro shooter. I'm more interested in the budget bows and what they can do. I may get another flagship but the stuff bear puts out now makes me wanna save my money for other things.

  • @michaelpoplawski3246
    @michaelpoplawski3246 Год назад +1

    Glad that you showed the groups of each bow side by side. The only clarification I would like to offer is that the grouping usually has more to do with the bow being tuned to the arrows rather than whether the bow is sighted in. If the bow is tuned well, the arrows will still group tight regardless of where they hit on the target.
    Folks should not have "bow shame" if they don't want to spend a crap-ton of money to get into archery. The Legit is aptly named.

    I bought a Bear Threat at a pawn shop 4 months ago for 100 bucks. It's my first bow and first time shooting a bow. Grabbed mossy oak arrows at Walmart on clearance for $2.50 a piece. I have practiced every single day since I bought it, a minimum of 10 arrows a day. I routinely out shoot my federal game warden neighbor who has 20yrs bow hunting experience and shoots a $1200 Obsession bow with Black Eagle deep impact arrows. We back yard shoot for fun and he always has excuses on why my groups are tighter. We shoot the best of three on the small circle of 3D deer. He has not beat me once yet. Usually after two rounds he stops playing. It's the man that makes the machine, not the other way around.

    It's not always just the bow that will help you to shoot better cause my bow Tech is rigged out from the top to the bottom bow Tech reckoning 38 it's gotta excel XP target sight excel av 41 scope z bris sight light hamskea rest It is all loaded out big Boy stabilizers the workshop it's probably 34 $3600 altogether it's top to bottom And it pounds let me tell you I'm really really powerful but at the same time I feel like you can do that with any bow if you work on yourself It's I've been fiddling and fighting with the PSEVL34 wish it is an amazing boat and absolutely pounds but I keep having this not right there I'm like what the h*** I switched my grip position in my hand and bullet hole bullet hole bullet hole so it it's always on the shooter I mean obviously if you're both way out of tune and you know your rest is broke or you've got all kinds of crazy going on your bow is not gonna shoot

    I'm sorry but this made me laugh. I have a legit. Once you've shot it enough to bed the strings in, it will never remain in time ever again. It got to the point where after setting the cams in perfect timing they would be out again after no more than 20-30 shots. Top cam would be off, square them up, then bottom cam would be off, try to pre-empt which way it would go, nup went the other way. It'll shoot fine immediately after its set up. The grip is very forgiving. But you'll constantly be chasing cam timing issues and its almost impossible to jag that and not effect the cam lean at the same time. I parked that bow after a couple of months. I recently shot it again after it being squared up. got it bulllet holing after only a couple of changes and then sure enough only 20-30 shots in I could see the tears wandering again. went to the mirror and yep, cams off again. Do not get this bow unless you are really into bow presses and twisting cables, yokes constantly. for masochists only.

      I think maybe you might have got a bad bow. I’ve had mine for a year, and shot about 750-800 shots, roughly. Not one single timing issue. Some minor tweaks after the string stretch, and it’s been rock solid since. The only minor issue I had was the screws in the cams coming loose after about 20 shots, but a little dab of loctite fixed that.
