Great film, beginning to end! Your composition is so rich, I especially loved the shots around the six minute mark, the light and composition was sublime. Bravo
I'm mostly a Fuji ACROS shooter but I will give it a try. I shoot a little bit of everything and collect old film cameras that I try to shoot with at least once each. My digital work is mostly wildlife and portraiture. You can see some of my work on my site at www.gquirogaphoto.com and there are links there to my social media sites. For my artsy black and white work I have a page at facebook.com/gqlux
love the picture inside the container of the Sun and portrait. I like how you worked the scene of the doorway with the light on the wall. This film looks great. Well done.
That was actually a bit of a mistake shot, I was composing and checking the metering when I accidentally pushed the shutter at one stop underexposed but I ended up leaving it, not taking a second shot with the same composition or the right exposure and the results came out pretty good
loved the video, I know very little about the art of photography and it's not a huge interest of mine (i love looking at beautiful photos but not taking them) but the video was very entertaining and moved at a great pace. you're really good on camera, passionate, confident and provide great information. thoroughly enjoyed it
Hi Jessica, Thank you for the great video / photo walk to Cockatoo Island. I'm happy that you like the latitude/versatility of the P3200 film. Awesome video ( Thanks Martin). Our best to you, Tim and Pat, Kodak Alaris.
thank you so much Tim! I can repeat it enough but thank you for the opportunity! I had a blast shooting this film and I’ll definitely will be stocking it at my store!
Enjoyed the video Jess. Nice photos and videography too. P3200 Looks to be a nice film to use in lower light conditions for sure. I finally shot a roll and need to develop it, so it's nice to see some great results you had with it. Peace!
RollsOfPhotoFilm thanks 🙏🏽 I definitely feel very lucky to have gotten a roll, now I can’t wait to buy some and shoot more! ... Ai Wei Wei’s work is incredible, just grand!
Thanks Pedro! You are so very kind! And it’s been a struggle to find the time to do this videos but I’m definitely keep on making them. Hugs right back to you from Down Under!
P3200 is not a 3200 film, but 800 that can be pushed to 3200 and beyond. I say this because I think I saw you set your camera to 3200. Nice video, beautifully composed photos, kudos.
I'm aware that the optimum film speed for this film is between 800-1600 but for the review I wanted to shoot it at box speed, thanks so much for the comment, I should have probably mention that on the video, and thanks for the support!
beau pfeiffer recordings I have tried it, back in my photography school days we used a ton of hp5 and pushed it too! but I haven’t used any in a long time, maybe I should shoot some and make a vid ;)
So, a lot to unpack here... seen just about every film photographer on RUclips and to be honest, most of them take pretty dubious images. You however, are a very talented photographer ❤️👌
p3200 has become my fav and go to bw film. Trix400 is too contrasty for my taste, ilford hp5 lacks the contrast comlpetely, P3200 is right in the middle. I rate mines at 1600, develop it at home with ilfotec dd-x and oh boy, i barely have to do any post prod on my shots. By the way, just discovered your channel and subscribed. Good work!
@@VivaLaFilm Hi, I have shot the original Kodak 3200 B&W film before and I won a national photographic film competition with it. I used it with a Nikon Fm, 50mm f1.4 lens a MD11 motor drive, this was about 25 years ago and I still have this outfit today. I do not have the new emulsion but I have read that it is actually an 800 asa film pushed to 3200 asa. I do have some of the Ilford 3200 and I hope to shoot that at 800 with a yellow or possibly orange filter very soon.
Fabulous ❤ great shots Jess
Thanks 🙏🏾
Good one Jess! Fun to watch this, I liked the shots with doorway of light hitting the wall especially
Pushing Film thanks Hashem! those were also my favorites too, but just a case of right place at the right time
Great film, beginning to end! Your composition is so rich, I especially loved the shots around the six minute mark, the light and composition was sublime. Bravo

Jackson Sommerich thank you 🙏🏽 😊 I give it my all!

qnetx thank you so much 😊... I can not recommend this film enough! I just live the grain structure... what do you shoot on the daily?

Really fun video, great photos, especially the portraits using the archways! It really does have a "beautiful grain" look. F/1.4 and be there!
Dave thank you 🙏🏽 we were so lucky to have found that place at the right time, some of my favorite photos too!
Awesome images. What a great place to take Mono film images.
Thanks

Zion Wong thank you so much for coming along, I can’t wait to see the images you took on the day!

Trevor Sowers thanks, I didn’t use any filters I kinda wish I had a yellow one ;)
Hey Jess, the film are okay, but you shoots are top of the line. Is good to see a new video from you. Big hug from the other side of the world.

u should have a try of some Ilford HP5 if u like grit & grain I would not recommend pushing it any more than 1600 tho

sounds like a plan
My favorite b&w film of all time.
Love your font on the thumbnails, how is it called?

David Lewis thank you 😊 so much! I’m just having fun and trying to capture some light

Loads of grain . I felt the grain of p3200 is like a green grass of an early autumn day. Nice one
Try shooting it at 800 asa .
mamiyapress I’ll give it a go! What results do you get at 800?
