Not because some 12 year old didn’t take off socks for a dance class or 2 women start throwing drinks and slaps downtown. No one was ever injured (at least nothing more than a bruise). They all are guilty of trying to annoy each other, so while a slap certainly isn’t a good thing to do, it’s not worthy of calling police. If anything Christy and Tammy should have called the police. Tammy had her shirt ripped and her neck all scratched up. Christy had a big bruise on her head.

People are so stupid and easily influenced by tv. A tv show can portray you as the bad person and influence how (dumb) people feel about you when you’re not like that at all. I’m a huge fan of Christi but it’s hard to take her side in her fight against Leslie. For the sake of vacation, she started the physical altercation. I do think Leslie went too far with the death threat but it’s easy to see why she was upset. If someone did the same to Christi Christi would’ve thrown some low blows too.

No I don’t think the police needed to be called for most of these issues. I am honestly surprised that nobody got fined for misusing 911 because they have true emergencies to tend to. On the other hand, there have been some incidents where the cops should’ve gotten involved but did not (like the Christy vs. Tammy fight and the Yolanda vs. Stacey fight)

After hearing most of the evidence it’s kind of safe to say that there are time for the police should’ve been more involved and then there was times where the police should’ve never been called Between the Leslie and Christi story I don’t really know who to believe as both were in the wrong. Christi has a admitted a meet and greet that she was at fault but I do not say that Leslie is innocent. If true that she made that comment about killing her then Christi should’ve filed a restraining order against. Also I’m very confused about Cathy and Christi since they seem really good friends despite the fact that Christi nearly pushed her into a tree. I don’t know if that’s completely true but it’s kind of alarming that your first instinct would to push somebody. I understand stress and alcohol were involved but these characters actions to be physical is never OK and it does make me kind of respect them a little less because of the actions they took. Ask for Abby why she’s so happy to sue anyone that does anything she doesn’t like. I don’t know a lot of this is just very messy and it kind of irrational and dangerous behavior that I did not expect to come from people than I thought we’re actually very level headed for the most part. First of all your series is as addictive as dance moms so thank you for existing! Could you explain why the former dance moms stars don't refer to Abby by her name nowadays? I keep hearing them say "my dance teacher" or hints that are obviously referring to her but never explicitly.. is it legal? Is it out of disrespect?
The only time the cops should have been called was for physical altercations during the show. Which was Christie and Leslie's fight, Christy and Tami's fight, Kelly and Abby's fight, and Yolanda and Stacey's fight. It's crazy how Abby had no problem emotionally abusing kids for years but if someone lightly taps her she runs to the police and claims that she was "assaulted". I remember one episode from season 8, the dance teacher from Studio 19 ( Abby's rival Studio) calledd Abby out on her hypocritical behavior because Abby was on her phone while 1 of Studio 19 dancers were on stage performing. She said that Abby preaches theater etiquette to her kids and told her to put her phone away which has led to Abby filing a police report. I also remember a time that Abby was at a competition and while one dancer was performing on stage Abby was talking. Cathy lightly tapped and shushed her and Abby was acting as if she got robbed and made a whole big deal out of nothing.
The police shoudlnt have been called in any of those cases, thats the point... Community Accountability can resolve thr vast majority of cases, but people prefer not to think critically

Im currently binging ur series and really appreciate that u highlight these sensless police calls. Police are not the catch all supportive group in the eyes of everyone and certainly shouldn't be the knee jerk call with the potentially critical dangers of their interactions. Abby contributed to this problematic behavior of police calls in response to simple inconviences...we've seen how far many will go, police were even called on my family at our outdoor wedding ceremony by a women upset over not being able to find parking to walk her dog. Now if thats not unessessary...

Wow the editors of the show really do an amazing job, I was lead to believe that Dawn was a total psycho and really overreacting. But this shows she had the right to be mad. No I don’t think the police needed to be called for most of these issues. I am honestly surprised that nobody got fined for misusing 911 because they have true emergencies to tend to. On the other hand, there have been some incidents where the cops should’ve gotten involved but did not (like the Christy vs. Tammy fight and the Yolanda vs. Stacey fight)

After hearing most of the evidence it’s kind of safe to say that there are time for the police should’ve been more involved and then there was times where the police should’ve never been called
Between the Leslie and Christi story I don’t really know who to believe as both were in the wrong. Christi has a admitted a meet and greet that she was at fault but I do not say that Leslie is innocent. If true that she made that comment about killing her then Christi should’ve filed a restraining order against. Also I’m very confused about Cathy and Christi since they seem really good friends despite the fact that Christi nearly pushed her into a tree. I don’t know if that’s completely true but it’s kind of alarming that your first instinct would to push somebody. I understand stress and alcohol were involved but these characters actions to be physical is never OK and it does make me kind of respect them a little less because of the actions they took.
Ask for Abby why she’s so happy to sue anyone that does anything she doesn’t like. I don’t know a lot of this is just very messy and it kind of irrational and dangerous behavior that I did not expect to come from people than I thought we’re actually very level headed for the most part.
I will still say that the Kelly and Abby fight was by far the worst thing that has ever happened on the show
Its sad how many of us just don't even get angry seeing Abby torture these kids anymore.. It used to make us all want to yell and jump through screens and now these clips break my heart. Those girls all deserved so so so much fucking better.

The only time the cops should have been called was for physical altercations during the show. Which was Christie and Leslie's fight, Christy and Tami's fight, Kelly and Abby's fight, and Yolanda and Stacey's fight. It's crazy how Abby had no problem emotionally abusing kids for years but if someone lightly taps her she runs to the police and claims that she was "assaulted". I remember one episode from season 8, the dance teacher from Studio 19 ( Abby's rival Studio) calledd Abby out on her hypocritical behavior because Abby was on her phone while 1 of Studio 19 dancers were on stage performing. She said that Abby preaches theater etiquette to her kids and told her to put her phone away which has led to Abby filing a police report. I also remember a time that Abby was at a competition and while one dancer was performing on stage Abby was talking. Cathy lightly tapped and shushed her and Abby was acting as if she got robbed and made a whole big deal out of nothing.
The police shoudlnt have been called in any of those cases, thats the point...
Community Accountability can resolve thr vast majority of cases, but people prefer not to think critically

Im currently binging ur series and really appreciate that u highlight these sensless police calls. Police are not the catch all supportive group in the eyes of everyone and certainly shouldn't be the knee jerk call with the potentially critical dangers of their interactions.
Abby contributed to this problematic behavior of police calls in response to simple inconviences...we've seen how far many will go, police were even called on my family at our outdoor wedding ceremony by a women upset over not being able to find parking to walk her dog. Now if thats not unessessary...

What Abby did to Kelly was a threat, harm, and possibly an assault (getting into her personal space in a threatening manner and forcing her back) or maybe even an act of terrorism (there are varying definitions of acts of terror). I feel like Kelly was defending herself. Can you imagine that huge woman, who probably eats everything in sight, coming at your finger like it’s a snack?! Gah! Kelly shoulda clocked her good and knocked her to the ground.

Wow the editors of the show really do an amazing job, I was lead to believe that Dawn was a total psycho and really overreacting. But this shows she had the right to be mad.
I honestly don’t know why so many people desired to be taught by Abby her and her rules are awful like Kelly once said “I’m paying YOU for a service” And it’s true if you were 10 minutes late, you’re the one paying for it anyway.

I give everyone a lot of grace in this show because between the producers and Abby I can't imagine how anyone ever knew what was real or not or kept a level head- I would have exploded and had mental breakdowns several times myself.
But something about Peyton and Leslie... no. I don't even like them outside of the show. They seem really pretentious and stuck up, and it's gross.
I agree. I find it hard to feel sympathy for them. Originally, I felt bad for them because they were getting death threats online and Payton did get a bad edit, but then Payton compared COVID to the Holocaust. Yeah...disgusting. And "bad edit" or not, I never liked Leslie.
