Hi great videos, I have a retail version at the cheaper price the Pro one and it doesn't show on my Microsoft account when logged in, it also won’t let me add the office key as it doesn't recognise it.. How do I deactivate it on my old computer in the cmd before I change to the new one please as I have tried to download on my new computer but does not fully function etc? Many thanks Charlie...

IT, Microsoft, all of them are con merchants.
Gone are the days where you could buy a good package on your computer, so the basics with Word, Excel, etc, etc. Now you buy a computer and they want to try and force these add ons which are expensive, are never compatible with previous versions, hence leading to incompatibility for word, etc, etc.
They are happy to force you to pay £65 odd a year to run word, excel on your computer. That is £65 a year, so it is now an annual cost to run what was part of computer package in the past, is now being charged annually or you cannot use the likes of word, excel, etc.
To me that is a con, it is greed, pure greed and windows 10, pile of crap, Onedrive (whoever developed Onedrive needs his head removed from his shoulders for producing such a poorly executed product, utter rubbish) just to name a few terrible strategies that Microsoft have employed over the more recent years to drain more money out of you, for services that use to be included, basic services, I mean WORD and EXCEL are basic services, normally on every new computer, of say 5 years plus ago.
All extras software they charge a subscription. Think about that for one second. A subscribed service to use Word, Excel, other stuff, that you never had before. That is around £65 per annum indefinitely, yeah, whether you have the computer for 1 year or 10 years, you will still have to pay subscription to access Word, Excel, etc.
Is that not like, taking the michael?. I despise Microsoft because of it. You would think there would be new software competitors to Microsoft that provide a proper IT solution, so where are the competitors?. I would drop Microsoft in a heartbeat if there was a software that offered what Microsoft use too several years back, but better execution and higher quality experience, which you do not get with Microsoft. What you get with Microsoft is stress and expense for things that were included in packages years ago. YOU ARE THIEVES MICROSOFT.
I hate that they have no live humans answering phones anymore for support. I JUST WANT TO TALK TO A GOD DAMN HUMAN ONCE IN A WHILE so I can get my questions about their f***ing product answered! Is that too much to ask of these lousy corporations nowadays? I'd drop Microsoft in a heartbeat if there was a competitor, and not Apple, because they are just as bad!

in your Microsoft account, I can see office2019 installed there but it didn't show deactivate install button.... it just have "install" only... how can transfer it without deactivate install??????

I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of your transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is.
For example 2:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 1:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation tho

What if a one time transferable version was already transferred one time? Can I see that before removing that version from my old computer? Or will it tell me during the removal process already that can no be transferred anymore, so I can leave it on my old computer? I would hate it if I discovered after removal that it is not transferrable and not desirable on my old computer.

I know it is late for this response, but wanna say that if you found out you cannot transfer it to a new pc, you could just log back in to Microsoft account from pc where office used to be installed in and reinstall it back on.😎

First "cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 16" (For this you need to find your Office Path.)
Then "cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus"

When unlinking the device, do you disable the serials installed on it? Can you do this with Windows 10 serial too? My motherboard broke I can't disable it directly on it.
The script you ran indicated that it was Office 19 Retail Edition does that mean Office 2019 rather than the Office 2016 that is also in your MS account?
The script I run was on my pc with office 2019 I forgot to run it on office 2016 and added it in after, still the same process.
I have Office Pro 2019, but it is shown in the Office 2016 directory as well.
Did you do an upgrade or fresh install of office 2019?

I need to uninstall MS Office 2010 to free up the license. Will the uninstall remove my Word, Excel, PP documents? I don't want to lose my documents created in Office.
No the files will still be there but you can't open until you reinstall office.

@@erickz583 I was not. We just had to repurchase the license again for one computer. It was $99 on Amazon versus $125 at Microsoft store at least.

Microsoft won't allow that legally, the one time license is stated for one device at a time only.

I couldn't find microsoft under the services and subscriptions. I had to do a restore point to get it back on my computer. Did you get yours fixed?

Would this work with Office 2003 version?
Would that be the great Office on a Windows XP, the best edition that never had to purchase a yearly update? I loved that myself but as XP is no longer supported my Microsoft, I highly doubt you could export that to a new Window's 11 PC. If so, you would be one lucky person. But I am not an office geek professional. Just my opinion.
@emilypoole5686 Thankyou for that. Sadly I believe you are right about not being able to transfer it from an old computer to a new one. I bought my "Mirosoft Office suite 2003 version" and it served me fanastically well from XP right through a computer change up to the Windows 10 update.
I still have all the installation disks, but my new Windows 11 computer won't accept it. I hate it when you've paid good money for a product it becomes obsolete for no good reason. Rant over, sorry.
I have got pre installed ma office in my laptop which I linked to microsoft account and I forget my ms office account password and I. This wasn't helpful at all. You need to slow it down for those of us who aren't so savvy. Plus use your words for what files/folders you're clicking because they're really hard to see. I had to pause and zoom in on the video just to see what you're doing. Then, my screen and folders looked diffrent then yours. It would have been helpful if you used your words to tell us what were looking for. I only got about a 5th of the way through this video. I'm gonna find someone else. Thank you.

Never mind. I was typing it wrong 🤣.
cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus worked for me. You have to check if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit. I am on a 64 bit windows running 64 bit Office. I had saved my product key number but wanted to check. It showed the last 5 numbers so I know thats right.
