- The Metropolitan Police “didn’t get everything right” and could have made arrests sooner when policing recent large-sale protests, the force’s assistant commissioner has said.
Matt Twist, who is responsible for protest and public order policing across London, also said the force used an “infinite number of tiers of policing” in response to criticisms of the Met adopting a ‘two-tier’ stance.
It comes as a new major report revealed the scale of the impact caused by “a new era of increasingly disruptive protests” on public service finances and public tourism and retail.
Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan blasts the “two-tier policing” in the UK, and claims the police are “more careful” with ethnic communities than the white working class.

starmer would prefer to put the person who leaked the video in prison, rather, than the perpetrators shown on the video, you watch, if starmer finds out who leaked the video, that person will probably be in prison within 24 hrs, where as the perpetrators on the video still are not in prison weeks later. TOTALLY ABHORRENT
Given the way the video was released in two parts , the first showing the police being brutal , then we have a mob at the police station where the "victims" are being held in which lead to their release, and then finally days later after seeing them talk of how oppressed they had been, we see them in part 2 beating up the law , can you conceive of any narrative which ticks all these boxes. I'd ask why it was released in this manner and was someone orchestrating it, where was it circulated first, and who might have a motive to do that. If my suspicion were the case, you'll never see who released it.

Makes you think that the video that was leaked showing the incident in full. Has frustrated the police and would we have seen this video if it wasn’t leaked? The footage was shown at first making the police look bad, but why did police not show the full footage in the beginning?

That it is apparent that the palestine? action marches were intimidatory, organisers blatantly telling protestors to mask up, that one of the chants heard was "you won't shop while bombs drop" and it also became apparent that some of the Arabic and Punjabi /Kashmiri chants that were again being blatantly taught to the protestors were specifically anti-Semitic and were effectively death threats against the substantial Leeds Jewish community. It would seem this only became apparent to police after complaints of violence, and that various members of the public got fluent Arabic and Punjabi /Urdu speakers to confirm what was being said.
