Beating Fedor and Filler yesterday is a heck of an accomplishment. Great play on the final day too. Congrats Robbie!!
Yeah talk about earning it!
Congrats champ well deserved victory, greetings from the Philippines. 👍
So much poise! This is a different type of Filipino player, the poise and technique of a Fedor, with the guts of a Johan, with the killer instinct of an Efren Reyes. Outstanding, championship mettle. To take down Fedor and Filler on the same day is special!
well said, man
he deserves it...
I like the top4 different players this time, not the usual you expect. Congrats! Robbie
So pleased for Robbie, edge of the seat stuff, lovely family and support ❤
From Hong Kong but 100% Filipino. Congratulations on your 1st Major title.
His a Hong Kong pride..
He is Hong Kong proud. Not fillipino. Stop.
@@toziassmitt he's full blooded filipino. He practices a lot in the Philippines. He represents HK. Both can be true.
@@t_t8661 you are incorrect. You are wrong. He is Hong Kong proud
@@toziassmitt speak proper english first then we talk.
Congratulations to Robbie, commiseration to Fortunski. It was an intense final. Robbie is one to watch for the future.
Congratulations 👏👏👏. Pinoy Blood🏆🏆🏆🏆
Hong Kong blood 🩸
You’re right Karl- running five racks from behind is almost impossible in a Matchroom final the way their tournaments are fashioned
Wdym? They aren’t alt break so how are you complaining? It’s just the game is so hard now for even the best which is how it should be.
Particularly with breaks every 3 racks that cut your rythm to 0
@@9BallBory I don't agree. The tightness has changed the percentages: players avoiding the long shots, power strokes and spin shots that make the game attractive and choosing more safety instead, slower racks, skillful players made to look average and clearly getting stressed by it. It's intense but kind of miserable and this has been the least entertaining wnt major so far. So many empty seats in the final too. We don't want buckets but they're getting it wrong and pros starting to call them out on it now.
@@JC-md7lg They're still experimenting what pocket size is best for the tournaments. Yes, we all know 4" pockets has worked well for the last 2 years but some 'fans' complained that the diamond table pockets are 'way bigger' than rasson table's. Therefore matchroom are trying out the 3.8" pockets but I doubt they'll use these 3.8" pockets any longer and will return to 4" pockets.
Also, don't ask me why some people say the pockets on the diamond table are bigger. Idk why too and I strongly disagree. I think the pockets on rasson table play bigger and they're the ones that should try out the 3.8" pockets.
@anferneeleung694 Yes I think some fan boys think that constantly demanding tighter and tighter pockets makes then some kind of expert but it actually shows they don't understand the game.
In 9 ball, unlike 8 ball, there's no jeopardy in choosing safety, you can do it anytime and will if the percentages for an attacking game have been made too poor. So you just end up with a really boring game: snooker without the depth of break building.
Also, having players able to run a few racks in a row adds to the excitement. You can be on the hill, a few games ahead and still in danger if the opponent has the break. There's a great accustats match where Ko runs the last 5 against SVB to do this, full of great shots of course. Not gonna happen on these 3.8 nightmares
Robbie deserve it. So calm & focus on every shot, quick enough regrouping himself, well done Robbie, well done
Let's Go Robbie!!!
For yall that don't know Robbie, he is a super humble and genuinely great guy.
Mabuhay Philippines 🇸🇽 congratulations to you🎇💯🎉🎁💐
The guy is humble well deserved
CONGRATULATIONS & WELL DONE! Robbie! Keep it up!
again Asian pool players dominated pool major tournament..
well done for Asian players..
Good job for a new player first time i see him well you deserve it mate!!
congrats, awesome job!
Great video and congratulations Robbie!
Finally Robbie won something big in his Career. Congrats
Filipino blood runs to his veins ❤ Both parents are Filipino natives! Proud to be Filipino🔥 Greatest cue artists in the World with Efren 🎉
Pocket size made the tournament so much more interesting. Great stuff from both players.
Chúc mừng Capito . Bạn đã vượt qua được cả Filler, Gorst và cả áp lực của một trận chung kết. Bạn xứng đáng vô địch 👍🏻
I went from not knowing who this guy was to him being in my top 5 favorites. An undefeated championship run is NO easy feat. What a beast! 🎱🔥🍻
This guy will have a brilliant career, he is amazing
Well deserved 👏🏼 💯🔥🔥👍🏼
Well deserved win Robbie. Congrats!
Good job dude
The level is crazy high. You can't miss or you are screwed already.
Keep grinding 💪
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations to RC & HongKong
Many Happy Returns
The Samurai Warrior has arrived once you get the first one the rest will follow he took down some heavy weights great job Champ
Congratulations 🎉👏!!!
I’ve seen the angle of those rails near the pockets before- pyramid table- give me a break- beyond ridiculous
CONGRATULATION !!!!恭喜~~
Very happy for Robbie, hard work has finally paid off. MF is also such a great player.
Congrats Robbie! Pinoy power!...again and again. 😂
Congratz to the gentlemen from hongkong. China now has a very good pool player
Congratulations sir
Congrats 👏 👏
Wow never cross in my mind he would win this tournament amazing congrats R.Capito
Robbie's final rival has ran out of fortunski, but nevertheless fought real hard. Congratulations to both.
Congradulations 🎉
Sooooo happy for Capito!
Robbie Capito is the first person from Hong Kong to win a Matchroom Sport event since Marco Fu won the Premier League Snooker.
Watching this event from Quarter Final, I see some 2nd tier players have significantly developed their safety defence skills, one of the reasons why many disparaging or impatient or reckless top tier players stumbled or fail to reach SF. We will see how they develop in next events
yg di pake robi capito stick apa ya
Rack 22, the foul for not calling push. Don't think I've ever seen that
Give me the song name pls?
Why there's no confetti fall😁 🎉🎉🎉Congrats rob Carlo biado and other pinoy player must be proud of you 👏 👏 👏 uwi uli sa pinas magpraktis😅😅😅

Congrats Noypi
expected fortunski to be taller!
Congrats Capito!!!
Hey Matchroom- you can actually see the rails on the INSIDE of the pockets - tooooo muuuuuch
Lol had to check again frame 22 he called the extension and forgot to call the push out.
BRAVO ZULU!
Congratulations capito
that jumpshot should be removed because you won't be able to see who is really good in defense and offense.
Robbie made it to the final before i think 3 months ago in Indonesia but lost to jefrey Ignacio
Is it just me or does the table look a few inches lower than a standard pool table?
True and the pockets are little smaller.
Congrats Robbie, well deserved. Loved this tight pocket format anyone can make mistakes any moment.
Hongkong by his Citizenship, but full blooded Filipino.
والله ريال ❣️
Matchroom blows
Did matchroom tighten the pockets jus for this tournamnet
yes they are 3.9 inches now.
Sekilas kayak rafeal struick
34:00😶
Is that a foul on that last shot? He puts down the cue stick while the ball is still moving
You should join the Styers team, Jeez!
@@txtmodcarlo im genuinely asking questions unless youre guilty that it was a foul
@@mchammer8806 I asked you a genuinely question too. Did the ref called it a foul???
@@txtmodcarlo where did you asked that you asked that just now delusional kid 😂 Im sure the ball is still moving and the ref got carried away like you are now
It’s only a foul if you let go of your cue whilst measuring a shot.
You can put whatever you like on the table as long as it doesn’t hit anything in live play.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
15 likes? C'mon guys!
What's to like? Matchroom is poorly managed.
Pinoy can't win with grace and dignity like EFREN. You win and accept your award. Not like this disgraceful unsportsmanlike conduct jumping on top of a pool table then walking up and down the table shouting. That's so low rent and unprofessional.
Bilog tlaga Ang bola" akalain mong tinalo nya c gorst at filler" deserved tlaga nya Ang championship" hongkong based pro Pinoy Ang parents"
I made it to 33:42- the players are so frazzled from missing so much they can’t make simple balls and l simply can’t watch - just like last final with Fedor & Filler - pure garbage
30,000 ? Huh
Compare to Reyes..
They still have to eat a lot of beef...
Beef pares
Wow! Congratulations Robbie! Imagine the current top two players - Fedor Gorst & Joshua Filler - were in your way and you methodically disposed of them, en route to winning the title! What a great achievement!
Fred Gork is not the number one or number two player.
@@PostUp_Timethat may be true. But the last major tournament it was Fedor and Filler at the Finals. So maybe that's why he thought of that
@@PostUp_Time Yes they are not coz those top two ranking players loss their respective matches. And Fedor and Filler are the ones left in the tourney and favored to win it even on betting sites and people who follow Pool and have half a brain would put Filler and Fedor to win it.
I stand corrected: What I really meant is that as of May 12, 2024, Fedor Gorst and Joshua Filler are the top two in the Money Leaderboard rankings, with recorded earnings of: (1) Fedor Gorst $126,513; (2) Joshua Filler $119,463; (3) Carlo Biado $105,550; (4) Van Boening $93,388; (5) Sanchez-Ruiz $55,377; (6) Corteza; (7) Oi; (8) Shaw; (9) Ouschan; (10) Capito....Capito is a full blooded Filipino born in Hongkong, and so he learned billiards and excelled there because he has practically lived his entire life in Hongkong, so he earned the right to represent Hongkong, not the Philippines.

Blunder co gk call push out😢
wala man lng pinoy
I really like this very tight pocket now. Big names having unfortunate mistakes. This pros can run a rack clean if you have wider pockets. The skills they possess have been polished and ball placements are insane. Tight pocket regulate those overly confident top players. Have to be pin point at their shots now.
Why so little audience for a final . Pathetic
Both of these guys are good but they've both choked on shots they should have made that I think players like Filler, SVB, Gorst, Shaw and Ouchan wouldn't miss if they were playing in the finals. Dealing with pressure is what makes elite players elite.
Well all those players you named got beat by these two finalists lmao
@@drewmartin6240This the results of an asshat not actually watching or following the tournament....lol
@@drewmartin6240lol yeah so true. OP doesn’t know what he’s talking about
@@shortydancerhis statement has merit. The finals have tons of added pressure that these guys aren’t used to. I’d put money on SVB or Filler in the finals against either of these guys, even on these overly small pockets.
Well that's true but the less pressure made Filler very complacent. Watched this tournament whole, he was overly confident and taking risks on his shots rather than his standard safety style of play.
I couldn't finish watching this. What a lack lustre final. Poor shot selection followed by consistent misses by both all over the map.
A usual see saw Matchroom final. How unexciting. How predictable. Watching so many missed shots l actually lost count. Hilarious.
Low quality pool in the final
Fortunski was THE luckiest player I've ever seen in any pool tournament in my life.
He was given, AT LEAST, 3 matches during his run to the Final.
Capito was NOT the most dominant player all of the time, himself, but managed to hold off all of his opponents with consistently good play when it was needed.
Congratulations to Robbie Capito, 2024 UK Open 9-ball Champion!!!😎👍
Pretty sure Fortunski means lucky or similar in Polish
Wow- actually no difference in expertise watching snooker or pool- both miss like crazy- pool is literally a crappy sport now- how fucking awful for a game like love- that game doesn’t exist anymore- how stupid
Worst editing I've ever seen 🙃
Jumping on the table is so gay
Nah. The Pearl started the trend. And i’m all for it to stay.
@SaltyDingleberry3000 ‘Saltydingleberry3000’
it's a tradition
But when white people do it, it’s ok right?
I saw SVB jumping on the table too...
Probably the lowest quality final I've ever seen.
Or the most narrow pockets;-) Haven't you noticed that?
@@mazz1288 No dude. Sit down.
Such a sad final...they playin like 🐄 💩 🤦♂️
I’m sure you could play better on those size pockets
Capito look so handsome 😂
G boy.. 😂
It was meant for robbie to win.. never seen these guys play this bad
Man this is boring.
why? because neither your favorite players are in the final?
@@FreakinJoe no. 9 Ball is just so boring. Jump cues, so not interesting safety battles, sterile players, always easy break and run. There is just nothing to watch.
@@joneslaakso simple answer, don't watch 🤣🤣🤣🤣
