It would be nice to see this kind of comparison for cheaper straighteners AND mid-priced ones as well. I feel like these kind of price break downs are always focusing on the really low and really high price points but not the middle range. When it comes to a straightening iron some of us can’t afford the luxury but can splurge more than $50 to get something of better quality. And then maybe compare your top pick of all three price ranges. How much more do you get for spending $150 instead of $50? And how much better is a $200+ straightener compared to the midrange? My hair is fine, curly and dry I guess cause likes some heavy moisturizing curl creams (light weight conditioner that is meant to not weigh hair down just equals a big fizzy mess for me), but it takes direction well whether straightening or curling it. Being able to fully control the temperature and know what the temperature is, is an absolute MUST for me. My step-mom got a luxury end T3 flat iron and when I tried it I was really annoyed at not knowing what temperature it was set at AND needing to read the manual to decipher how to change it. It wasn’t the model in this video though, narrower and not that grippy.
I finally caved and got the bio ionic from Ulta because they had it on sale online on Saturday and it is amazing! I've been watching you rave about it forever and knew I needed it.
Kristina Davies she did a video comparing the Kristen Ess flatiron to highend, and it did really well. I bought it based on her recommendation, and I love it!
I just bought the Bio Ionic and it does really glide so smoothly. So smooth that I had a hard time curling my hair. LOL. I guess my old iron definitely had more drag to it. I just need more practice.
I own, the 1" T3 don't use it, like you said it catches my hair in the plates. I have really thick hair, I have the BioIonic I haven't really done much with it. I love watching your videos and I've learned so much from you.
I love my Bio Ionic! Especially that I got it for sale last week I had to drive 45min! They hold it for me even though they are not supposed to, they were so nice lol
Could you please do a do's and don'ts for straightening and curling your hair breaking down to the type of hair products to be used as well ? Love your videos a lot... xoxo
I'm a hairdresser in the UK and literally just ordered the GHD platinum plus in preparation for getting back to work on the 12th April. I've used the GHD gold straightener before as a client had some and let me try them and they are super smooth on the hair with zero drag so I felt comfortable in getting the platinum plus's. Great video thanks 😊
I love all your videos, I always find them useful! I bought the T3 Single Pass Luxe on my birthday and what a disappointment! It is an expensive iron and it looks very luxurious but in reality it seems to me to be a very fragile iron (I'm afraid to put it in my suitcase when I travel), and also very difficult to maneuver especially when I want to curl my hair because the points of the iron gets too hot and you can not touch them and your hair gets very stuck. I wish I had seen this video before, and I hope I can buy the bio ionic soon.
I love you so much Milabu. You should do hairstyles for very short hair. I learned so many hairstyles for your videos but now they are old because I use them almost everyday. Please help me... And also I am the biggest fan of your ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. Love from India♥️♥️.
Holy perfect video! I was in desperate need of a new flat iron-i was freaked out on what to purchase & after reviewing & shopping around I chose the bio ionic! My 2nd choice was the GHD. Ordered it Saturday June 1st. I never considered the T3 though, I've heard & read reviews about their irons & blow dryers dying after less than a year or snagging hair! Thx for the video sweetie....
Alexa Style Book if you using 420-450f in daily I stay away from it is dangerous zone! I usually set 280-320f on daily! Special moment I go higher 320-380f! You can trying lower temperature to see it works for you!
I just got a remington pearl shine straightener it's amazing for my hair it's so sleek smooth & makes my hair so shiny it's perfect for me I can't believe the other straighteners I was using they where so bad 😳
I was spending so much time researching these straighteners, and was torn between the Bio Ionic and the GHD Platinum Plus. Per your review and recommendation, I’m going with the Bio Ionic! Thank you!!!
I bought the bio ionic after watching this and could not have been more happy about my purchase. I also have really curly hair so this video was super helpful
@@ema1ame I really liked it. It gets your hair pretty straight, but I felt like I had to put it on a high setting (380) to get it bone straight, which I don’t like. I like to stay at 365 degrees. Also it does tug at your ends so be very careful. I now use a straightening comb like the one from Tymo. That works pretty amazingly and doesn’t snag my ends, and I get my perfect desired look with it.
From the beginning I knew you were going to ❤ the Bio Ionic 10X flat iron. You have not hid your ❤ for this flat iron. However, I was happy to hear you give the pros of the other flat irons. Thank you for your informative video~ 😊
I bought the Bio ionic straightener as soon as I heard you rave about it! I have to say I’ve been loving it! I have very similar hair to yours, just more frizz and with this straightener I’ve been able to use a way lower heat setting than my old straightener. I’ve been learning how to curl with it too, sometimes it’s perfect - sometimes not lol I struggle with curling the back of my head.. practice makes perfect though!!
I had a GHD and while I liked it... I liked my somewhat cheaper blue Babyliss pro nano titanium flat iron that i got in my cosmetology school kit (they range from $100-$200) it gets my hair really straight, really fast and my first one lasted me like 7 years. none of my other flat irons have lasted that long so when that one went out on me i replaced it with the same one. so I do feel that certain tools are worth the money cause before this i never would have considered paying that much for a styling tool.
I’ve been wanting to get the bio ionic iron since you like it so much, and this past weekend Ulta had a 50% discount on it, so guess who just got one!!??? YAY!
Totally agree with you on the temperature control. Hair has many different textures and to assume one heat strength is for all is archaic. By the way, Milana, I like your hair straight as much as when you curl/wave it. 😀
You said it’s the bio ionic that doesn’t list what the metal is made from, but everywhere I look it says the Bio is made from ceramic plates? My question is just that I’d love to get one, thanks to all your glowing reviews of it! But I’d like to make sure I’m getting the right one, would you please tell where you got yours? 😊
Thank you for this review! I been debating on all three of these for a month. Finally gave in last week and bought the T3...a very disappointing experience. It did nothing to my hair. I do have ticker, coarse hair but I was hoping the wider plates would help. I was wrong, I will definitely try the Bio Ionix next.
oh so sorry you didn't have a good experience. Let me know if you try out the Bio Ionic and how it works for you. My sister in law has extremely thick and coarse hair and she loves it.
Well, well, well....I actually picked up the Bio Ionic on May 25 at Ulta for half off! I was so happy it was on their hair sale because I’ve been eyeing it ever since seeing you talk about it so much.
You should have done a review on the T3 Lucea.. Can't find enough reviews of it. Plus size wise it would match the other 2 irons.. And it is less expensive and I understand that's what you're comparing the same price range butninfairnot was unfair comparison of t3 to the others
I have the GHD Platinum. I curl with it more than straighten and I think it does a good job. I prefer it to the Glam Palm that I had before. I don't use it much since I got the Dyson Airwrap though.
Love this but I have a request would you plz do a vid on the best cheap straightener from Walmart I know you have done one similar to this before but I’m asking Pacifically Walmart plz SML also I wanted to say you always have the most uplifting and happy vibes in every one of your vids.
My favoriteeee favorite flat iron i've ever owned is the nume megastar, honestly only flat iron that doesnt fry my thin hair and has lasted longer than any other
I have the T3 flat iron 1.5” and let me say, if you have hair that’s more on the dry side this does pull the hair a bit. It doesn’t leave my hair silkier. only flat, dull and lifeless. For the price I do not recommend it. The only reason I keep using it is because of the auto-shut off feature and to get use out of it for being expensive.
Can you recommend products to keep curly hair straight in humid weather? I love my hair straight in the summer but it gets wild in the hot humid weather.
Okay, talk to me about your pink brush!! You went from that super expensive to the pink one and I want to know what you like about it and how cheap one vs the expensive one is?
Milabu i so wanted this flat iron but already purchased the nume! They had a 50% off before I saw the Ulta ad :( I am very happy with the nume though!!! yes congrats on the ad! I love your videos :) thanks for your time and knowledge!!!
What about the top-ranked straightener called the CROC Infrared Flat iron, it won like all the awards in 2018 ? really missing out on some of the real pro stuff.
Can you PLEASE tell us which is the STRAIGHTENER you LOVE and find best of all? Which one do you always reach for? I would really love to hear, as I respect your opinion and reviews SO MUCH. Thank you. Teddy UK xx
I thought it wasn't good to use heat tools on "dirty" hair, like 3rd or 4th day, since the oils might make the hair heated more in the oily areas? Idk I was always afraid to. Is that false? Or is it true? Why or why not?
Your videos help me so much! Can I ask, by day 3 do you have any products in the hair? I often wonder if it would be better for me, to leave products out if I want to try and go 3 days (which I do normally want to go 3 days). Especially because I use a flat iron or curling wand on my hair each day, I wonder if product makes the hair more sensitive to damage, I don't know.

Any tips on using a straightener to curl thigh length hair please as I have only ever used tongs or other none heated tools/ways to do mine? It would be greatly appreciated!

Can you Please do a review of the Head Kandy products? I would Love to know what you think of their one upper straightening brush and their miss priss flat iron!! As well as their loud mouth curling iron and BFF Blow dryer!!!💖
The Bio Ionic isn't really sold in the UK which is a pity. I currently own a pair of Babyliss straighteners, which are old now, and a pair of the new Remington titanium straighteners with the floating plates. However neither are as good as the Corioliss straighteners which I loved so much until they died. If I could afford a pair of Corioliss C3 straighteners I would get them in a heartbeat...
Love your videos...got the Bio Ionic last week at Ulta inspired by your reviews...can you do a video on shorter layered hairstyles with BioIonic 10x? Unlike how easy you make it seem, it is a struggle to get the curls right with a straightener!!!!
kanika jain it literally took me 2-3 years to perfect the curl I wanted with my straightener! I watched every review I could find on RUclips and just tried twisting my risk at different angles/severity until I figured it out!
Hi Milabu! Great vlog, as always. I have a dilemma I hope you can help with! My husband is in the armed forces and is going out of area for six months tomorrow 😣 so we had to have Christmas early. We celebrated it last weekend, and one of my gifts was a set of 1inch T3 single pass straighteners. I've tried them once and while I didn't find them to be single pass, I felt they were smooth going over my hair and did the job - I used the lowest temp to minimize damage. I have fine, naturally curly hair which is naturally very dark brown but now with a lot of white (embracing the greys!). Fast forward one week, and I got a message saying I've won a GHD styling set 😂 consisting of a hairdryer and a 1 inch platinum plus straightener. I have a Dyson hairdryer, so I'm not interested in the ghd one, but I am curious about the ghd straighteners...I still have my original set of ghd which I worked out must be at least 20 years, yes years, old!!! (I haven't used them in years...) The T3 set was a steal at only £70 (so roughly $100) from TK(J) Maxx...now I'm not sure what to do...return the T3, sell the ghd...? Help! Do you have any thoughts? I'd be so grateful. Thank you xx
I'm sorry, but how could the GHD one not have a temp button for over $200???????? My $30 flat iron has better temp control than that, AND it displays the temp in a digital display! 🤯

I don't use flat irons anymore for straighten my hair but I do use it to curl. It works well and gives great volume. The T3 is such a pretty iron💋💋

Yeah it’s not the best. I’m visiting family in Florida in October, so I may grab the bio ions whilst there as can’t get in the uk
Same. I have the classic - which I've had for over 10 years and still going strong - and I love it. Won't buy any other flat iron.
Does ur ghd platinum plus leaves a burnt smell on ur hairs? ... Mine does

However neither are as good as the Corioliss straighteners which I loved so much until they died. If I could afford a pair of Corioliss C3 straighteners I would get them in a heartbeat...
Is your fav flat iron/multi styling iron the Bio Ionic? I purchsed the dyson and dont love it at all. I am sending it back.
I have the same texture as you…. Comparing the bio ionic and the dyson…. Which one wins?
I feel like the bio ionic side looks puffy.
which one is better in taming flyaways? because noticed that I get a lot of flyaways when i straighten my hair
I can't find any CHI reviews?? They seem fairly popular? WOuld love to see some in the future!
(I haven't used them in years...)
The T3 set was a steal at only £70 (so roughly $100) from TK(J) Maxx...now I'm not sure what to do...return the T3, sell the ghd...? Help! Do you have any thoughts? I'd be so grateful. Thank you xx
I bought the T3 and it sucks . I bought one from Walmart and it’s amazing. More expensive does not mean better.
Have you ever used or compared the Lange products?! I bought my sister the titanium flat iron and she loves it! Just wondering how it stacks up?
I'm sorry, but how could the GHD one not have a temp button for over $200???????? My $30 flat iron has better temp control than that, AND it displays the temp in a digital display! 🤯
Thank you for the comparisons! Would you mind doing a review on the Maxiglide flat iron?
Не знаю о чем вы говорите🙈😊, но прически на короткие волосы у вас классные👍😍
