I think Agent Chess is programmed to have a crap opening and then get stronger. ChessGPT, on the other hand, has decent openings and then gets weaker. At least in my experience. If I had to justify why e4 was played It was probably to open up lines for bishops and open the lines for rooks to get tempo on the queen because whites king is in the cemter

Mate in 3 also Qa5, if white goes kc8 it's mate with Qa8. So white has to go Kb8, then Black with Kc6 , White Kc8. Then black mates with Qa8.
