Thank you Beauty of Joseon for releasing a more matte SPF. I don't like the dewy look personally so I'm hoping this release might make some other companies release a more matte sunscreen too as a new trend and then the dewy girlies and the more matte girlies like me can both be happy!
APLB has a Urea face cream that I would love to see you try! I have tried their Niacinamide/Glutathione body cream and it is fantastic. A brand to check out...
Hi Kelly I really love a lot of K beauty (especially hydrating toners, essences and serums) as they work well on my hypersensitive rosacea and eczema prone skin. Until recently however I was a bit underwhelmed with their moisturising creams aimed at dry skin - really pleasant creams that work for me in the warmer months, but were useless in colder weather. I should say however that I am extremely dry with 52 year old fully menopausal skin that needs a rich texture. I've tried most of the ato creams etc and just wasn't getting enough from them. I decided to try the Zeroid oint cream very recently and I am so glad I did. Now it's still not enough for at night but I often use a richer greasier balm at night, however it's great for daytime and sits well under my spf whilst still keeping my skin soft and comfortable for hours (extremely difficult to find in any moisturiser). It's 80mls and fairly affordable so I really like being able to slather it on without guilt re price😂. Best wishes x
Im 30 but I feel the same way re: k-beauty creams! Have you tried the Manyo Factory Panthetoin balm? It looks so good but I dont want to be disappointed 🙃
Same here! I have bought many creams and just find that they’re all okay but have not found THE one that is magic for my dehydrated skin.. I recently bought this Celimax barrier cream and this by far is the best out of all the kbeauty creams I’ve tried.. I would recommend this one!
Thanks for this great video Kelly. I am looking for a toner that can provide plumpness to my skin, just as the Tiam B5 toner does. Do you think this Numbuzin #5 toner can do that? Big hug from Colombia 🥰
Hi! Absolutely love your content and have made my choices based on your feedback. Can you please give your opinion on Medik 8 peptides vs Geek and Gorgeous❤
I'm currently trying the Geek & Gorgeous retinal serum but I literally just started last night, so I can't say much yet. Normally I love the G&G range and love their peptides serum!! Paula's Choice retinal, eh? I'm taking notes, Kelly. Especially because I have some redness on my cheeks. When I go through my G&G retinal, I'll give it a try. P.S. I missed your one-handed skincare video because I was away, therefore, I didn't know you had sprained your wrist. Glad to see you're all healed. I'm going through a painful eye irritation right now, hope you'll send some positive thoughts my way ☺
I loved the numbuzin 5 plus toner. I also used their serum, sheet masks and toner pads and like them. i saw from a few Japanese RUclipsrs I follow that they also released face creams, an oil cleaner and a normal cleanser in the 5+ line but it does not seem to be available for us yet. Maybe only in Korea and Japan at the moment.
i've been really liking the purito relief centella sunscreen! though it is still a bit too shiny for my taste (i usually powder the outside of my face when i do my makeup so that the hair around my face doesn't get greasy as it is quite thin already) i'm so impressed by how seamless the application is. my previous go-to was the skin1004 hyalucica, but now i can't help but notice the slight whitecast when i apply it that makes me have to be quite careful in the application so it looks even. the purito one is completely clear though so i can apply it so fast! i'm looking forward to trying the new boj as well once i'm through the sunscreens i bought to try this summer
Hi Kelly! Always love your reviews. I think I have all of these products! Can you use the Numbuzin toner with other actives, like the G & G 15% Vitamin C and G & G peptides in the same routine? I try to be very cautious about using too many actives because I have sensitive skin and have damaged my barrier in the past. I’m in a pretty good place with my skin right now, but still need those well-aging, pore minimizing, hydrating/plumping and brightening products and… even at 57 I still have occasional breakouts or hormonal acne. Thanks for all the great content and recommendations. 💕🇨🇱💕🇨🇱
Thanks for another great video, Kelly. You're definitely my skincare guru 😊 I completely agree with your thoughts on that geek and gorgeous power peptides serum. I was skeptical, but it WORKS. And it's affordable. And pleasant on the skin. I've been wanting to try that stratia toner since it came out, but I have been waiting until I need a new bottle of lipid gold and interface. But darn, do I want to try that one 😊 it sounds perfect! ❤
Kelly, is the Paula’s choice retinaldehyde beginner’s friendly? I have tried Cosrx 0.1 retinol which causes redness and itchiness to my skin. Should I switch to Paula’s retinaldehyde?
I use them both and honestly love both! G&G shows more firming sooner but P&L enhances overall tone and texture a little more. But G&G texture isn't for everyone so if you are asking because you're interested in trying for yourself, you'll want to keep your own skin type in mind.
I think I was asked about that one recently on Instagram, looking at the ingredients I noticed some denatured alcohol which doesn't make it a bad product but might not be suitable for dehydrated folks.
Thanks for the video ❤ I have a lot of questions 😊 1. How much of arbutin is in the No.5 toner? 2. I am a long-time prescription 0.1% tretinoin user. As you mentioned, it limits the use of other products and devices. I was wondering if it is alright to use the Paula's choice and my Rx tretinoin on alternate days. 3. I am Fitzpatrick 4. Of late, I have heard that it is better to use a mineral sunscreen, especially if I have hyperpigmentation, since a chemical sunscreen can heat up the skin and worsen the hyperpigmentation. Is it a fact?
I wouldn't suggest using the PC retinal with tretinoin since it's a very potent dual retinoid. You might want to try a lower strength retinol or a single retinaldehyde product if you want to test cycling them. The arbutin is listed fairly low so don't expect any impressive large %, this toner is about over all formulation working to brighten the skin, not individual ingredients doing the heavy lifting. I don't have the expertise to help you with your other question.
For question 3, I can offer my anecdotal evidence. I have Fitzpatrick 4 skin as well, and have hyperpigmentation. I’ve noticed that when I use mineral sunscreen, my skin is more calm, less red, and less prone to getting irritated. I’ve used western and Korean chemical sunscreens, and the most gentle chemical sunscreens still feel “warm” on my skin, especially during the summer months. After I got fraxel laser, I was advised to only use mineral sunscreen. I tried using chemical sunscreen (Skin1004 sunscreen in the blue bottle) and it STUNG! So that goes to show that even gentle sunscreens can cause irritation. My personal favorite mineral sunscreen is SkinMedica Essential Defense Mineral Shield SPF 35. I’ve repurchased it 6-8 times, and it’s my holy grail for dry, acne prone, reactive skin.
@KateRipley Thank you for the reply. Early on, mineral sunscreens either left a white cast or stung my eyes badly. When the tinted ones came on the scene, they would pill. While I have had a very pleasant experience with Korean sunscreens (haru haru Wonder is my favorite), I am getting serious about treating my hyperpigmentation from all angles. So I will look into your recommendations! I stopped using my omnilux red light recently since there was a talk about how it could heat up the skin and worsen pigmentation in fitzpateick 4 and above, especially with melasma. The conclusion was that pulsed near infra red light was better for people of color. AND the appearance and increase in my pigmentation coincided with the start of my red light therapy.
I wasn’t crazy about a couple of Stratia products. But this toner sounds legit. Going to have to try it sometime next year since I am loaded on toners this year.
Love the PC’s retinoid dual serum and best peptide is G&G. My favourite cream is Sungboon Editors astaxanthin cream 😊 Kelly look at Niche Beauty Lab’s Urea cream it’s amazing 😊
I think the numbuzin is probably more deeply hydrating (if that makes sense) but both offer long-lasting hydration. Stratia also has a little bit of a slip in the texture and numbuzin doesn't.
What video is it where u show the PDRN spicule product that you said you were enjoying? Its not the PDRN essense with the short bottle that has spicules in it is it ? Omg i am in love with the GG peptides serum i have been through 3 sense i discovered it almost out and im making another order today. My other favorite product has been the new reformulated Allies of skin Advanced peptides and antioxidants that thing is amazing and i have seen real results in one bottle infact im ordering another today while the sale is on and a few other things. I use the Medick8 retinal in the lowest dose and its done great for my skin but its pricey and i think I'm ready to go up finally after a year using it but i was thinking of trying out the GG 0.05 retinal it has similar ingredients as the Medick8 but its only like 15$ and the Medick8 is like 70+ depending on the number u get. I use the Niod CP but Theramid is having their 30% off all month of nov sale and i heard great things about their CP serum the Azealic serum and peptides serum, their CP is the highest dose out u can get in q serum i think 3% and u can get a big bottle for like 50$ or the regular size for 26$ with the sale. Have u tried Theramid products? My favorite SPF has been The Lab oligo HA essence SPF 50 PA++++ i think its new this year and its really nice im impressed it feels like a drink of water on the skin.

Same problem here with my sensitive and dry skin. I tried a few moisturizer, but nothing really convinced me...
Do you prefer geek&gor peptide serum or the ordinary multi-peptide + copper ??
G&G for sure, better results without a copper scent!
