@@ITSRICHARDLAU i would keep it on, it will ensure that your monitor lasts and avoid burn in. I have two monitors so when this occurs I just focus on the second one until it finishes.
Only thing I’m worried about is my gpu being able to keep up with the extra pixels I have a 7800xt and get 80-110 fps on cyberpunk on a 32in 1440p display so hopefully it doesn’t tank that performance
Got this Alien right in front of me... Verry happy with it but one annoying thing about it is cleaning the screen... can´t get it clean, it always looks like there is a kind of greasy leftover. i did try some tips but nothing looks to be working. even tried distilled water with a super fine microfiber cloth. Maybe someone has a golden tip for me???
Distilled water and microfiber cloth should be all you need. If not, it could be some kind of permanent mark from the packaging. You might be able to RMA it.
I use a small amount of dish washing liquid and slightly damp microfiber towel. wipe it 3 times.. with little soap and damp micro cloth, then with only damp cloth and then with a dry microfiber.
@@Marshmellow52013this.. never use soap. Distilled water and microfiber is ALL you need. Soap has micro particles in it that can and WILL eventually scratch the gloss panel. Distilled water is pure and has no micro particles in it, and a fresh new microfiber cloth is the cherry on top 🫡
no offense amigo but you mostly just discussed the ultrawide aspect of this when what I'm looking for is a comparison to modern ultra wides, i mean this is a 2 year old product
thanks for the feedback, this is an older monitor but i was focused on what it offers for the competitive price point. many of the modern options do offer higher performance such as 240hz+ etc etc, but the prices are astronomical. this was a deal i found during the blackfriday/holiday sale season and wanted to share it to those who want something affordable
@@ITSRICHARDLAU I hear ya, I'm trying to decide on if I want to return my 34" VA panel that i just bought for 300 and order this monitor for $480 and the clock is ticking on that deal so I'm a tad stressed myself
@ i’d say you can’t go wrong with 480 for an oled panel, not sure about the specs of your current monitor, but even if it’s the same/similar the oled experience is next level if you’re looking for something rich in contrast
personally, i recommend getting a 240hz oled. no point in spending $500 for 165hz. just spend $200+ more for something better. i have two Asus 27” WOLED 1440p 240hz 0.03ms monitors and they’re fucking great. no need to go for a 360hz at all.
I never understand when people make these kind of comments, “don’t buy this when you can buy something better for more money” like yeah obviously you can get something better if you pay more ☠️
@@Priimacy sure, but you're not suggesting something that's the same price. You're saying don't buy this product for $500 buy this other one for $700 +. Which is pretty useless am I right?
How is this underrated? It is literally at the top of every ultrawide monitor list I can think of.
Just got this as a gift today, monitor is insane.
glad you like it!
Thinking about buying this. I have a budget LG ultra gear 32inch
Shit what a gift ❤
@@ITSRICHARDLAUdo you use your ps5 with it ?
Nvidia supports Freesync. It just doesn't have as much framerate range as Gsync (but it also doesn't require an extra chip, so it's cheaper).
Just get the AW3423DW (non-F) and you will get gsync ultimate, as well as still having access to freesync.
What speakers do you have sitting on your desk? I love the look bro and good video!!
@@baileyjefferson5645 it’s the Audioengine A2+ Wireless :)
I waited for the price drop, was def worth the 650 price point. great review! Only thing I hate is the pixel refresh but its not a deal breaker.
i managed to disable the refresh so the pop up doesn’t show - not sure if it’s dangerous to do but haven’t ran into any issues

I got it for $480 on best buy open box
@@ITSRICHARDLAU What is the procedure to do this "disable the refresh so the pop-up doesn’t show ?"
@ i waited for the pop up and it gave me an option to select to ignore the message i believe. i’m sure in the setting menu you can find it as well
I got the Samsung Odyssey G8 pretty much about the same but has the anti glare
Just ordered mine for $630 from dell website just waiting for delivery now

it should be able to achieve a similar fps, potentially just slightly less due to the wider horizontal resolution but i’m sure you’ll fine :)
