thanks for the feedback, this is an older monitor but i was focused on what it offers for the competitive price point. many of the modern options do offer higher performance such as 240hz+ etc etc, but the prices are astronomical. this was a deal i found during the blackfriday/holiday sale season and wanted to share it to those who want something affordable

@@ITSRICHARDLAU I hear ya, I'm trying to decide on if I want to return my 34" VA panel that i just bought for 300 and order this monitor for $480 and the clock is ticking on that deal so I'm a tad stressed myself

@ i’d say you can’t go wrong with 480 for an oled panel, not sure about the specs of your current monitor, but even if it’s the same/similar the oled experience is next level if you’re looking for something rich in contrast

Just get the AW3423DW (non-F) and you will get gsync ultimate, as well as still having access to freesync.

Distilled water and microfiber cloth should be all you need. If not, it could be some kind of permanent mark from the packaging. You might be able to RMA it.

I never understand when people make these kind of comments, “don’t buy this when you can buy something better for more money” like yeah obviously you can get something better if you pay more ☠️

i managed to disable the refresh so the pop up doesn’t show - not sure if it’s dangerous to do but haven’t ran into any issues

@@ITSRICHARDLAU i would keep it on, it will ensure that your monitor lasts and avoid burn in. I have two monitors so when this occurs I just focus on the second one until it finishes.

@ i waited for the pop up and it gave me an option to select to ignore the message i believe. i’m sure in the setting menu you can find it as well

oled displays aren’t necessary, it’s more so for the pro users who do editing or graphic work that’ll benefit from it. otherwise it’s nice to just have as oleds have great contrast. but is it a must? not at all

i’d totally recommend an active cooler for the ssd, it runs quite hot

Holding out tons of hope for this exact thing, but worried we’ll have the same issue with x3D CPU’s where they’re impossible to obtain around msrp

The 5080 is gonna be awfully priced with 16 gbs of vram and barely faster than a 4090. The 5090 will be around 2500usd+ after VAT and AIB premiums making the 4090 the best value option, there's a reason why even 3 weeks before launch you wont find any 4090 for sale below 2400$ new at retailers and even use market you will be lucky to find one for 2200$. The event will drive the demand up for the 4090 even further.

@@rraudales from my experience every drive’s advertised speeds are inflated compared to real life testing. and yes the gen 5 does get very hot. i upgraded my ssd cooler to an active fan/heatsink combo which def helped but occasionally i still see it throttle down if im transfer large files

oof im not sure if theres a weight limit to it, but currently build is extreme heavy and dense, i haven’t had a chance to physically weigh it but i can estimate it being a ballpark of around 35lb

as long as the enclosure supports the pci5 speeds you’ll get the most out if it, if anything it’ll run even faster compared to if it was an OS drive (since it’s running independently) being overkill or not depends on you really, pci5 is faster and will provide quicker load times and potentially a few extra frames compared to pci4. but it isn’t to say gen 4 is slow. they’re all fast. imagine a lambo vs a bugatti. sure bugatti can achieve faster speeds but it doesn’t mean a lambo is slow 😅 hope my analogy makes sense

@@ITSRICHARDLAU I see, I was just confused because after talking about how you would rather recommend to get the 4080 super instead (because its much cheaper and the differences between those 2 cards isnt big) he still decided to go for the 4090, thats why I thought you had made a mistake when you said that sentence, cause I wasnt expecting that xD

i was able to monitor the temp numbers but it def ran hot and throttled in performance when transfer large files and so i had to upgrade the cooler from a passive one to an active one with a fan. ruclips.net/video/qraO9oT-tps/видео.html t in this video i showed the install and it helped a lot

there arent 200 types of drives. Theres just HDD, SSD and M2 SSD. Thats literally it. So you only need a m2 socket and literally every motherboard produced after like 2016 has that.

You will still get a large chunk back. The cabin classic resells used on eBay for $1100 to $1200 at auction.

@@franco9001 @franco9001 I see your point, but how many people buy these used cases at these prices? There are 1,200 Rimowa luggage cases on eBay right now, including 200 ones from the U.S. Doesn't sound very promising to me. The issue is not the price, but the way the used items look.

Like pretty much anything that is a consumable good lol. I can't think of anything else around that price mark that holds its value, if not appreciates over time.

@@richieewinns I’m not sure who you guys are trying to mislead but eBay is full of Rimowa cases that barely anyone buys. There are 1200 items as of today. Somehow I don’t see them being in high demand. Especially dented ones with rich travel history which means as few as one trip.

@@franco9001 You can ask a million bucks for your used dented scratched case which doesn’t mean people will pay you that much. I get it, we all want to justify our purchases but let’s be also fair to ourselves.

How is that manageable? As far as I know 5 - 6 hours are the minimum that the body needs, but 7 would be the optimal.

it’s definitely not ideal, but i’m currently working 2 jobs (healthcare & running my personal media business - along with other e-commerce shops as a 1 man team)
