Thank you! I think instead of me talking about the boring specs, I might as well just show them side by side and let you guys be the judge on it. I do think the OLED takes the gaming experience to a whole other level! But IPS works just as fine.
if alienware releases a 4k version of this monitor, that would be pc endgame monitor for me. I had the old AW3418DW, the ips version for a very long time until i just recently bought the asus pg32ucdm but i would absolutely sell it and jump back to this 34 uw if they made a 4k version.
@@GTduzIt I've been using for probably several hours and this is phenomenal. I love the color and settings. If you plan go get this make sure you accept and let the monitor do a pixel refresh from time to time. That helps with the health for the monitor.
Great review. I am waiting for one to arrive as we speak. Have you figured out how to protect it from those static images like the score count or points in a game? How does it look when reading or doing research? I heard you say that you do work on it. How is that for you? I've read some people complain about problems reading text and am a little worried. Cyberpunk doesn't fill up the whole screen? Can you mount it via VESA? Thanks again and congrats.
Hi thanks for the comment! To answer your questions 1 by 1: -I don’t really try to actively protect the screen. It’s just another tool for me and it’s meant to be used and replaced (eventually) but I haven’t seen anyone have issue with burn in yet -working on it is great (email, writing, video editing) it’s wide enough to have two taps open at the same time (left + right) but not overly wide. -what? People complain about reading text on a 2160p screen? Because the text look perfect to me. -cyberpunk and most games filled up the whole screen, you just gotta change the setting. -yea it has VESA mount holes Hope this helps!
Hey Aki! I have a question, I am a video editor with a love for gaming too and i wanted to upgrade to an ultrawide that is good for both high refresh rate gaming and productivity, and this specific one is the one i wanted to go for, You mentioned that your premier timeline is wider now and you must be loving it, My question revolves around text clarity, in premier or after effects, assuming you would sit at an average reasonable distance away from the monitor, Do you feel like reading the text is hard? Due to the monitor being an oled do you see rgb splitting/chromatic abberation or any distortion on the text? if you feel that its not a big downside and you edit just fine on this monitor, i will definitely give this monitor a go!
No problem at all! I don’t see anything wrong with the monitor. Sure, if you want to drop $2k on a "perfect" monitor, go for it, but honestly, I have zero issues with this one when I’m using it. It works great for both editing and gaming!
The black and white ones are different monitors. This black one is much better in every way except losing 10Hz. I wish they could have just made two color options for both but oh well. Simple things can't be done anymore.
Hey bro thats a really nice monitor i recently bought a monitor that uses this same samsung panel it's the aoc agon pro 346UCD. It's $600. It has dsc so you can get the full 175hz at 10bit in hdr. Not sure how good is hdr accuracy compared to the alienware but for $300 less i think it's worth it. Plus it has alot of oled care settings in the menu.
I usually stick to Auto because I don't like messing with the settings too much. The only adjustments I make are to the brightness and contrast, depending on how much I want to get in the zone-like when I'm playing something immersive like Cyberpunk 2077. Other than that, I keep it pretty much at the default, with 75% brightness and contrast.
just too let you know you dont need that 27 inch monitor your 34 inch has pip and pbp witch mean you can use two devicies like a macbook or a gaming pc i use my gaming pc on the left side and the gaming pc on the right side
@@SadBoySocialClub1 Great question! I don’t think I touched on this in the video, but I chose this monitor because I’ve always admired Alienware's design aesthetic-it's clean, sleek, and futuristic. The base and arm stand, in particular, really stand out compared to other brands. I’ve used an ASUS ROG monitor before, but the triple-feet base was a bit too bulky for my desk and took up more space than I liked. With so many monitors having similar specs these days, I ended up going with the Alienware, especially since I found it at a great discount for around $700.
The quality and colours of your video are so good.
Really appreciate your kind words! I will try to do my best!
Your video quality is superb, my guy. Amazing that you’re able to capture the difference for the IPS vs. the OLED 🤘🏻

@ “fine” is not good enough for the enthusiast! Lol
Best review with 2 monitor same time
Great vid but 9:25 was so bloody unexpected for a review video haha.

The reason why 4k UW doesnt really exist cause you need a high end gpu to run 5120 × 2160 this may even be taxing on a 4090 due to the extra pixels
I mean you could get the aw3225qf
Why would switch it out? From all the oleds I’ve seen ASUS has the best of the best (imo)
Just got mine on black friday deal! So excited! I'm upgrading from a Viotek 32inch 1440p 144hz to this AW3423DWF OLED.
how much did you pay?
@GTduzIt with tax total was $706.
@@RandomYooser yeah they will had the same price at best buy, preciate it.

Really good video, been watching many videos. Having hard time making up my mind what i should get!
If you have the budget for it, it's totally worth it! I am so glad to upgrade to this oled from my ips monitor!
Got this for myself for Xmas. Only thing annoying is from soft games are not ultra wide
Interesting. I have not tried any fromsoftware games on this monitor other than Elden Ring. Elden ring does support fully ultra wide.
@@AkiTechSpace only with mods. It stretches screen to fit not native to resolution without mod
Holding out for black Friday hopefully this will be on sale I’m sure they’ll drop new ones as soon as I buy this one….
Haha, classic! But you definitely won’t regret it! This monitor is a super solid choice.
it is on sale on the dell and bestbuy website for 649 dollars

what wallpaper is this in 3:59?
Search armed-girl-cyber-world-5k and you should be able to find it.
Drone Futuristic Sci Fi Cyberpunk 4k
Why not MSI MPG 341CQPX ?

What do you mean by warranty being 3-5 years? Where are you getting 5 years from?
can u use your old screen next to curved for dual set up?
Haha I wish. But these two monitors are too big for my table. Also a flat + curved monitor setup is going to drive me crazy
What hdr mode do you use on the oled

I once read that this monitor has fans that could get annoying is it true ?
I sit 2 feet away from the monitor and can't hear anything besides my PC. From my experience, it's totally not an issue.
The „f“ modell has no fans the not f modell has fans. F modell is superior and newer, can update firmeware the non f modell can not.

I actually did not know about that! I will have to look it up how to set it up. Thanks for sharing!
U forget to mention the price.😂
912 USD
That's not bad at all. How come you chose this one over some of the others out there ?
Wow it's 900 now? I got it at discount a couple weeks ago for around 700 USD dollar. I guess the price doesn't stay the same for long nowadays.

@@AkiTechSpace You can get a 20-30$ VESA monitor arm bro. It's much better than any original stand which takes up desk space.
