As a Bayern fan I am absolutely baffled at what has happened to Kane he’s been phenomenal all season but has just lost all form for England which is really sad to see
You are right about the fans being much less enthused than what has been in recent tournaments. There has been an expectation that we should make the final give the route we’ve had, where we are clearly the strongest team. Performances have sapped the excitement. But I always thought we’d make it to the final after France messed up and went into the other half. So for me it’s no surprise
Where were the chances coming from? Foden had a shot cleared off the line and he hit the crossbar from his sweet spot + Kane had a very good chance that he missed but got a penalty for it. Also on what planet were The Netherlands better than England in the second half? I've watched England live against us (Slovenia) and they couldn't get a sniff at goal really. I'd say this was England's best performance this EUROs. That being said I don't see them winning against Spain unfortunately for you lot.
I support England but I live in Canada! I moved 15yrs ago over here where I live we all have England flags flying and are loving it every min.... I do get what you mean that England havnt played well! This game against the Dutch was by far our best.
Finals are always hard to predict. They are never as simple as the form team winning… pressure makes a big difference. I think it will be tight. Like the last several games.
as an irish man england have something very sepcial in that team something that got them this far and could get thme the trophy belief and courage, never say die that goes a long way,
Foden? Had the biggest chance of the half! Foden was amazingly dominant. Luke shaw killed the second half, trippier was living in the wing, shaw was coming infield every pass and made one good cross.
It’s a bit more complicated than that. After halftime the Dutch changed their shape and dropped deeper. Trippier wouldn’t have had much luck if he’d stayed on
@@ChrisBeevor0511Exactly, plus England went to a back 4 in the second half. Should have stuck with the same formation but with Shaw replacing Trippier.
Remember paul the octopus predicted spain to beat the Netherlands in WC 2010 final? It looks like walter the orangutan will be correct on spain beating England. Animals dont lie😁.
Mark, you say there were no chances in first half apart from penalty, but Foden hit the post and I think it was him who had a ball cleared off the line. Best half England has had this tournament.
Where were the chances in the first half? Someone didn’t watch the match… A goal line clearance, hit the post and several other shots. What exactly are you expecting?
Portugal won in 2016 by playing terrible football and scraping wins on the easier side of the draw. Whereas France had tougher opponents than Portugal reaching the final. Surely we can have that aswell.
That was Portugal with Ronaldo in his peak but before the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, João Felix, Vitinha, Rafa Leao etc. They weren't considered pre tournament favourites and their squad depth was lacking compared to now. Fernando Santos set them up to play like that because they would've just been outgunned by better sides otherwise. England can, and really should, play better.
@@happyapple4269 Harry Kane curse is different. They won’t win if he starts trust me. Harry Kane won’t win a trophy. Yamal will drop a Messi performance on Sunday.
Portugal played better than England, even with that lackluster squad. Portugal was either the highest or second highest team when it came to total shots in the Group Stage, and the three draws were actually unlucky, given the amount of chances created. England on the other hand, played terrible the whole tournament, scoring one scrappy goal and parking the bus hoping for the best. Luck only started for Portugal after the group stage. England have been lucky the whole tournament, from the first game of the group stage, to the semi-final.
I thought I was the only one that felt this way about the attachment thing. Haven't felt as up for it as previous years, but always back the lads when it comes down to it
Spaniard here, it's happening the same thing here. Nobody is celebrating the pass to semis or to the final even. I remember in 2008, 2010 and 2012 every game was a fiesta on the streets. Now it's like, win or nothing else... weird
As a villa fan, Watkins is probably the scariest st any defender can come up against when he gets the confidence and fans riding for him. He has to start!!!!
I don't think we are rewriting it, I think we are joining the party at last. Denmark: Didn't even qualify, won it. Greece: Didn't play great, won it. Portugal: Didn't win a game in 90 til the semi, but won it. Italy: Didn't light it up, just managed the game well...But...won it. Just have to execute rather than romanticise.
Consistent team selection is more important now than players in form. Super subs have worked out well so SG will keep doing the same. Best England match by far

It's both, the tactics suck, and the starring team is not much better
@@williamjones1869 been CRYING OUT for Kane to get a drop and palmer to start. It's not a coincidence that the last 2 games won involved a kane drop and a palmer sub. if you have to sub palmer on every game to get a goal, from being a goal down, then palmer should be starting
You mean those tactics which keep getting England to finals? Would you rather play amazing football but never get to a final or grind out results and get to finals?
As a Bayern fan I am absolutely baffled at what has happened to Kane he’s been phenomenal all season but has just lost all form for England which is really sad to see
Because that's what happens when you play in a crap league
You are right about the fans being much less enthused than what has been in recent tournaments. There has been an expectation that we should make the final give the route we’ve had, where we are clearly the strongest team. Performances have sapped the excitement. But I always thought we’d make it to the final after France messed up and went into the other half. So for me it’s no surprise
Gotta love England fans. 1 shot on target and we’re terrible. 4 shots on target and we are the best team ever.
Final 🎉
4 shots 2 goals 🥳🥳
Not just shots on target, chances created etc.
How man shots on target in the other semi?
It's to be expected with a team that has a tournament history like England has. I think it's just a coping mechanism for the fans.
Didnt Foden get the ball kicked off the line by Dumbfries and ring the bar in the first half? Those are 2 chances right there
The Dutch had good chanced too
And kane had one saved from outside the box.
And the 1inch offside
Mark is a total ding dong
Foden hit the bar too
Where were the chances coming from? Foden had a shot cleared off the line and he hit the crossbar from his sweet spot + Kane had a very good chance that he missed but got a penalty for it.
Also on what planet were The Netherlands better than England in the second half? I've watched England live against us (Slovenia) and they couldn't get a sniff at goal really.
I'd say this was England's best performance this EUROs. That being said I don't see them winning against Spain unfortunately for you lot.
Did you watch the game Goldbridge…Foden hit the post and had one off the line…they’re chances you muppet
C'mon England!!❤
I support England but I live in Canada! I moved 15yrs ago over here where I live we all have England flags flying and are loving it every min.... I do get what you mean that England havnt played well! This game against the Dutch was by far our best.
Finals are always hard to predict. They are never as simple as the form team winning… pressure makes a big difference. I think it will be tight. Like the last several games.
if England can start as they did in this game they got a chance. Spain are so smooth tho
as an irish man
england have something very sepcial in that team
something that got them this far and could get thme the trophy
belief and courage, never say die
that goes a long way,
Se vino para casa 🍓🍌🍓 📕📒📕 🔥🌕🔥 🟥🟨🟥
No its not lol
Oil up Mark im coming
Chances in the first half? Foden hit the post and had one cleared off the line mate.
They weren't better in the 2nd half - Koeman purposefully killed the game by filling the midfield because we overran them in the 1st half
Well done from Australia! Good luck in the final. Definitely your best game yet!
I'm Welsh and I still say that penalty award is a foul anywhere else on the pitch so why not in the penalty box.
Open your eyes mate that clearly was not a penalty
Honestly, it looked as if Kane kicked Dumfries foot more so than the other way around
@@morganalvarez5925keep crying 😢
Who's crying ??? If a person speaks the truth how can he
be crying you must be the
biggest moron on the planet 🤣 🤣
using your premise why wasn’t the McAllister kick in the chest not given
It was never a Penalty!!! 😡😤😡👍
It was 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 loser
Raised studs and didnt connect with the ball, thats so obviously a pen
Yeah it was
High boot, cleats up, misses the ball?
Its obviously not@@lewmatee2197
Remember paul the octopus predicted spain to beat the Netherlands in WC 2010 final? It looks like walter the orangutan will be correct on spain beating England. Animals dont lie😁.
Who TF is walter orangutan?
Paul is considered a saint for spanish people.
Bit harsh on the performance yesterday. The chances were Foden off the line, Foden post, and Kane goal..
Saka scored the offside goal in the position that Kane hasn’t been in for 5 games lol
COME ON INGERLAND
Mark, you say there were no chances in first half apart from penalty, but Foden hit the post and I think it was him who had a ball cleared off the line. Best half England has had this tournament.
SPAIN 4 ENGLAND 0 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s not coming home yet we still need to beat the best team at the euros Spain are so good this euros
good, to be the best you have to beat the best. we go as underdogs, if we did win, no one can complain right.
@@tonyrichardson2637Congratulations to Spain for winning euros 2024! Be objective don’t be blinded by fanaticism…
@SergioAbarca9 What are you talking about Sergio? Drunk too many sangrias mate, silly old ducker
exactly we are into a final, give the man some credit, love your work sir
Where were the chances in the first half? Someone didn’t watch the match… A goal line clearance, hit the post and several other shots. What exactly are you expecting?
Watkins should bloody start in the final.
Portugal won in 2016 by playing terrible football and scraping wins on the easier side of the draw. Whereas France had tougher opponents than Portugal reaching the final.
Surely we can have that aswell.
I still have a feeling Spain will win it. They are a really solid team. If they have more possession, they will win.
England can, and really should, play better.
remember Greece?
If I switch on the final and Palmer isn’t starting, I’m just switching it off and going to bed knowing we’ve lost
Now it's like, win or nothing else... weird
Well done England ❤️❤️❤️
As a villa fan, Watkins is probably the scariest st any defender can come up against when he gets the confidence and fans riding for him. He has to start!!!!
It feels like we've got to the final by doing the bare minimum. Struggling through in second gear when we could have done it in fourth or fifth.
Not feels like that is what has happened in every game for England
Where were the chances in the first half??? Literally hit the post and had one cleared of the line😂
I know right? Did he watch the first half?
Depends if you count long shots as a chance
What I thought. Foden also nearly curled one into the top left bin.
That's what I was thinking haha. Also had a few shots saved from outside the box as well created more in one game than our entire tournament.
Mark has lost it, I can't believe how much moaning is in this video... It's sad.
Your opinion yesterday would have been start Ivan Toney after his penalty and assist in the last 2 games. Incredibly reactive.
It's 75-25 Spain. We're just not expecting to win. Only luck will win it for us. I feel so Greek.
Greece won it though
You already used your luck twice. Only way you win in the final is if you get this ref and var again, lol.
Southgate has unlimited luck don't worry about it
Or Italian in 2020
Greece needed some luck to beat far superior teams, your squad is worth like a billion pounds.
There is nothing better than sticking it to the pundits, not bad for a manager, they said don't know what he's doing. Final of 2 euros in a row. Definitely getting a knighthood. Best of luck for the final ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The ref wasn't going to give us the pen. It was var
