As a Dutch fan, I'm absolutely fuming, just like all of our media, pundits and the team itself. But over the whole 90 minutes England was the better side. Sadly we'll never know how the match would've gone had England not equalized from a terrible penalty decision (they didn't even look at Saka's double handball leading up to the penalty).
The moment Memphis went off is the moment I knew we were done tho. British media hates him, but for our national team he's absolutely incredible. Even when he's playing a bad match, he always makes something happen. I'll support England in the final for Mainoo and Shaw, but I'd be just as happy if Spain were to win with a goal from Yamal, maybe even happier.

I think you're not giving that first half enough praise. Foden nearly scored twice, one was cleared off the line, the other was nearly a worldie. That first half was miles better than every other game of ours this tournament. It was clear that Holland were going to tighten up second half, but we defended well enough to limit their chances and when we got our opportunity with Watkins we took it, that's just football sometimes.

Watched you for a while Mark but I think you’re off the mark here. We were excellent first half, they hardly laid a glove on us apart from a sporadic long shot. We applied pressure and created chances brilliantly, Foden looked the best he’s looked all tournament.
Second half the game massively slowed down, which is expected, but England were still in control. Absorbed pressure and the Netherlands never looked like scoring. Southgate held off with the subs then put on Watkins and Palmer who combined perfectly. Subs were spot on. I find it frustrating that people can’t comprehend the differences between international and domestic management. It’s a completely different game, so much more cagey and complex. Not many teams win playing pretty football, it hardly ever happens!
Southgate got team selection and substitutions spot on today, and I think needs backing from everyone, including influential content creators like yourself.

Portugal played better than England, even with that lackluster squad. Portugal was either the highest or second highest team when it came to total shots in the Group Stage, and the three draws were actually unlucky, given the amount of chances created. England on the other hand, played terrible the whole tournament, scoring one scrappy goal and parking the bus hoping for the best. Luck only started for Portugal after the group stage. Depends if you count long shots as a chance

What I thought. Foden also nearly curled one into the top left bin.

That's what I was thinking haha. Also had a few shots saved from outside the box as well created more in one game than our entire tournament.

Your opinion yesterday would have been start Ivan Toney after his penalty and assist in the last 2 games. Incredibly reactive.

I don't think we are rewriting it, I think we are joining the party at last.
Denmark: Didn't even qualify, won it.
Greece: Didn't play great, won it.
Portugal: Didn't win a game in 90 til the semi, but won it.
Italy: Didn't light it up, just managed the game well...But...won it.
Just have to execute rather than romanticise.

Consistent team selection is more important now than players in form. Super subs have worked out well so SG will keep doing the same. Best England match by far

It's 75-25 Spain. We're just not expecting to win. Only luck will win it for us. I feel so Greek.

Greece needed some luck to beat far superior teams, your squad is worth like a billion pounds.

There is nothing better than sticking it to the pundits, not bad for a manager, they said don't know what he's doing. Final of 2 euros in a row. Definitely getting a knighthood. Best of luck for the final ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
