#badcompany #feellikemakinlove #1975
That’s because Plant and Rodgers are two of the most phenomenal rock vocalists ever. Their voice is their instrument. 😊
Next one I'd recommend is Bad Company - Bad Company
For sure! You haven't heard bad company if you haven't heard (bad company) (feel like making love) and (shooting star) lol
Rock Steady
Shooting star!
Paul Rodgers had one of the greatest rock voices back then and he's still rockin' nearly 50 years later...! Great stuff...!!! 🙋♂
Still has the voice. His physical training and clean lifestyle and taking care of his voice, has saved it still up till now. Somewhat miraculous preservation of his stellar rock voice.
Paul Rodgers voice is stellar,EVEN BETTER live.
What a singer,what a band.
British again.
Love this ( fantastic live version) though for me
"Silver, Blue & Gold" is their best ballad , rarely reacted to.
I would say my favorite by them period.
I love that song, my favorite from BC.
Paul Rodgers the Vocalist one of the best and Simon Kirke the Drummer are still doing the rounds. Paul is phenomenal his Stage presence is incredible!
Thank you so much!!!!
This is the bomb.
It's actually the promo vid for the tune when it came out.
It's Paul Rodgers singing live to the studio tune, and the music plays longer with no fade out, with a longer lead guitar at the end and Paul adding harmonica in the middle.
🔥💯👍
Love that bass track! Great song with a great performance.
Thanks for reacting for us to hear.
Y'all be safe.
That was a perfect performance, I love what you guys are doing with the studio version first and then someone’s favorite live cause we get to see stuff for the first time too even though we’ve been around the block a few times lol…
On that note, I’d like to officially cast my vote for your Black Sabbath War Pigs live, I totally agree with most of your commenters that you should do the mid 60s festival, before anyone knew who they were because it’s fantastic, but I think this is a song that deserves two lives because you really need to see the performance from their last tour… it’s almost spiritual … it’s decades later, Ozzy has reached A whole other level of greatness, hundreds of thousands of people do the percussion and the vocals for the first part of the song, people are crying just to be there, The earlier one, he was there to prove how talented the band was, in this one he’s there to give gratitude to the fans for decades of loyalty, It’s an incredible thing to witness! You also get some close-ups of Tony lommi’s prosthetic finger which inadvertently created the metal sound to begin with 🤘🏼💚✨ Ozzy Osbourne‘s birthday was yesterday, happy birthday prince of darkness, guess he’s on the brain Sorry to be so long-winded about another artist under bad companys video…. oh, those tight jeans, they all had them back in the day. It’s so funny… We loved it! Lol✌💕💫😎
Live!!! Paul Rodgers is amazing!!! Thank you!!!
I have always loved BAD Company they are awesome ! The video was new for me and I love it ❤️ keep going on this group they won't disappoint. Love your show, thanks 😊
Thanks for this guys. As someone who went to many concerts during the 70's I will have to say that you really would have had to have experienced the live, after having heard the studio. You brought back a lot of memories and made me smile. Thanks again.
I like this one a bit more because the vocals are more forward in the mix, but a great, classic song no matter which version you listen to. 🔥 Thanks Phil and Sam.
" bad company " next. Nice pick. Thank you for the reaction.
Ha, good old 70’s, bell bottom pants, long hair, open shirts with hairy chests!😂😂 Awesome song, never saw this live version, really awesome! 🔥😎
Great reaction!!❤❤❤
I love it when you guys do the live performances so we can see the band in action
This is what you call Rock and Roll and listen to I Can't Get Enough Of Your Love too
I was right off going to say that I prefer the studio version, for the clarity, but DAYUM I forgot what a good bada$$ performance this was!!
🔥🔥🔥💥💥💥💯💯💯
The first time I saw Paul Rogers with the group Free, with the song "All Right Now". Then I saw Badco in 1976, and his voice was as clear live as on the album. Great band. Shoot Star, Bad Company, Rock Steady, pure gold.
You nailed it most of us know the studio version so well but many have never seen them perform live. It would be neat if there were a way to react to both in 1 video a;lways doing the studio 1 first. Theres a video called Live in Peace done by Paul Rogers aand Jimmy Page. They also did a concert together Great reaction as always
They were in a band together called The Firm!
Two songs by them worth listening to are "Bad Company" (same name as band) and "Shooting Star." o
Paul Rodgers, the singer does play guitar and piano on some Bad Company songs. In fact he plays all the instruments on his solo album Cut Loose after he left Bad Company in the early 80s. It's a great underappreciated album.
What about Paul 's new album out ?
@@victorbradshaw7359 Yes, his new album is out and it’s good. He doesn’t play all the instruments on the new one though. I think he used all Canadian musicians which is where he lives now.
Cut Loose was a awesome album, Paul does it all, do Fragile, great opener!
@@vicprovost2561 agreed
I think it's smart to do the studio version first when it's an unknown song. However, live can add so much more to a song. I think for the most part studio first is fine but live very often adds much more.
Bad Company was my very first concert and it was in 75
“Shooting Star” is the next one you guys should do. Just for the record, I’m always some one who says the studio versions are the way to go. I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again.
Saw them in 75. Won't go into what through everyone's minds when this was playing😁. You guys are marvelous!!!
Paul Rogers is one of the best front man and has sang in many groups . His voice has not suffered as he has grown older .
Great reaction guys the song Bad Company is amazing you'll love it❤
Saw them at the Capital Center Largo Md this tour thanks for watching
I saw Paul Rodgers in concert in 2018. He sounded great and it was effortless. He seemed about as stressed as he would be having a cup of coffee.
When this song came out I was listening to an interview on the radio with Paul Roger's and he said this was the result of writing a song that was half country and half heavy metal
The fact that Paul Rodgers is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame means that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has no credibility.
Very well said!
“ Bad Company” studio then live please! 🙏
Paul Rogers was known as the voice of rock ‘n’ roll. I think I’m pretty sure that when after Freddie Mercury died, Paul Rogers toured with queen and sang all the queen hits on a tour. Bad company has so many great songs, Mick Ralphs the guitar player played with Mott the Hoople earlier in his career Paul Rogers sang for another band. I can’t remember the name at the moment, but had great hits with that band also. You can’t go wrong at all with Bad Company.
Had to drag out the Gibson "Flying V" for this one! The only way to get that "wall of sound"! The "back and forth" is called "call and response" used most often in blues.
Everyone listens to the old Bad Company, but one of their last albums it's great. Got some great songs, one being Little Angel, This could be the one and How bout That, all great songs from their Album Here Comes Trouble, 1992 I think.
Underrated band. Paul Rodgers is just about the perfect rock front man, and they really knew how to make a hit song. It's wild, this is a rock song, but it has a kind of Steely Dan vibe to it, too.
A Rolling Stone Magazine poll listed him at #55 in the top 100 greatest singers of all time. He was lead vocal in the rock bands Free, Bad Company, The Firm, and Queen and still has an active solo career. He turned down an offer to sing for a band just forming up that later became known as Led Zeppelin. His last record release is entitled Midnight Rose (2023). Some "must-listen" suggestions: All Right Now (Free), Rock-N-Roll Fantasy, Can't Get Enough, Shooting Star, Good Loving Gone Bad, Radioactive, Rock Steady, and Burning Sky are just a few. The majority of his most well known work was with Bad Company (6 studio records). Reportedly, he was not as good a fit with Queen as was originally hoped (2004-2009). I saw him in Virginia Beach 7-8 years ago as a solo act and he still had the goods then, not sure what he sounds like now as he is 74 years old.
"Wishing Well" for sure must be heard.
You guy's need to do from there dedut album the song is "Bad Company"
Hi Phil & Sam, Good band & song, I was just happy to be there in the 70s playing Music
A few bands that you could place live versions ahead of the studio versions are early GENESIS (with Peter Gabriel) and THE TUBES. Some may disagree, but they are both great live. The same goes for Alice Cooper ... props and costumes.
OMG, Lead Singer Paul Rogers' (age 73, btw) new album is awesome!
I seen the Bad Company Burning Sky Tour in St. Peterburg Bay Front Center. St. Peterburg Fl. It was Bad Company and The Outlaws, which was another great southern rock band from Tampa, FL. The OUTLAWS had a few big hits too.
This was 1975...I seen them in about 2000. They still rocked and Paul sounded fantastic.
And STILL not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...Rock and Roll Hall of SHAME
they done a live version very recently...well, Paul Rogers and a couple other big names done a version...was really awesome. . . .
Silver, Blue and Gold, shooting star. Love those 2 by them.
That was an epic performance! I never seen Paul on fire like that ! Freewheeling
Hey its your favourite English menace lol, great reaction as usual, just love the way the female half of you really gets into the groove, puts a big smile on my face, the vocalist Paul Rogers as I've said before one of the altime great rock singers nomater who he sang with, do you know what I love most is the fact that nearly all these bands are English, sorry lol,so again may I suggest a great song to react to by the same singer Paul Rogers with another great uk band Free, the track is Mister Big but the live album version not the live concert version, the bass solo is just the best, the album is called Free Live, you both take care keep up the great work English Billy.
Your half time reaction proved wrong my friends
Can't get enough
Paul and Simon started off in the Band Free back in 1968.
hi my name is Deanna I'm from show low az I was born and raised in Phoenix AZ I really enjoy ur videos thank u so much
As a 58 yo old the lyrics mean so much more now than they did back then. It was just a bad ass song. Now the lyrics mean so much more considering society today. ✌️, love ❤️
Love that bass line!
Ready For Love is my favorite Bad Co. somg... one of the best voices ever.
That's why Led Zeppelin signed them as their first artists to Swan Song records.
I lived in the next street to Paul Rodgers saw him often before he left to start his career seriously
Fabulous... gets "your motor runnin" ☺
Live for the Music 🔥🔥🔥
One of the best of British rock bands. You should also check out Joe Cocker’s performance at Woodstock of the Beatles song ‘With a little help from my friends’.
Bad Company was the first band Led Zeppelin signed to their record label "swan song records".
My #1 pic for a Paul Rogers fronted band will always be Free.
Incredible
Bad Company has a huge catalog that is fire. I’d pay to see Paul Rodgers to sing the phone book. He has fronted the band Free, Bad Company, The Firm, The Law and had a stint with Queen. Can’t go wrong with any of them.
Try doing " Shooting Star" you will love that song. Any Bad Co. fan from the 70's will tell you it's one their best.
Paul Rodgers did a few shows singing with Queen and was pretty good actually
Paul Rodgers vocals is so awesome
Nice start with this great band. Next do their signature song, Bad Company by Bad Company on their self titled debut, do the original and then live, well worth checking into. Absolute banger, Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶
Att Bars & Barebells
food for thought
Singer Paul Rodgers ( Bad Co, Free) and majority of 60's & 70's artists you've reacted to are all hugely influenced by black blues ( soul & Funk). In fact Paul Rodgers has a phenomenal Tribute to Muddy Waters album with allstar guests from David Gilmour ( Pink Floyd) Brian May ( Queen) and many others
Highly suggest
Muddy Waters - "Mannish Boy"
written in 50's but the 1977 version ( produced by Johnny Winter) is the most known and best version!!!
Fantastuc Reaction BTW
Paul Rodgers and band are the real deal !!
The amazing part is I saw this song live about 10 yrs ago and Paul Rodgers voice has not lost a bit of tone.
Paul Rogers' vocals are clearly live. There are a lot of small differences from the studio vocals. However, the instrumentals sound pre-recorded, like the studio version. Of course, it's not a complicated song to perform live, and they're excellent musicians.
That's correct.
There is no fade out as well.
You guys should check out a couple of deeper cuts from the Straight Shooter album called Deal With The Preacher or Wild Fire Woman, they are both 🔥🔥🔥
Paul Rodgers = best rock vocalist....EVER!
If you haven't reacted to "Wishing Well" by Paul Rodgers previous band FREE, then it's so worth a play!
You want your mind blown even more? Check out Queen with Paul Rodgers in the early two thousands or with Bad Company or solo doing any Bad Company songs after 1975.
Today, you turn on a classic rock station and Bad Company is playing!!!
Live version (Live At Wembley) of "Simple Man" from Bad Company in their later years, really shows off Paul Rodgers vocal talent.
shooting star/cant get enough/buriing sky/rock and roll fantasy/rock steady/good lovin gone bad/rock steady lots of good stuff from yhis band
Yall should do Bad Company by Bad Company. My favorite by them.
Best rock vocalist ever.
Freddie Mercury once lamented to Brian May "what do you want from me? I'm no Paul Rodgers"!
Enough said.
Paul Rogers great vocalist
Definitely in my all time top 10 rock vocalists. Great band too!
I realize that you have now done this song twice; if you want to go out on a limb and try for three times, I would recommend Suzanna Hoffs Live cover of this song (Suzanna was a member of the Bangles). It is a different take, but worth the watch!
Live vs Studio is a tough one. Almost every concert I've seen I left thinking that was awesome! Yet most live records suck to me for some reason? This one I think the studio version is better although it's still pretty good.
For me a few of the best live songs.....
Ten Years After - I'm Going Home ( Woodstock )
Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues
Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band - Turn The Page
Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold (Live at Blues Alley)
Lynard Skynard - Free Bird (1977 Oakland 'On The Green') > You've done this one.
Lots of others, when it's right it's right.
Cheers.
99% studio version first, then live. Some Queen songs are an exception (def no Bohemian Rhapsody) and Grand Funk Railroad's Inside Looking In..gotta go live first, lol. Peter Framptom is great live as well Prince and INXS were both incredible live, can do either live or studio, both incredible.
greatest guitar solo of all time- hands down
Not sure if you have heard Beautiful by Eminem. The intro and outro is Paul Rodgers singing Reaching Out by Queen 😊
I like that you do studio version first.
I also like "Radar Love" by Golden Earring.
For all those fanatical Steve Perry Fans….this is the Voice of Rock…..
Seen them in concert
Live
Bad Company, the song, from the album Bad Company, performed by Bad Company is fittingly the song that should next be reacted to. It's a classic. Truly the root of the band.
"Electricland' is very underrated.
Paul Rodgers is a rock God. The most recognizable voice. Live is a must and, just click on any song. His career:
Free
Bed Company
The Firm (w/ Jimmy Page)
Queen
Solo
As was typical back in the day, it's a live vocal over the studio track for a television promo. When you have a singer as good as Paul Rodgers who excels at improvisation, they usually suck at lip synching, and they hate to do it. So a compromise is to have a mix of the studio track without the vocal so that the singer can still let loose. The 1970 All Right Now from BBC Top of the Pops is another good example of this. There's a "live" Rock N' Roll Fantasy here on youtube from some German tv show where Paul is forced to lip synch and he looks as bored and annoyed as you can get and he doesn't do a great job..lol
as all of the other's have already said - Paul Rodgers with anyone makes them a super group!!
Shooting star is a great one good story to it ...must here it to some many good songs they had...paul rogers 1st band was named free big hit was all right now great song to
You need to the more recent live versions are better quality!!!! Much better!!!!❤
This was one of the biggest jams when I was in high school, 1978-81. Pretty much one of the "soundtrack" songs of that era. The studio version is better.
saw them live 1979 in civic center minnesota. how about the song running with the pack
Thanks so much for doing my Bad Co. selection !
PLEASE do AC/DC Sin City live in Paris '79.
It's even better than the studio.
Bon Scott with Angus !
Thanks David! Appreciate you introducing us to Bad Company! We have Walk All Over You next on the list for AC/DC but we'll keep that one in mind!
@@barsandbarbells2022
Thank you !
It will get tons of likes !
For Walk All Over You, do the studio version with the video of them playing in it !
Add company does a song called Bad Bompany.
I think you'd love it.
