    Can't beat the look of big flares on a C3. It's cool you show the process, figuring out how you plan to assembly and bond the body sections together. Cool content!

    I bought my 73 with flares already done, looks great, no headache, gotta admire your dedication, no easy job. But well worth it.

      I passed up a clean 72 with flares 4 years ago that was mint for 7500. That car not running is worth 20 K right now. Price have shot up and it feels like a good flared Example is almost impossible to come by anymore. Appreciate you following and watching. Thanks a lot!

    I like how much prep you do before taking to the shop. Makes sense so you can see where you want the car to be especially on ride height.

    As a former 72 Corvette owner, if you consider a New frame I would suggest a triple round tube frame from SRIII Motorsports. They’ve been around for over 30 years, longer than any other. They can also set it up with C-5 or C-6 Corvette front and rear suspension with the exception of using a conventional diff and trans instead of a transaxle. Much stiffer than the stock frame. Good luck.

    Awesome work. I'm building a 1972 similar set up for SCCA Autocross. Looks like we have a lot of the same ideas. I got the body off and working on frame repair at the moment. I may need to hit you up for some advice from time to time.

    tastfully widened C3's rock. I prefer original 15" wheels though because they make the car look more muscular...more aggressiv.

      I like the 15 inch wheel look also. It definitely looked tough. Unfortunately my brakes will not fit in that small of a diameter wheel. 18 is what I’m going with.

      @@mayermotorsports 18 is the smallest you can run with your rotors? : )

    • @hirthirthirt1693
      @hirthirthirt1693 7 месяцев назад

      The wheels on the red thumbnail-image are the best 18-inchers you can find, arent't they? : )

    • @mayermotorsports
      @mayermotorsports  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, with the big brake kit that I’m running in order to clear the rotor I need to run 18 inch wheel. I might be able to do a 17 inch but then we get into tire selection which is very good for what I do. About a small as I would want.

      Does those wheels on the thumb now are CCW’s. They are super nice but I ended up going with a fort line. If you look at more of my recent videos, you’ll see what’s on the car now.

      I also have an 81 and am giving this some thought. If you decide to flare your 81 be sure to make a video.

    Love to flare my 76 but I don’t think it’s worth the $.

    • @mayermotorsports

      It’s definitely worth it to me. It’s a subjective style some love and some height. I think it looks good with big wheels and stance. That’s certainly not everyone’s style for sure. Thanks for watching!

      Money wise it may not be worth it. But the look certainly is.

    biden wants to End the Regular Cars and Trucks, anything that runs on gas. Instead of fitting the chassis with new designs. I Say Bring Back ALL the Old Styles on All the new Electric cars. When GM's sales were down on the Corvette I think they should have Brought back The Legendary Mako stingray shark instead of Copying a Foreign Car Companies designs. I know for a Fact there's been times Lamborghini or Ferrari or Audi an.. so on have had meetings on how to get more sales. I bet no one said.. Oh I Know... Let's Copy A GM Or Ford Car Companies design. GM does that all the time. What ever is selling the best. GM will copy some parts of it. One of the sexiest Trucks I've ever seen was a GTO Front grill and headlights and Chevy Body. F..king Badass Truck. Change a couple things here and there instead of copying a foreign car company's design. I wish they would have put a patent on the rear engine design
