The channel still exists but the website unfortunately has shutdown due to David Zaslav. Cartoon Network’s schedule has greatly improved over the pass few years.
It seems like The Hub was just genuinely uncertain about this show. If they had a good reason to cancel it, why NOT tell the staff? It's almost like they wanted to keep the staff in suspense, juuuuuust in case the market eventually demanded another season. Sure, it's not profitable to continue the show "now," but it'd be an even bigger risk if they decide to bring the show back when their older staff has already given up and moved on to other things. Lord forbid they have to hire new people and risk losing the show's charm. Therefore, it's "best" to keep them all in the dark. Indefinite hiatus is probably the worst place for any show to be.
They pulled the same thing, only WORSE with G.I. Joe Renegades. Worse because it had only one season, and it was screwed because of the lousy movies. They basically hid the toy line to sell all the movie merch that didn't exactly sell well in the first place, and they SWORE they'd bring the series back when after the third movie, which never happened, got made. So, yeah, they even treated its own properties terrible.

Let’s see how his situation with the imposter finally ends, grow Chris’ relationship with his mother and father in law, I don’t mean totally rewrite everything but let us see more. Hell bringing back Dan Vs can bring with it some new ideas, like Dan getting revenge on music, maybe a redo of technology using modern day stuff, maybe a 4th wall breaking episode for revenge on production or show development, who knows? That show always reminded me of Phineas and Ferb for some reason. The premises were wildly different but they had a similar mastery of formulaic comedy. Phineas and Ferb lasted way longer and never really got stale so I'm all for a revival of Dan Vs.
The reason why Dan Vs wasn't as popular back then is because it started airing during Cartoon Network's renaissance, being overshadowed by even more popular cartoons like Regular Show and Gumball.
Dan Vs wasn't the only show on the Hub that wasn't a cutsey family friendly show, as the Hub also had Transformers Prime; which was a pretty hardcore series looking back. I didn't watch TFP when I would watch the Hub as a kid, but I sure watched Dan Vs a lot. Really funny series, sucks the creators got dicked around like they did.
I would usually be against shows being revived on adult swim, but knowing that Dan vs still has its wonderful ideas and alot of actual good plot intentions, I think adding more of a mature spin on it would actually benefit the show since it's already tried touching topics that wouldn't normally be discussed on the hub

Transformers Prime wasn't exactly the most kid friendly of shows out there, and it got pretty dark. They almost killed off a child until the network put its foot down. It was clearly intended for a slightly older audience, proving there was room in the network for something like Dan Vs. But once it became Discovery Family, the only cartoons on the channel were MLP:FIM and other younger audience series. Transformers Rescue Bots and eventually Rescue Academy would still have a place there, while Robots in Disguise got dumped on Cartoon Network (in a crappy 6 AM slot), as did Cyberverse. Not to mention they were toned down somewhat from Prime. And the thing that's a real shame is how The Hub had Animaniacs and Tiny Toons reruns among others on the network just before Discovery just dumped a bunch of Cake Wars type shows in the afternoon to evening timeslots. A block of Dan Vs, Animaniacs, classic Transformers and G.I. Joe would have been an excellent mix.
I can already see the script: "Piece of SHIT!" And so, the Super High School-Level Biker gang leader pushed Dan to the side of the road as he left the scene on his bike. Yeah, I miss this show too. Dan Vs & R.L. Stine's the Haunting Hour, were the 2 best shows on the Hub! Haunting Hour was also not Hasbro related, btw. I'm excited to hear that there's a chance that Dan Vs. may come back!

It's like what he said in the video, petitions aren't really gonna change anything, but if people start to see a movement or a huge fan base of people who want to continue it, then they'll probably consider it more.

I don't like the proposed redesign. Dan and his apartment and world were just so shabby and even grimey when necessary and Elise was all sleek in contrast. Everyone's original design just feels like their personalities; it exudes it. I was really let down with the cancellation. The support for it makes me smile, but I do think the character redesign is unnecessary.
