Yes. It’s no different than consuming coffee or eating chocolate. The stigma needs to die already. All these fearful humans making decisions is more concerning than anything they seem to be in charge of in determining for everyone else but themselves.
I'm pro legalization and have used it plenty, but the Schedule III designation is not necessarily incorrect given its risks (and it's not just like coffee, like at all). I just think that the only fair thing would be to move alcohol to Schedule II and tobacco to Schedule I.
@@SkilledTadpole It is a stimulant JUST LIKE COFFEE is a stimulant. Stop it. Just like when abusing “drinking water” it can become toxic. Drink too much water in a short time and you can die. Do you understand?

Testing for THC needs to be a window of 8 hours. Thus, so long as you haven't used in the last 8 hours - you're good to go.

@@tonydeel2528😂😂😂 The effects don’t last 60 days. Maybe 3 hours if smoked. Longer if eaten.
@@highvibefreqzshow5967 that makes sense. But an 8 hour window isn’t a bad amount of time. It means you have gotten rest. You didn’t do anything for 8 hours prior to driving a commercial vehicle. Effects dont even last 4 hours. Its crazy how alcoholics get on here and bash pot smokers when the death toll of drunk drivers is in the millions.
I don't bash ppl that smoke Marijuana, to be honest I'm the type that has came home every after work for the last 10 years and drink beer. I hate it at this point, but it gets me to a happy place. But, it does and will hurt your physical health. I actually wanted to use Marijuana to get away from drinking, but I have pretty bad anxiety, and for whatever reason Marijuana gives me an instant panic attack, and I stay that way for hours after I'd smoke. I studied it quite a bit, and Marijuana has loads of health benefits and you can look at strains and see what terps they are highest in and utilize that for what your after. To me, I don't bash users as not all are out there just trying be lifted to space for days at a time. Hope this helps to know "we" are not all the same.
Just speaking from experience, try to figure out the strain of weed you have been getting. Different strains will make you feel different. Agreed, but nothing good comes out of abusing either one. They're legalizing it for people with chronic pain to use on an as needed basis. You're not supposed to smoke it all day long for the sole purpose of getting high. That's absolutely drug abuse, and there's no place for that behind the wheel of a 35 ton tractor trailer.
Don't forget about merchant mariners! Some of us are off for months at a time, but STILL can't enjoy the benefits of cannabis on our off time without risking our career. Its completely absurd.

Followed by replying to other peoples short essays. Homework assignments that have a checker for answers; so easy. Each week has a test. Some classes require you to write a final essay, but mostly just tests. If anyone is here because they're looking for ways to drive professionally while still maintaining a pot habit, allow me to tell you that there aren't any. While I do agree that it seems extreme to make CDL drivers go to rehab for pot; but the truth is that the government is not legalizing this substance for people to get stoned; it's for people with chronic pain to use on an as needed basis. If you're doing it just to get high, and you struggle with stone cold sobriety and you're finding abstaining extremely difficult; that means you have a right down to the letter substance abuse problem, and you should indeed be seeking treatment.
And doctors, lawyers, District attorneys, judges and everyone that is in a Government position should have to take drug tests !
As someone who lives in a legal state idrc if it stays illegal just take it off the drug test. Thats the most ridiculous thing about it in my opinion.

And if I failed that, they would deny employment. But currently they can’t report to the clearinghouse. So companies will still do their own testing by whatever manner they want and use that for employment decisions. As they currently do with hair follicles. The main problem is there isn’t an effective way to test on the spot for thc. If there was a breathalyzer for thc I think they might adjust it accross the board
The main problem is really that THC is not correlated with impairment. It's 100% dependent on the individual.
As an addict myself, although in treatment, specifically Opioid Use Disorder I've never heard someone now clearing THC after month which is mostly all people but there might be a few high body fat content people and slow metabolism circumstances people that need past month of clearance time. I do know that the mouth swab is not near as accurate, I've personally vaped two hours prior to test and had no issues passing unless I don't brush my teeth & use non-alcohol mouthwash but just an opinion that worked for me. Certainly want people to stay safe on the road, but I worry mostly about any drivers that are intoxicated on benzos, alcohol, fentanyl (illicit version) and people who smoked a lot then decided it was a great time to drive...Best Luck to everyone, certainly think Cannabis is much less of a worry than majority of legal medications, oddly this is coming from former Pharmacy worker after series of bad things occured around my usage. Best of Luck to all and great video!
So if we get a weed card and on home time can we use it and not be in trouble for using it on our off days of work 😅
2-3 days is still a bit rediculous. That still does not show that a person was intoxicated at the time of an incident. However it is a pretty good improvement.

They don't have to follow any state laws. Marijuana is legal in the state that I'm from and the FEDS are still coming in raiding dispensaries.
All state legalization means is, you cannot be arrested and or charged by city/state/county departments. The FEDS can and will come in and rearrange your entire way of life. Plus local cops can still bust you if you're driving under the influence even if it is legal in your state. It's called DUI.
