- Do engine noises get any better than this? The flat-12 of the Ferrari 512 BB LM sounded phenomenal from the pit wall, but it is something else when you're riding onboard. Thanks to@breittracing we can indeed see what it feels like to tackle Eau Rouge and Raidillon in a powerful prancing horse with power steering!

The sound of those 12 Italian cylinders 😍
Lawrence Stroll used to run his 512 BB often on his track, Le Circuit in Quebec. You could hear the flat 12 from miles away, it echoed in the Mountains. Whenever I heard any of his Ferraris running, I'd drive up to the fence at the paddock gate, just sit & enjoy...Since taking over Aston Martin, Lawrence has sold Le Circuit...he has quite the collection of Ferraris...250GTO, 512M, Testa Rosa, 330 P4 to name a few.

Are they as much work to drive as many on-board vids seem to suggest? From the driver inputs, the gear box and under/oversteer it looks anything but very driver friendly.

If I was to make a Speed Racer movie, I'd have the Mach 5 sound like a BMW M1 Procar and the Shooting Star (Racer X's car) sound like this.
It takes real skill to drive without touching the edges!
Those downshifts at 0:55 are heavenly and are a testament to the skill required to drive this beast

Magnificent! These cars were brutal and driving them takes a lot more skill then today's robocars.
Different times, you’re right. But todays drivers are not without skill either; top drivers in GT3; GTE & of course open tops are incredibly talented & skilled, or they wouldn’t be, where they are🤷🏼♂️

My goodness, a car with a manual gearbox, the driver who had to do heel-toe and a steering wheel without buttons. How indecent... Artificial intelligence for F1 and & C is coming today. HA HA HA
Magnificent sound, questionable reliability, and a very noticeable lack of torque to pull it out of the corners. Sounds great tho! 😂
The changes seem delayed and the driver seems tentative, making ground through brute power then giving it away.
Something about this guy's driving is so oddly unsatisfying.
