4:05 why is there no X intercept? Why Couldnt i have multipied both sides by x-3/1 and then canceled x-3s to leave me with x-3 = 8 then solve to get x = 11 ??? why wouldnt that work?

In the third example, what happens if theres no way to cancel out one of the binomials on the numerator and we get (x - 3)(x - 4) = 0 which leaves 2 possible values for x? Does this mean i have 2 x intercepts?

Yes it does, you will get x = 3, and x = 4
