Godamn sir thank you. I have an 86 325e that I've been slowly sinking time into. When I took the back wheels off I found no rattle clip, and amazingly, absolutely none of the parking stuff at all. The rattle clip was new to me so I watched yer whole vid just for the last few seconds..... because... great vid bro. Thanks!
@@fcpeuro 325is. It sits toooo much. Has less than 1k on Cylinder Head Rebuild and a attention to detail under hood factory fresh appearing mini resto. (God I hate to tear back into my hard work but it's my doing). I'm chicken to start it so Timing Belt and Tensioner, ( going to install Gates Racing Belt this round), Check Valve Adjustments, Oil Change, Then.....it's getting a complete 'Rear Subframe Out' Suspension rebuild with detailing and goodies.
You are a good presenter. Do some more stuff. What size wheels do you have on your E30. I couldn't read it on the tire. 225 something. I have an 87 E30 with the original 14 inch wheels and would like to move up. Thanks.
I would definitely change that 5mm rotor bolt for a new one so that it won't snap off on you at the next brake rotor change.. Also I always take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir as it makes pushing the piston in much easier.. Also sometimes you'll need to drain off some brake fluid after the brake pad change... Leave a small post it on the dashboard to remind you to check it at the end of the brake job..
Very True Mark, we are editing Mikes video on how to do a full brake system flush on his E30 right now and he covers a lot of those same great points you bring up! Thanks for the insight
Hi, don you put a brake pads waer sensor on the rear right? There are two sensors - one in front left and one in fron right for all models of e30 right?
Really good video. Parts ordered. I have a question....do I need to use the spring clips that slot into the pads...are those clips only needed for the sensor? I didn't see them used in this video. Thanks. I have an 89 325i.
9.06 is it 17MM??? Don't you mean 7MM? Kind of important if you're advising people what tools they need yeah?... I nearly went out to buy a 17MM size hex wrench... cheers!!
I'm a female trying to get into the e30 restoration game. I'm doing my calipers and rotors now and this video has helped me a lot.

Excellent video. The torque settings for the pad carrier bracket is 44 to 49ft lbs. 80 ft lbs is for the fronts.
You saved me $400. Thanks man.
That's awesome! Anytime, Vulgar!
Good solid video! Fun. Thanks FCP!
Thank you for watching Christopher! Glad you liked it.
Thank you! So much information 🥳👍🏼
I usually apply a thin, even coat of copper grease un the brake disc/ spacer contact area, as also center. Never gets stuck, and does not dries out.
That's a good tip, Rolands!
Top video, very detailed and professional.
Great vid very well explained and shot good effort guys never done this job before but feel confident now.
Just did one of these last month. Nice vid!
Thanks Kings of Asphalt, this job isn't too bad at all! Hopefully it went smoothly for you.

Awesome!! Many thanks! (Does the no Brakleen rule for zinc apply forever? Any alternative that should be used in future maintenance?)
Thanks for the video! I have a question, did you install a new hand brake handle or the OEM stock one worked? Can you show please? Thanks
