The 10 Rules Of Making Money: What I Wish Someone Had Taught Me In School

I’ve learned some these 10 important rules of money the hard way and some I’ve learned from listening to others.
1. Do the opposite: When most people are putting money out, you have to be pulling money in. When most people are pulling money in, you have to be putting money out.
2. Don’t invest in things that rust, rot, and depreciate.
3. Adopt The Win-Win Mentality: Sometimes you will find yourself in a lose-lose situation or a win-lose situation, but you have to figure out how to get into win-win situations. These are what I call “level 3” activities.
Make sure you watch my free live talk for the rest of the rules.
Here are the 10 rules:
1. Do the opposite of the average, poor person. Capital Expenditures: spending on something that can create income for you.
2. No Silver Bullet: There isn’t just one shortcut that’ll make you money. There isn’t just one path.
3. Financial Jujitsu: went right into step 4.
4. Manage The Distance: You’re not going to accidentally make money.
5. Allies : have the right allies.
6. Understand Signalling.
7. Be Careful of Following Your Gut.
8. Reframe What Money Is: It’s not evil or corrupt, it’s a tool. It isn’t scarce.
9. KILL procrastination with the 24 hour rule: what did you do in the last 24 hours?
10. Divide 24 hours into KSE (Knowledge/Learning, Strategy, Execution) and make sure you have all three.
👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Thanks

"...if the economy gets bad, I can sell the hammer."
Love it!
Who needs school when you got Tai?
Duel MasterBlaze GOLDEN COMMENT
i need school , and keep learning stuff one thing isnt against the other
About to sell my louis vuitton shoes and get more books
Investing video games over books is definitely a lose-lose situation.
I could be investing into my brain rather than investing into temporary entertainment.
Personally, I don't believe I can make it in the world playing video games. I'm not being stubborn at all. In this world everyone can find a certain market to be in. I'm talking about the books that aren't entirely for entertainment. I want to read non-fiction books on how to improve my life financially, physically, and emotionally.
video games alter your brain physiology and make you better at certain things. It all depends how you look at this whole win win shit. If someone is completely content with playing video games everyday and work a shitty job then that's on them.
+Doron Alexis It's actually a Win-Lose unless you don't enjoy playing video games.
I love this man, " Never invest in things that rust, rot or depreciate" is so on point
Your book list is amazing! Those books helped me a lot! Thanks Tai.
This type of talk accelerates life change for the better. Thanks Tai!
After this talk it made me think about my win/win and makes perfect sense the direction I should go. Great stuff as always.
Tai you made a reference to an old truck depreciating, Depending on the year and model old classic trucks actually appreciate in value. Thank you for all knowledge and wisdom you have shared with us in your videos.
This guy puts his heart and soul into helping people and gives so much free content. He truly is a beacon of enlightenment with wealth. People that hate him just hate him because he shines so brightly.
I really needed this Tai, so much struggle I've done and doing it again now but this will add my tools bro..keep changing the world man
Awesome advice! Thanks, Tai! There's a whole lot of win-lose situations. I wanna be able to have a win-win situation but something holds me back - fears, laziness, procrastination, lack of self-belief.
But this video is inspiring. Thank you :)
Why don't you call it 3/10 rules of making money? Also, how can I find out the other 7 rules if I've only found this video 1 year after you did the live talk?
IglooDweller my thoughts exactly... oh well 3/10 is better than none hahaha
loool hope he uploads it, as he's done with some others..
Shit I'm 3 years late.

thanks Tai, brilliant video as usual. The people criticizing you are just too ignorant to comprehend the value you're providing.
It reminds me of that phrase you sometimes quote from your mentor
"Dont try to teach a pig how to fly. It won't work and it bothers the pig."
I see your ads every video I watch, and every time it pops up I watch the full ad. This is knowledge worth knowing without these videos I wouldn't think about money in this way, I'd just spend spend spend thank you for changing the way I see things.
1) Something I've invested in that is appreciating would be real estate.
2) I would say that currently my financial situation falls into the category of Win/Lose. I work 50-65 hours a week at a job that I kind of like (Lose) but it provides for my wife and 3 children, & my wife doesn't have to work (Win).
3) Because I am at work so much I have not been able to make a live talk BUT I follow all of your Facebook, Instagram & RUclips posts and since I have started listening to your success story and little nuggets of wisdom you share on these social media outlets I have started reading a book a week, as well as started to make changes in my personal life concerning my health, wealth, love & happiness.
4) I've always been an entrepreneur at heart. Started 6 small but successful businesses. When married and had 3 children I felt I needed a steady job but still feel unfulfilled. **How can men like me (there are many of us) who have the responsibility of a family transition to wealth?ThxTai
how rare is people like tai lopez
not rare
Tai, Thanks for your tips... I do appreciate what you are doing for the world!
Outstanding coaching Tai.
Thanks for the video Tai, i must say I'm no millionaire I'm not rich and when I'm really down financially I find things that appreciate one of them is Jordan sneakers, I have bought plenty of Jordan sneakers under $200 and sold them anywhere from 300 to a thousand bucks, im about to sign up for the live talk, keep being awsome and sharing man, i appreciate it.
Things I spent money on that Depreciate : Clothing.
Current situation in life, I'd say it's a win lose. I'm currently a medic in the United States Air Force. The moments I love what I do outweigh the moments I wish I was doing something else. I do not get paid very well at all though. However, the experiences i've had are priceless. 24 years old and i've seen a good portion of the world. Thank you for another great video Tai.
Thanks Tai appreciate your messages!!
it been a great to listen you sir..you are really a brilliantly managed man..proud to follow you.
well said, i have bought plenty of stuff that depreciates glass which always ends up breaking, I was actually just thinking about some of the stuff that i buy that is not worth anything later (electronics) . I wanna hear more. I usually don't comment on stuff like this but you got my attention. this could possibly could change thew way i spend my money.
Wow ! Wow ! Tai you are making me wiser everyday. Million thanks Tai
I like this dude. Got very solid and informative messages. Keep up the good word Lopez!
The idea of not investing in things that rust, rot or depreciate really stuck with me when I took the 67 steps earlier this year and having a new perspective on how $100 can be spent in something uncommon like a seminar instead of a pair of shoes (not that I spend that much in fashion to start with) definitely stayed with me and I've been investing a lot more in myself because of it. Thanks Tai! If you're ever in the Toronto area, I'd love to have you in my podcast :D
TAi I live in New Zealand, and I'm a farmer (sheep&beef) I love my life. Your my inspiration, but I'm only 13. Keep up the inspirational videos.
Thank you for sharing looking forward to your seminars. Cheers!
Tai, you are an amazing inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I've definitely invested in materialistic depreciating clothing and shoes, but I just got about 4 books that costed me around $60 dollars all together.
Good stuff tai!! This video is really help full for my my life at this moment..
Ty I am 12 and I love that you share your advice to learn to get wealthy in life I get this help to all the people who doubt me in life

Thank you. I trust your choice of books. I can’t read the books, people and topics as fast as you say them. Now I have a list. Lol. Thank you for the tips and direction. I really need it. 👍👍

Im always has been a spender. When I resided in Canada I learned the hard way, whatever you do money has to go. So thanks for the advise. ❤❤❤❤
Very interesting Tai!! . Is make sense what u talk
Great video Tai broda now imma too create a win-win situation for me
Hi Tai! I am currently pursuing my ecom business with an online store in which I presently have a mentor in place to assist. However, I'm currently struggling with a win-lose situation with my peers. I haven't come across any videos from anyone relating to these "changes" in close relationships that I am being forced to relieve myself from. I am just so hyper-focused on reinventing my life and have "changed" in appearing to be self-centered, when I'm normally known to be self-less. These distractions were a struggle until today and has led me to the firm decision to ultimately cease defending my position and have put my emotions "on the shelf", as well as terminating those long-term friendships. They simply don't understand that I am evolving into a different type of character, in my pursuit towards entrepreneurship as I am now in a new/different role. I have rented my first home that I had built 16 years ago to free up my financial obligations and gain freedom to pursue my goals. It has been very liberating experience and I have no regrets! :) I have happliy made some enormous sacrifices and have completely stepped out of my comfort zone and although some unplanned/expected hardships have occurred but I have adjusted my sails gracefully and have orchestrated my dynamic to allow me the time that I need to dedicate myself to my ecom business 100%. I am called "crazy" by my friends on a daily basis and for some reason they look at my situation and believe that I'm unhappy due to my circumstances. I keep telling them that it's no accident and I am happier now than I have ever been. I'm FREE! I wake up excited every day! What I would like to know is, if you have any suggestions or experiences that you would like to share on how to move forward while your friends are dropping like flies. I won't allow anything to take me off of my course and I am very driven/determined to do all of the work entailed to reach my goals. No excuses! However, as solid as I am on continuing this journey. I have to admit that it's very confusing to me as to why people are being so disappointed and even angered when all I'm trying to do is remain peaceful and drama-free in my pursuit to be an entrepreneur! Nothing will stop me, especially other people that don't understand my mission, but I would appreciate any suggestions on how to handle this situation. I'm not in the business of hurting people but I feel as though it's really the only option to be successful in my pursuit. Thank you for inspiring me and for any reponse you take the time to post, in advance. :)
Love this thanks Tai
Sometimes real estate appreciates. Sometimes it doesn't. From what I've seen it's usually based on how developed an area gets. My great grandparents farm in Albion ME, 100 acre farm about 100 years old is probably worth about the same as it was. Factoring inflation. They bought it for $2k. Less ppl live there now than 100 years ago. To contrast wife's parents own about 100 acres in conyers GA. They inherited it from great grandparents. Originally it was about 2k. Nobody lived there. Now they get offers to sell pieces of it for millions.
+Joshua Webb its never bad to own part of earth!!! real estate is not where the money is but the land is. there will never be more land made but in the hood the land could worth alot of money one day. Just look at Brooklyn
Buying and holding land for several generations probably won't make me rich in my lifetime though. Probably need to do a lot of buying and selling.
I see travel the same way you do. My friends spend 1-2 weeks in other countries and it costs them like $5,000.
I got a working holiday visa in New Zealand so I can get paid to travel. Makes a lot more sense.
I just recently brought a pair of shoes that's straight RRD spending right there when I know I don't need them and they actually hurt my feet. I've been investing way more of my money in books about 100-200 a month, on Amazon that gets you between 10 or 20 books. I've always been facinated with books tai but you took it to a whole new level. Keep changing the mindset of people and the world. Your slowly but surely becoming Tai legend !!!!!!
I bump into your video today and am so blessed by your words...Am from African and I want to make money,,,your words are so powerful.. Thanks
I've procrastinated about watching your videos long enough. thank you for what you do with giving people free advice thats usually explained pretty well. I've wanted to start my own company since my senior year of high school (im 20 now) but due to.. lets call them "events" I've suffered a lot of memory problems that I'm starting to recover from but sometimes it feels like I was literally born yesterday. im basically starting from scratch. even my vocabulary as decreased immensely haha. but im always positive and am no stranger to walls. your videos are helping me climb this wall. if I had to ask for anything it would be a Playlist. almost like a vague step by step instruction series. im in the same predicament as you were basically. 10 dollars to my name, soon to be homeless. that sort of thing. thank you for not going away after the jokes about your original add too. keep it up!
hello Tai, greetings from southern CA glad I watched this video .. I will view your tube page, look forward to learning more advice from you thanks!!
I buy plenty of clothes and makeup that just gives me inner staisfaction that I have nice things that every girl should have. I still feel just okay. I thinks its time I need to make a budget and invest my money somewhere to have a win win situation because life is not gonna be same forever. Thanks Tai.
Very good points Tai!
Great info.! Thank you very much, Tai Lopez.
I have invested in a bunch of stupid stuff. Such as upgrades on my truck! I am now investing in books that will help me succeed!
Awesome. Free advise that works. Thank you. I love your lessons.
I work at an entry level job, what the hell can I afford that actually appreciates other than books and knowledge
Love your videos. Very motivational
Tai please upload these talks you do onto youtube. I can't always attend them due to being in japan and in school but I always watch them no matter how long it takes if you can upload a talk id be so greatful.
AMAZING BRO! Love your content
I recently started going back to that mindset of not spending money on anything unless it has an upside. When I was in college I had that mindset and would go months without spending a dime. I would go out to eat with friends and eat whatever they didn't eat and were going to throw away. I never went hungry, my friends never felt like I was mooching off of them, I had a roof over my head even after college and I crashed on couches in exchange for favors and a little money towards utilities. I'm trying to get back into that mindset, because it's hard to focus when you're constantly working to get money that is just flowing back out.
So many people hating on this guy, so many people trying to make him look bad. Why? Great video, Tai.
Great vid Tai great Stuff, thank you!!
I'm a shopaholic after watching your video I've learn so much, you are true legend, amazing mentor that I can look up too every time.

Thanks, Tai you're helping me to be a better teenager, I been watching a lot of your videos that will help me be a more successful teen in life. I always like getting good advice from you. I'm 15 years old. You're the best thanks for the tip that I need to be successful. I have no friends because I'm more concentrate on my grades & I don't how to socialize with others that well. I want to be like you when I'm older.
I think I'm currently in a win lose situation. I save money as a hobby. Always have even a kid, I just enjoy it.
I love your advise, Thank you!
My 4 year old son is a huge Tai Lopez fan. I let him watch with me. A huge thank you from 2 generations, brother.
i don't care who he is, how much he's worth or what he do. i just care about the knowledge and these are so darn good
That’s how I got the money to buy 160 acres of land. The trees get bigger too. Wait to buy the things that will always add to your monthly expenses. Buy that which can reduce your monthly costs. Good stuff
Suuuper powerful & true, thank you for sharing this wisdom ✨🙌
Great video, Tai!
i missed the 10 rules talk...anyway i can get the list?
Thank you Tai you are my mentor
Everyone should learn the difference between an asset and a liability.
Hello Sir, im very glad to find this kind of knowledge, just what i'ved looking for.
Thats such a great video. Thanks.
Tai, you are right about the Win-Win mentality. I've read about that in the 7 habits book by Stephen Covey. Keep up the good work
thank you...I love what your doing ...it's helping everybody thanks a million. not everyone can do what your doing.
Love this guy..nice Tai...GiGi is learning
I am currently remodeling an old house, mainly with my own hands, and now it's worth a lot more than when I inherited it, plus, I get a place to live for the rest of my life. I once bought this cheap old car that had a lot of miles, but it depreciated, because I ended up spending double on repairs to get it going properly. My life is currently in a lose-win situation. I work a full time job but I don't get paid much and I hate it. Though I also have a part-time job where I get paid and I like what I do.
Things That depreciated:
1)Movies
2)Useless RUclips stuff
3)Useless News Items
4)TV series
Things that appreciated:
1)Good Friends
2)bOOKS
3)Learning new Language(computer and human)
4)Sports
5)Stock Market
6)Passion
Never stop reading books. Books like the 48 laws of power and the seven habits of highly effective people will help you become successful because you are doing what most people these days dontt do. Always improving themselves. Every day. This is what made Tai rich and you can do the same if you're disciplined enough!
