Growing up my Mom would cook a Roast every Sunday before we went to Church so it would be ready when we got home & would sit down at the table & when we were done would watch NFL football! Great memories!

Many years ago there was a gentleman on TV called the Cajun cooker. He was way before his time He did this roast without these seasonings and it has been my go to for over 30 years. Can't wait to try his seasonings on it. Thanks for the tips Ralph. Just remembered his name was Justin Wilson.
That is how I cook my roasts, must be that Cajun goto recipe. I been cooking my roasts like this since Justin Wilson showed me how back in the 80s. Cept I/we use a roasting bag with a couple scoops of flour for gravy. Thanks Ralph
Wow ! Delicious! Now imagine being home a cold snowy miserable day and after you finish shoveling out the driveway and walkway you come in to warm home with this to enjoy! Oh Yeah ! 👍
I haven't cooked a roast in a year and forgot how so thanks Ralph .you get right to the point short and sweet with that good ol new Orleans accent just like home 😍😎

Little tip to share.. carrots and onions can go on the bottom, acting like a rack for the meat.. This will create an evenly cooked roast and won't be in direct contact with the bottom of the roasting pan..
I have MY way of making roast but yours looks and sounds so yummy, I'm going to have to try it. I'll lyk what my family thinks when I make it. Love your videos! ❤️

It looks really delicious. Great job 👏
Looks amazing!! Can't wait to try it!!
Love your content bub!
Question please - Why do you not sear the meat off before roasting?
He reminds me of Justin Wilson a lot, wonder if they're related
Where do you get them pots at?
Calling worcestershire sauce simply "W sauce" might be the greatest idea ever
Worst Chester sure shire sauce
@@slappy2836 pretty much 🤣🤣
Wuh-ster-shire it's really not hard, y'all..
@@MrErnieHanks I never got why so many people struggle with it. I’m American but have been saying it right since I could talk….🤷🏼♀️
I'll put that on a cracker dude
Sear that bad boy in the pot and deglaze with the beef stock.
Adding red wine is good as well. Also, rosemary and/or thyme.
You and I think a like!
Agreed
That's what I think, too. I was surprised he didn't sear it first.
I was taught this way as well...
Don't tell him what to do
I pay more attention to his voice than I do his food lol!! Love it!
I love this man's accent and his cooking too.
He’s trying to talk like a black
@@spokentruth5909ugghh no. Thats Louisiana creole/cajun

Looks great! Id sear that meat off before adding liquid, that crust is just another layer of flavor!
Well you go do that then! 🥴🙄
@@BlackberryTitties 👍🏼
Absolutely correct and it just takes a few minutes in the same pot.
I sear my roast too. Makes the flavour richer
Also to protect that seasoning you just washed off with beef broth.
Not only are you helping me learn great American culinary skills, you’re also helping me improve my English!

You should try searing the roast in oil on both sides before putting it in the oven to cook
That's as real chefs do, then flash it on a 550° smoker for 10 -15.
