I have always wanted to get an unbiased view about SWRD, because he is such a polarizing character, and everyone's account is coloured by their own opinions. You guys got off to a great start, so am eagerly awaiting the rest of the installments on him.

My first episode of Patta. Amazing production telling a story that has been carefully sanitized over the years. It’s amazing that you were able to get to sources long hidden to say the story like it is.
Oversimplified Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰 ... this is perfect! Add lil bit more emotions to the narration, it sounds bit monotonous. Loving everything else! Amazing stuff!
A very good account of a PM who laid the foundation to the post independance disaster that followed . If the policies of the SLFP that he formed were non racial and development oriented, it would have changed the course of history
Wonderful! Finally getting to see animated videos of international caliber. Good job! And I hope y'all will make a series of political biographies. One suggestion: I would love it if it had a Sinhala dubbed version too.

A person who we could have done without in our political history and should have avoided. The family has a history of being opportunistic and with their background most locals could not resist being exploited.
@@PattaHistory Yes, very much so!! The irony was that the man who flirted with etno linguistic and religious extremism met his untimely end via a robed relation of the 'rival' party, I mean family. It is hoewver unfair to balme only him, when JR, his bigot uncle, to a lesser extent even DS and most of these relations having assumed the majority identity in the recent past were party to the mess created. Most of the UNP voted for the Sinhala-Only and the LSSP that opposed later joined the SLFP government !!! Yet the voting majority cannot escape blame, they cannot even escape the cycle.
The patreon link in video description doesn't work. You would do well to have a slide/annotation with the patreon link at the end of the video. Far more people are likely to click it that way.

Because of SWRD Bandaranayake and the political party that he established Sri Lanka could never make progress. Otherwise Sri Lanka would be as developed and prosperous like Singapore.
