Mike - Thanks for the great video, I’m excited to learn they supply these upgrade parts as the original D1 support of any kind has dropped off the face of the Earth! Any chance you could post a review of the installed module and its performance? Thanks in advance!

Do you know if the 30w laser tree can be installed in the frame of a 5w xtool d1 pro?

You didn’t cover how to get stools software to recognize the 30 watt laser. Thoughts?

The software doesn't care what laser module you have. The software interacts with the motherboard on the XTool. Not the laser itself.
You don't have to do anything except change the X Offset for the cross hair to 16mm

So i can still use xcs? Also the air assist i use for the xtool, can that be used with the laser tree.

Just curious as I can’t wrap my brain around this. Do you have to do anything different in light burn once you swap out laser heads? Or does it functions the same? Thanks

@@shawnm4718 lightburn interfaces with the motherboard on the D1 not the laser module.
So no changes to light burner necessary other than changing your settings for the higher power module

any chance you can scan the bottom of the adapter and make that scan available so we could recreate this 3d printed?

I already created one and used it temporarily. I put it on Thingiverse. Part number: 6449713. It does not take the place of the metal one that Laser Tree can supply. Contact Laser Tree for that part. This is only meant to be a temporary solution.

Did you have any issues with the laser offset for this module? just installed the k30 on d1 pro but my laser offset is only limited to 5 mm

Can't you install this on the pro aswell? I'm looking to replace my laser on the 20w pro. 10 or 20 will do. But I'm not good at this stuff. Do u have to replace the whole module or can you just replace the actual laser? Many thanks 🙏👍👍👍👍

Yes, this installs a little easier on the Pro. You don't need the custom mounting plate, the one that comes with it will work. Also, you don't need the external power supply. But you do need the 8pin to 3 pin adapter to go from the XTool Control board to the Laser Tree Adapter Board! I would ask them about including that in your order when you order it

@@MikeColburn thanks does that mean it will work with xcs also? Thanks again 👍👍👍👍

@@dannoc1070 I don't see why it wouldn't. You're not replacing the Xtool Control board. That's the part that is compatible with XCS. Personally I use LightBurn. Join the LaserTree FB Group and talk to the Admin, they are very helpful!
