I decided to completely randomly search for a video about stronghold 2 and I found this video. Although it has been a while since I played the game, I've never found a beautiful and comprehensive while simplistic and empty of complicated mechanics like it. Such a joy to see your gameplay as well; pretty smooth and entertaining.
u can train more archer by this trick pause the game (press p) select buliding(any building) make it sleep un pause the game now you can train more archer at the same time
This was so satisfying to watch some of these guys that do the play throughs of all the stronghold games do a super minimalist strategy instead of maxing out hovels and good and I never understand why
Another strategy is to sneak your troops through the villages and directly assault the castle. The castle has no garrisons, only traps/logs/rocks. Use your archers and spear man open the corridor towards the castle, spam peasants to run over the traps/ logs. Then just stick as many arrows on lord Barclay as you can~
If Barclay dies his men will die to?! Cause i complete this level many years ago and now i can't remember how! I just remember i killed Barclay first like what you said.
You have no idea how much I enjoyed getting rid of the last green stacks as soon as I unblocked ballistas. Revenge for losing 700+ archers to take a single estate lol
I personally killed the archers with ballistas, and then I burned the rest with fire carts, to hear their screams as they burned. Screw those green stacks, the ammount of archers and swordsmen they have is ridiculous.
In Steam v1.3 version I have only archers and enemy spawns soldiers every 5 seconds and after an hour of play there are so much enemies spawned that game starts freezing. There is no way to defeat them, I only managed to get upper spawn point. Having 300 archers I managed to run through estates directly to Barclay and kill him from nearby towers
But it s not mandatory to conquer the whole country that surrounds the castle .in order to win the mission you just have to kill the enemy king. And you don't get any bonus if you humble and overwhelm the poor enemy so much
This was a russian hell . I remember wasting 3hs to claim all the villages and then SURPRISE you get nothing! . It's a lot better to do a V line to the king

Well in my version of this mission i can not build statues. So the archer spam doesn't really work out at all. :(

When i play this mission, at down right corner enemy keep spawning out of nowhere
And so did in the video.... the player just didnt show it ... he used the top right bottom archers to kill barclay

yeah, thats kinda correct since you cannot train any other range units or units with good armor

you cannot train like these swordsmen or knights, you can only train spearmen and archers and later catapults

many people say that they cannot build statues, I think you guys just have a different version of the game

Problem is that green troops keep spamming from the corners until you take those estates
@@josue.ortega even with all the small villages , there is a periodic invasion from both side every 6 months
Difficult mission
I doesn't give me the statue option, my only way to get honor is through the food
Could had added some crossbow men or something change up a little
You can train only farmers , archers and spearmen in this mission
I wish I could use with Cheat Engine with trainer in v1.4.1. and v1.5 Steam versions.
Why can't I make an honor horse in my copy?
