Great video, I have some tips for anyone who wants them:
- Catapults are great, I use them during the seige of Olaf to launch stones over the walls, a bit finnicky. As well as using a few catapults to attack Edwins force up the hill near the monastary
-With the pausing the game and moving units tactic, you can fill one small tower with an infinite amount of archers, crossbows etc. Just line them up (Column) and grab them each in groups of 9 maximum, then tell them to move there. Without unpausing, continue to move them in groups. Pretty handy.
-If you want ultimate safety, build your basic walls, and then later, cover the outer layer with just towers, preferably square, so that enemies can't place ladders anywhere, and the small spots where they can place them, just put 1-2 spearmen/armed peasants..
Good point about making walls entirely out of towers, but unfortunately leaves no place for rolling logs... Wait, how about doing the towers as an inner wall, leaving some thin empty space filled with traps, and adding a regular outer wall for the logs and more man traps? Also, nice tactic with erecting a small fort near the bridge.
If u keep the walls up u can use the catapults to destroy the balistas without losses and quickly, I cut the right corner off and then hide behind the walls and use the putts to destroy them and carry on through the layers.
And this is where I always lost.
Use the catapults to throw stones over the walls and take out the ballista
Whenever I have trouble in my current playthrough I check your vids!
Sad to see most of the time when I have trouble that I gotta cheese it somehow.

For my strategy i wait for the berserkers to come out kill them with the archers and I use the lord to get rid of the gates

It’s interesting that in english you say « meatshield » as in France we say « chair à canon » which means « canonmeat » I suppose. I just would like to share it with you, thanks for your tips. As well I find it a deception that in this game we are obliged to use glitches and exploit to succeed. But we still love it like GoT right ? Goodbye aurevoir !
I beat this when I was like 10 if I remember correctly I just used my lord to rape the ballistas and then I would use the lord to lure the berserkers out and run them in circles while my archers took them out
idk why he plays this game with how much he hates it.
