Nice video. I had to do this recently on my MS661. Like the idea of the lighter to melt it a bit, not being a smoker this didn't occur to me. Good job.

Thanks for the video. Nice design. The cord on my Makita seems to go in behind the flywheel/ magneto assembly. Just hoping it doesn’t break.

Thank you so much for helping us fix our own stuff! I have a Stihl TS400 quickie saw, the kill switch must've come loose from the coil. Is it harmful to use the compression release to kill the saw, until I get a chance to work on it?

I screwed up and took the rewind Pully off… and let the recoil spring “fly out of its “track”! Is their a trick to “putting that recoil spring back in place”?? I’m having “major” difficulty with this!! Seems nearly impossible for an amateur mechanic! Thanks!

I wish you'd used an Elastostart, or rather I wish you'd *added* "how to, when you cannot pull slack through the generic handle's open-center" to include those last "2 points" unaddressed here:
    - Holding the spindle tight on the flywheel cover, pull some starter-rope and add a wrap of the rope around the static/motionless spindle, shortening the "slack/extra" rope by the circumference of your spindle (and if 1X didn't work, rope is still a bit slack, you add a 2nd wrap around that spindle, as I know you know!), but when doing this - or examining the area at all, it's of utmost import to:
    - Ensure your spring doesn't "max out" and stop before your starter-rope is finished being pulled-out....IE when the rope is fully pulled-out, the spring should NOT be max'd out, if it is - and you added 6" of rope to your starter - you'd break things in very short-order!
Thanks a ton for the great videos am actively trying to watch/support your content when it's stuff I know I could also get from donyboy73 or steve'ssaloon but am still stoked seeing you do this IE you're the only woman I'm aware of in this niche who's respectable, am not gonna name names but there's women who do this kinda stuff and their content is awful, stuff a guy could NEVER get interest in, I can never stop myself from pondering whether or not, or to what degree, they realize & acknowledge to themselves that their viewership is interested in their brain not their gender (or at least a 50/50 for crying out loud...) There's 1 that's a pretty Scandinavian girl and the content is soooo lacking/sub-par yet the #'s for that vid / ALL her vids are just *insane*, have to wonder if she's honest w/ herself & aware that if she, say, lost her teeth then tomorrow nobody would watch anymore, unlike say the Iron Horse or Scott Kunz wherein I've no idea or care about their appearance -- I don't watch the female channels because they never had anything useful, you're basically donyboy73/steve's saloon level which is saying a lot in this niche, I hope you guys end up collaborating if practial as I'd bet there's *nothing* you couldn't fix together lol!!
But yeah am stoked getting good info from a female source & certainly going to remember to check your library 1st when I need "random stuff" like today (as-if I've never swapped a rope, or over a dozen, in my life LOL!!!)
Thanks again for the awesome content it is greatly appreciated!!!
