I grew up in a Christian home I don’t believe in divorce. I’ve been married almost three years and together 8 years prior. It’s been a nightmare. I’m in a abusive relationship mentally and emotionally with an addict . It’s made my relationship with the Lord torn because I’ve been in survival mode. He has gotten physical with me a few times . We don’t have the same values. I regret marrying him I feel I married the wrong person. All three apply to me from this video… I am not at my full potential or purpose I feel like I’m in jail and miserable. I have prayed , fasted , sought counseling on my own . Signed up for a marriage retreat he didn’t want to go . I have tried a temporary separation. We have a child together .. I can’t do it the disrespect I get and the heartache is unbearable . I need prayer for the strength to leave thanks for listening

Thank you for this. I, too, was raised "Christian" and was taught no divorce. I, too, am miserable. I know how you feel. You want to leave, but are afraid. Plus you want to live up to what you were taught. I've been married almost 15 years. As one experienced, please leave now. I was I had when I was two to three years in, but we're taught to pray, fast, wait on the Lord. Sis, I've been "waiting" and ready to go!. The longer you stay, the more kids, the more connected finances become ie. mortgage, loans, cars It makes it harder. Please leave. I wish I had early on.😢 Please pray for me. I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. I need more strength to do so. Slowly, the indoctrination is getting weaker.

I was married to a narcissist for 10 yrs and didn’t know anything about narcissists but I became just a shell of my former self it was so horrible. I began seeking God every day and He told me to get out. Unfortunately, I had a hard to believing God would do that so I stayed for another year of abuse. God kept saying to get out so I finally obeyed Him. During the divorce process my ex was trying to take our daughter away from me so I kept praying and one day God showed me a quick vision of His huge hand holding a rolled up scroll. He said it was a “divorce decree.” So I knew it was all in God’s hands. And the divorce went smooth and easy in spite of all the ex’s lies about me and I got everything I prayed for including full custody of my daughter. I learned that it’s really important to stop listening to society and do what God is telling us to do no matter what society says or thinks. We must always divorce evil. There is no place for evil people in the lives of God’s children ❤️

@@supergirl109 I think sometimes divorce is necessary it's unfortunate but it is necessary whether you have children or not because sometimes staying in a volatile relationship for the children hurts the children more than leaving the person and then your children could end up in therapy and extremely unhappy.

In 16 years of marriage. But all of this is our marriage. No purpose and I made the mistake thinking I did right in God’s eyes all to be put to utter embarrassment and shame. I can only pray for him in the fact a relationship with our children don’t perish. I have tried but my capacity has been reached. Its a trying moment,i went through it some years back and i thought my world was over. Trying to explain the children and relatives yet the moment i stepped aside to sort matters,another woman entered my house as the new wife before we could start any negotiating.
This changed the entire story opening lengthy court battles But finally i resumed my house,my husband didnt make it to the end so am a widow now,never to trust a man again but happy with my maker.

I understand what you mean. I was that spouse who was deaf to my wife's pleas for us to get help and seek counseling. I always said no, and when I did finally agree to go the counselor basically teamed up with her against me. My wife prayed consistently for our marriage to work and by the time I finally came around she acts almost as if our marriage is now something she doesn't want. I just keep praying.

I walked away of a 23 marriage due to the fact of disrespecting me and he didn’t respect himself . That means a lot to me and I took it for way too long. But thank the Good Lord for he rescued me from a sinful marriage that was going to end up in a bad way. God knows what he’s doing when he removes us from things and situations .
