God's plan for us in the storm_Part 4

Today Paul's message concerning God's plan for Timothy as he encountered a crisis and faced an unknown future is "Be ready - don't be surprised!" It's taken from 2 Timothy 3:12, a verse in which Paul guaranteed that we will face persecution if we desire to live godly in Christ Jesus. Some Christians have felt as though they are being persecuted during the pandemic because they've been asked to take certain precautions which they deemed unreasonable. I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion, because those of other faiths and those in secular society have largely been asked to do the same things. That said, the truth Paul proclaimed remains pertinent, "Be ready - don't be surprise!" if you suffer persecution when you pursue godliness, when you are faithful and don't shrink back, when you are strong and don't give up, and hen you are godly and don't give in. It may come in various forms but persecution will certainly come your way.
