Yeah. And honestly, even if someone is married to Samsung as a brand. I still think they would be better off with like the S10 Plus or the note 9. The s22 is stuck at 1080p, doesn't have expandable storage, doesn't have a charger, doesn't have the fast capacitive fingerprint sensor, doesn't have Samsung pay...
To be honest a phone with dead software and no security updates anymore is not an option, lg already dead in phones business so all the issues can't be resolved by updates and the phone itself Is easy for hackers also lg software not that good compared to the King's of software samsung and Google and apple also oppo, s22 ultra price is high because its still a fresh phone with 4 years of android updates and 5 years of security updates
My long awaited video is FINALLY HERE! The LG V60 is so underated. Will always love this device. Headphones jack, and just any ordinary jack but an unrivalled jack with a quad dack. Expandable storage of up to 2TB,, great stereo speakers,, fabulous cameras especially in manual mode (yes it doesn't have the mad zoom lense and the front facing camera is far from being the best),, great battery life,, great screen at 60hz,, desktop mode (though inferior to Samsung Dex, but still, you have an option if you need it),, pen support to turn it into a note,, dual screen capability for even more multitasking... It's just awesome! Thank you for this awesome video. Was really looking forward to it.
Absolutely, I'm sad that LG is gone but this was going to be the last great phone anyways arguably. The next iteration, The Velvet 2 pro was not going to have a headphone jack at all :( so about sad that they're gone, I am going to be using the wing, v60 for years. In fact, if my v60 died today, I would probably go out and buy another v60. The only newer phone I really like is the pixel just bc if it's amazing night time camera. I basically use a pixel for a camera and my LG device is for every single thing else..
I trust that you'd be aware of this, but the LG V60 also has pen support, albeit not one that can reside in the chassis of the phone. Considering all features available, the LG V60 is truly an outstanding device and the fact that it can trade blows with flagships in 2022 shows how good LG hardware is. They'll be back soon 😉
All I'm thinking right now is how a $100 phone beat a $1000 phone. Yep. I'm using they $100 phone. It's actually a demo wifi gaming phone xD There is no reason to pay so much for a phone that's use for talking. Just get a wifi phone for that.
yea I noticed this when I took one of my active pens out from my Thinkpad or my Bamboo Ink pen which I also use and noticed V60 recognized it right away.
@@Seasniffer69 not necessarily the case. I know several people who’ve daily driven LG phones for years with no issues(I, for example, have a fully functional day-1 V40 and V60). It’s a bit naive to think there’s one phone manufacturer who makes phones with no issues whatsoever. Since the iPhone 10, there have been instances where iPhones had lines randomly appear on displays. Same as in Oneplus, and Samsung. The difference between these and LG is they have good PR, and are somehow able to drown these issues out of the news. LG struggled with this and eventually paid the price.
V60 has been a great phone for the past year I've owned it. Hope to get another two - three years out of it. Great screen, great battery life, everything is well done
I m using lg since 2011 I have used 5 to 6 lg devices and still all working just like first day. you can use it for ever battery life will not drain and it will perform just like brand new for ever
Recent update on LG, they discontinued their phone services which is really sad considering I use the LG V60 Thinq 5G from AT&T and simply love the phone. I really don't want to have to upgrade (if you can call it that) to any other phone. But what do ya do when they discontinue serving updates for your device? The Samsung S22 Ultra or Google Pixel 6 Pro would be the next one to get considering all I do with the V60. Sad to see LG leave the market.
Excellent video! I was waiting for you to do this one. The V60 is still a beast at 2 years old, and a fraction of the price. I have the dual screen as well. I'm just hoping for that Android 12 update, and further security patches. But overall I'm sticking with the V60.
@@tre6442 can you please tell me what's the improvements on Android 12 especially when it comes to the camera department and performance when it comes to playing games and what about the heating and are there any bugs so far
@@Mark-sz6mq Yay me too...i love my V60 man..simply a fantastic phone for the price. I am thinking of getting another new on on ebay before they go extinct 😉😁
@@jsuswaram I just ordered another one with the dual screen myself.I currently own the V60 from U.S. Cellular, and cross flashed it with AT&T software for the IMS settings to work properly.2 year old V60 still blowing the doors off Samsungs current flashship!
LG V60 is simply a beast(Snapdragon 865 and 5G) considering the cost. I have compared some of the high end phones to the V60 and the V60 holds its own. It is a shame that LG is out of the smartphone market😢
They just could never make sale like others, a shame to because lg has made some excellent phones! Even some of the dirt cheap phones are actually really good
I have the LG V60...but I got the S22 Ultra back in March 2022...As of February 2023 I decided to move back to my old LG v60 for a few reasons... 1. The LG V60 still has better battery life, I get consistent 8-9 hours screen on time. Compared to the s22 Ultra that gives me 5-6 hours, and thats on FHD+ and 60hz setting. 2. I still prefer photos taken on the V60. The S22 Ultra have to much saturation in colors and dont have Ultra Wide Correction. Also shutter lag on the S22 Ultra is anoying and its an expensive phone to have that problem. 3. The V60 still has more powerful speakers compared to the weaker s22 Ultra. 4. I got a 1TB Sandisk Ultra Pro SD card for cheap that I put in my V60. But using the s22 Ultra for about 11 months then jumping back to the V60, I actually like the more natural colors on the V60. And going down from 1440p screen to a 1080p screen isn't really noticeable to me.
I just bought the V60 moving from Galaxy Note 9...both great phones...but the V60 is a beast....display is maybe not as sharp/crisp as the samsung...but only slightly less...everything is as good and in a lot of cases better. Hope to have this phone another 2+ years...I just love it! Thanks for the comparison!
This is such a great review. This clearly shows that Smartphones are maxing out on how fast they can get. With the iPhone 14 using the exact chipset as 13 pro, phones are focused on giving a smoother experience at same or slightly higher speeds, better battery performance and improved cameras. That’s what the S22 is equally about.
I realized you can turn on the LG sound engine while listening externally. On the lg G8 the dtsx option is also available. The G8 speakers are pretty rough overall but with dtsx engaged it does improve it. On the v60 you can tell quite noticeably the difference in quality.
Just bought myself another V60 after 6 months of Iphone 13 Pro Max use because I like the V60 better and missed it , especially the quad dac. Its got the 12. Hoping for 13 soon! LG needs to make phones again. Hanging with my V60 as long as I can! Started with the V10, V20, V30, G8 and the then V60.
I brought over my V60 to a new phone carrier and they all seemed confused why i wouldn't go with Samsung. THIS is exactly why. I love this phone with the dual screen setup. THE ONLY FREAKIN issue which i cannot figure out for the life of me, is why most of the V60s got downgraded to Widevine L3. That means you can't watch all content in HD. Its a software problem but neither google or LG can seem to provide reasoning why the certification was changed on this model.
Great video and I love this comparison because I still have the v60 and time and time again it stands up to almost every other phone on the market especially since it can shoot 8K. Crazy LG left the phone market
2 drawbacks of the V60 1. Front Facing Camera is to close to face 2. USB connector fails fairly quickly ___ Pros 1. Massive Screen 2. 5000mah Battery (long lasting battery still out performes new phones 3. AUX PORT/DAC 4. Micro SD (I have 512gb) 5. Hella fast
That USB connector fail is why I'm upgrading to the s23 ultra..... Two lg v60s later both had the same issue and I wound up using wireless chargers which is really annoying lol
Great video, buddy. I have had a v60 from day one and love it. I think this Samsung clearly had more detail and lit some of the shady spots from the v60, but color and detail still looked good on the 60. I think it’s going to come down to taste as you said because you’re not gonna beat the 60 for 300 bucks.
I went from the v60 to ultra 22 and I regret it.. the battery life is terrible compared to the V60 and Samsung is made cheap now. My battery is loose and rattling around inside when I've never dropped it more than 3 feet on occasion. So I bought a new V60 on Ebay last night, this ultra is going to be used as a back up now 😅
Nice comparison. I was gonna get the s22 plus (on sale at best buy in my area for 800 256gb) but decided to hang onto the v60 5g for a bit longer after watching tbis. I spent 60 on a new back, new usb port and new battery last month (install was pretty easy). The camera on smart phones probably the most important thing for me, its still pretty decent vs 2022 phones. Low light lags vs 2022 flagships imo
I bought LG V60 because I saw it from my friend, the display and dual sound are beautiful, and the camera is just right, the photos are vivid, and the photos are truly taken at 64 megapixels. Now I bought acesories for dual screen, this is okay because if you want to have dual screen, you just put v60 and you can have dual screen. I love it
I get 8 to 10 hours of screen on time with my v60. Thats way More than my Note ultra , note 10 plus and iphone pro max 13 . Also the V60 runs as smooth as a 120hz panel. Optimized so well. RUclips hdr content looks better on the v60 as well. 1080p screen outshines my notes on hdr. The recent updates have really made the phone the best performance for the money.
I was considering a Samsung or Sony mid-range phone, but after watching A LOT of your videos, you've shifted my choice to the V60 (if I can find one) 😊
Just wanted to chime in, the V60 has a much better battery life than my S22 Ultra even after many years of use) and even with no throttling of non-benchmark apps The only thing I feel superior with the S22 Ultra are the cameras (which is the main reason why I upgraded). The S Pen experience is also much better (it better be for the massive price premium).
V60 in real life looks a lot better. I have both v60 and s22 ukyra, and the v60 is more detailed and vibrant. Runs about the same too. Genshin Impact runs about same speed , ultra a tad smoother, but v60 looks a lot better, especially clouds and depths like shadows. More detail with v60. I am disappointed with this phone for that. All previous notes had better looking screens.
@@milkshake7025 It was good. Believe 60 fps. Feels about the same on s22 ultra. Plus as I said, v60 I thinks looks better. Now, like fortnite, is noticeable, but not too different, but again, graphics seem crisper and more hdr effect than what the s22 can do. If the v60 had the same processor, amount of ram, and video, the v60 would be so superior to the s22.
For a long time all i would do is download your videos to watch them offline. after i watched them like 7 times, i would then download more and watch those when i got internet. Love your videos soo much 🔥📱
Got the S22 ultra about 2 weeks ago and I'm coming from a V60 which I still have and don't get me wrong, it's great phone (that I plan to keep) but the Samsung is just next level.....but....I do miss the battery life with the V60, it completely stomp the Samsung when it comes to battery life.
Yep battery is fantastic 5000MAh is a must these days. I simply do not understand how some of the high end phones that come with 5G support are coming with 4500mAH batteries 🤦♂
I just ordered a S22 Ultra and am pretty much in the same boat. I'm thinking of keeping my V60 on as my business phone and using the S22 Ultra as my new daily driver.
I also have the s22 ultra and have thought about getting the v60 since the surface duo was a disappointment. Honestly, dual screens just didn't do it for me with phones. I just lower my resolution when I need longer battery on the s22
@@depressedsauce2898 the battery never got any better on the S22 ultra, I'm switching to iphone when I'm done with this one. It looks like Samsung finally got it right with the 23 ultra though. The 22 is a great phone but unless I keep the power saving mode on, I can't get past 4 hrs of screen on time...that ruins the whole experience for me as I rely on my device for work. I need AT LEAST 6 hours. I will adapt to IOS. I don't use half of the features on this phone and customization isn't a big deal for me.
Yes, please do the battery test for the v60. Been wanted to see a battery test between the s21 ultra, v60 and iphone 13 pro... but everybody has forgotten about the v60, having a beast battery life, or just doesn't care to add it in their comparisons. If you do decide to compare the v60 vs the s22 ultra.. throw the iphone 13 pro in there, too. I don't know why ppl tend to keep comparing the 13 pro max.. we already know what that battery does and it's status.
Even though I'm a Samsung guy, I would go for the V60 personally. Samsung has removed too many features from their new devices... Two very important ones being SD card support and the headphone jack, though I can use an adapter. I thought about buying a V60 from Swappa as they are around 250, but I have heard tons having issues with the charging port failing over time.
I just upgraded to the S22 Ultra from the V60. And you're absolutely right! The charging ports definitely have issues. I personally think it's from attaching and removing the dual screen cases. I already miss using the V60, mainly because of the excellent battery life I was getting. IMO, battery life is terrible on the S22 Ultra.
It sucks that charging port fails for some users. I've decided not to get the second screen so hope I don't get the problem. There's a vid on how to replace the port and it's really simple enough to do yourself if you follow instructions.
I also have an issue with my V60 charge port. I've found it doesn't work well with most cables, unless they're high quality. The *only* USB C cables that work with my V60 are usually name brand 100W C-C cables, anything else will disconnect. Great phone otherwise. Dollarstore cords aren't exactly going to work
@@steammate4140 There's a how-to vid on RUclips to replace the charging port. I think it's only about $30 if you do it yourself. You will need some tape to reseal the back too. Looks really simple.
I went with the S22 Ultra from a V60. The headphone jack is really the only thing I really miss, but I bought a headphone dongle and somehow the S22 Ultra sounds better with wired headphones than the V60. Overall the Samsung is a better phone, and that’s coming from a long time LG fan.
@@KevinHuangPhasorQuantaG Got my Pixel 6 pro a couple of days ago. But I haven't really used it yet because I'm still waiting for a case to arrive in the mail. Extremely slippery. My only complaint so far is that it feels really small after the V60. EDIT :, I have zero complaints regarding audio from the small sample I've done. Maybe my V60 is broke but the audio was better on the pixel via the speakers.
I've had my V60 for about 2 years now and I recently upgraded to the s22 ultra about 2 weeks ago and the only thing I miss about it is the battery life, it blows the Samsung away in that regard but everything else Samsung leads with by a mile, at least to me.
Wow, that's crazy. My V60 had crazy battery life, I remember slow days at work watching RUclips and browsing the internet for a good portion of the day and by the time I got home, my battery was still on around 60%, these were 8-hour days so nothing too insane but still, compared to my s22 ultra that's on around 29% when I get home now after much less use, I considered the V60 to be a lot better in that regard. If you didn't like the V60... You would hate the Samsung lol it will make it through a whole day but my total screen time varies between 2 and 3 hours each day and that's with me trying to be cautious.
I have both the LG V60 and the Note 20 Ultra. The missus has the 22 Ultra. Who takes the pics? Me on the V60 of course. lol. As it is superior if you understand how to use it manually. The 22 Ultra is good for those that like "out of the box" pics. Can't beat the Quad DAC as well. Both of my phones are great for gaming too. Dex and GamePass on my Samsung OLED - awesome. V60 supports pen as well on TWO SCREENS. Just saying.
The biggest complaint i have with the V60 is the charge port issue. That has turned out to be a big PITA multiple times during critical points ive owned it. Im a LG fan and wish LG made a new phone so I could avoid Samsung
All I'm thinking right now is how a $100 phone beat a $1000 phone. Yep. I'm using they $100 phone. It's actually a demo wifi gaming phone xD There is no reason to pay so much for a phone that's use for talking. Just get a wifi phone for that. 😄
Still rocking my v60, if you have the Dual Screen, Download WideMode for LG by Yutaka Tsumori, a great way to view content. Also the v60 is Military-STD 810G Compliant. To note I was going to upgrade to the pixel 6, but that seemed more like a downgrade. I even looked at the Z Fold 3, but was disappointed that its not dust resistance and the fact its battery is not bigger. But this v60 has all that i need. Even as I write this, im on one screen using my QuickMemo to write this and on the other screen is have it running multiScreen with This video at top and Chrome browser on the bottom. The v60 just shines overall.
I heard that Battery sucks on z fold. In fact i seen a customer at costco with one recently & complimented it. He then told me that it sucked and he's trading it in LOL.

I was wondering if you can do a battery life test for the two... I have the lg v60, but since lg stopped making phones I switched to the 13 pro max but I just don't like the experience on the pro max... I was wondering if the battery life on the samsung galaxy s 22 ultra is better than the lg v60... If it is I most likely will trade the 13 pro max or sell it to get the 22 ultra

Yes, lg is tough, long lasting either in software or hardware, simple result but making a mind peace.. It for compirations. Only it weak in upgred the tech and always come up with new one..yes its good but the last one also good why not keep it or make its more juice?. That why but sadly cause LG personnel already a professional top workers in the world, so sad due to it can or sure to be the best than others..
I really like my v60 but if there is one phone I'd go for instead it would probably be the s22 ultra. I just didn't feel like hitting my bank account with that crazy premium cost. After almost a year with I've been really happy with it. The battery is practically like an apple device. In most cases it goes all day on a single charge. It will drain faster if you start playing the "heavy games" like pubg. I'm big into wired iems so the v60 ended up being perfect.
Probably the only techtuber doing this comparison 💯 the V60 and Velvet are still good options in 2022.

Here watching from my v60. Still kicking like a beast. Straight outta Jamaica.!!!
I'm using LG G8s and it's performing great.
All I'm thinking right now is how a $100 phone beat a $1000 phone.
Yep. I'm using they $100 phone.
It's actually a demo wifi gaming phone xD
There is no reason to pay so much for a phone that's use for talking. Just get a wifi phone for that.
yea I noticed this when I took one of my active pens out from my Thinkpad or my Bamboo Ink pen which I also use and noticed V60 recognized it right away.
You'll be lucky for any LG phone to last 2+ years. That's the bad part.
R.I.P LG I miss their phones so much
S22 is over priced like the Iphone, still have my V50 and still works like new, fast, good battery life, still some of the best cameras
But the camera are nothing compared
Exactly overpriced. V50 is still Great device. V60 even better
@@samuraisings5105 compared to what? Samsung? You can't tell any difference between them.
Excellent video! I was waiting for you to do this one. The V60 is still a beast at 2 years old, and a fraction of the price. I have the dual screen as well. I'm just hoping for that Android 12 update, and further security patches. But overall I'm sticking with the V60.
I got my Android 12 update yesterday 👍 yours is coming soon if you haven't gotten it yet

@@jsuswaram I just ordered another one with the dual screen myself.I currently own the V60 from U.S. Cellular, and cross flashed it with AT&T software for the IMS settings to work properly.2 year old V60 still blowing the doors off Samsungs current flashship!
Watching on LG v60 thinq❤
This phone is still a beast😎
Did the same and bought it again on ebay 😂 Samsung is a joke now
I just bought the V60 moving from Galaxy Note 9...both great phones...but the V60 is a beast....display is maybe not as sharp/crisp as the samsung...but only slightly less...everything is as good and in a lot of cases better. Hope to have this phone another 2+ years...I just love it! Thanks for the comparison!
I love that you do these comparisons. Always checking your channel for new ones. Keep it up!!
I do miss my LG v60. It has better battery life than my 13 pro max.
WHAT? Can you post your SOT?
Watching from my g8, with android 11 update
Same and it's running great! I just hope it eventually gets Android 12
Great video and I love this comparison because I still have the v60 and time and time again it stands up to almost every other phone on the market especially since it can shoot 8K. Crazy LG left the phone market
2 drawbacks of the V60
1. Front Facing Camera is to close to face
2. USB connector fails fairly quickly
___
Pros
1. Massive Screen
2. 5000mah Battery (long lasting battery still out performes new phones
3. AUX PORT/DAC
4. Micro SD (I have 512gb)
You can get a v60 for $200 all day
I went from the v60 to ultra 22 and I regret it.. the battery life is terrible compared to the V60 and Samsung is made cheap now.
Even 2 yrs older V60 compets with latest flagship soo great of lg.. we miss LG Phones
When I think about the V50 having excellent resolution (1440p) and great cameras for under $200 is insane.
I just ordered the v60 again in white just to have an extra. 250 bucks mint condition cannot beat that. Probably the best value in the business.
Where u get for 250
I was considering a Samsung or Sony mid-range phone, but after watching A LOT of your videos, you've shifted my choice to the V60 (if I can find one) 😊
How's gaming with v60? How many fps u get in genshin impact?
@@milkshake7025 It was good. Believe 60 fps. Feels about the same on s22 ultra. Plus as I said, v60 I thinks looks better. Now, like fortnite, is noticeable, but not too different, but again, graphics seem crisper and more hdr effect than what the s22 can do. If the v60 had the same processor, amount of ram, and video, the v60 would be so superior to the s22.
For a long time all i would do is download your videos to watch them offline. after i watched them like 7 times, i would then download more and watch those when i got internet. Love your videos soo much 🔥📱
Thanks bro!
The v60 seems to be more powerful in sound and faster in opening applications
@@o01nSaN1tY0o that's exactly what I did.
Bro pls suggest me should i buy lgv60 or Arrows 5g both have same chipset.price is also same
Yes, please do the battery test for the v60.
The V60 is the best phone i ever had
@@musicalala I ended up buying the charge port, and having somebody swap out the part at a repair place. Works great now.

Hey @MatthewsTech my v60 still going strong ✊🏾. Keep up the good work.
I've had an LG v60 since launch and I'm definitely ready for an upgrade. Not sure if I should go with the S22 Ultra or the Pixel 6.
@@terrylafauci791 So far my Pixel 6 has so much better battery than the V60. I was lucky to get 12 hours with 2 hours of screen on time with the V60.
Same exact issue..
Same issue right now.
V 60 holds its own
You can use that S pen or a stylus on V60. And it has Screen+ to use it on your TV like a computer.
Can you compare about LG V60 vs LG Wing in 2022
All I'm thinking right now is how a $100 phone beat a $1000 phone.
Yep. I'm using they $100 phone.
It's actually a demo wifi gaming phone xD
There is no reason to pay so much for a phone that's use for talking. Just get a wifi phone for that.
😄
v60 wins on the headphone jack alone
I want to know if the LG v60 haptics feedback quality like iphone?
Same here
I heard that Battery sucks on z fold. In fact i seen a customer at costco with one recently & complimented it. He then told me that it sucked and he's trading it in LOL.
@@WiseRuler wow... And then the price just ain't worth either.
@@emjbostwick2068 no it is not for the price you'll pay for the phone you could probably get a couple nice tablets instead.
Onscreen battery time for me is at least 11 hours and mostly 12hours on my V60. I don't play power hungry games but do game and watch tons of RUclips.

V60 still a great phone in 2023. It does have stylus support too
Yes, lg is tough, long lasting either in software or hardware, simple result but making a mind peace.. It for compirations. Only it weak in upgred the tech and always come up with new one..yes its good but the last one also good why not keep it or make its more juice?. That why but sadly cause LG personnel already a professional top workers in the world, so sad due to it can or sure to be the best than others..
Which is better at about 250 to 300 price range? Lg v60 or s20 fe

Is the 60hz on the lg a dealbreaker compared to the 120hz of the samsung ?
120hz on s22 ultra with save battery on drops to 60hz or less . Less battery drainage if its originally on 60hz and v60s snapdragon .
The price says it all $300 vs $1200 with the same features! Come on v60 all day!!!! Good video!😂

Love for LG V60
for me the lg v60 want update no software at all still on android 10 gonna find a samsung
The LG V60 also has pen support
I still prefer lgv60 and keeping my lg v30 while watching at this phone.
I actually own both plus a V20 & I am still thinking of getting a LG Velvet.
This is not a fair comparison... Match it with the same year and LG will ditch samsung in performance.. Except in display
Please we need gaming test on of v60
