Definately unimpressed especially for the stupid price, didn’t see them die and they will be back in a few days.
It is not an instant kill device that simply spreads spores. The UVC changes the DNA structure of the flesh so the pest dies off in about a week after a few treatments. this is not a laser! It is way more advanced.
I agree with your observation. Just as worthless as the Majano Wang.
The key is you have to see them to remove them.
Aptasia explosion inbound!
Nope! the UVC will destroy the spores upon release.
Wallet safe. Unproven product. You can do the same with a laser pointer. Product should be $99 if that. All marketing hype. Don’t buy people.
I’m not positive, but there r different wave lengths to lasers and light, is it the same type or strength as a laser pointer?
This thing is rubbish at a stupid price.
It's far from superior.
They released with inferior tech and slow capability. Steep price tag, for a limited aiptasia tool.
Less than a year later - they released a better version? So....all those original buyers, are SOL.
The concept is good - but the price point is the major killer. Positive reviews are sporadic. This is really, just a replacement to Aiptasia X, Joe's Juice, Kalkwasser solution.
You STILL need to get into the tank (cannot be used from outside). It is very slow, to kill the aiptasia. It isnt gonna do anything, for the aiptasia you don't see (compared to natural predators).
Overall - it's not the product reefers need....and at the price point, once you've used it once - it's a complete waste and dust collector.
Gets some nudis, shrimp or fish OR just use Aiptasia X for a literal fraction of the cost.
Oh but it is for reefing groups or stores. Not, agree with your comment. Not a tool you need.
I have spent 120$ this year on aptasia x. I have a but load of aptasia still. Also got predators such as file fish. I am interested in this product.
