- EDIT: Thanks to a commenter I found out reequiping the cloak on alts once you have the highest thread achievement should bump up the alts cloak if you already had obtained a cloak. It is still better to get the thread achievement on a higher level toon before leveling on the alts but you don't need to delete any that already have the cloak.

Just to add if you have already made an alt and have the achieve, if you take the cloak off and put it back on it will update the stats so you don't have to worry about deleting and remaking an alt that you made before you learned / did this.

The awkward momment that the simple cloak toy looks better than 98% of the mounts in the event. At least the 2 ones that are worth the trouble are easy to get.

Incase you did what I did and made a few alts and set them to get rested xp. When you log onto these alts the xp gain is not registered correctly. Just unequip the cloak and re-equip the cloak to update the correct %.

my mains cloak has 380% bonus exp and alts get 52% wtf is that lmao, I thought the ENTIRE point of this system was to have crazy powerful alts and fast levelling..
I would say leveling is faster than normal and once you get the final achievement your alts should start with 100% bonus.
I was under the impression that the experience stacks transfer to the alts for fast leveling but only to find out it caps at 100%... So... Why is there no cap or any actual use for the experience gains after you meet the criteria for the 100% part on an alt? What's the whole point of adding more experience to your main cloak at 70 if it becomes pointless for your toon as you capped the level at 70?
Why keep giving more experience if the criteria for the alt is met for the cloak? Just seems like a waste of time after that especially since the cloak isn't coming with us.
Why not just give us how Wowhead advertised it as the stats moving onto alts? We literally had 1000% experience before with recruit a friend and elixirs stacked together back in MoP until it was nerfed yet again.
More importantly, what the hell is Blizzard doing? They constantly make decisions to nerf fun, to allow misrepresention go on and not address to correct a misunderstanding, they keeo giving stuff that no one wants, instead of giving what their player base has been asking for for expansions and expansions now, yet they just give crap instead of simple to add things like add an Ogre race and High Elf race for Horde and Alliance, biggest demand race since classic. The narrative is there, not all races have to have a sexy female model so give us the fugly female ogres, don't give me the oh they are to big... They have countless races that have unreasonable range of sizes like the Mogu can be as small as a Vrykul or Tauren and some can be 3 or 4 times the size just as any race in raids or direct content, why is blizzard downward spiraling? They keep throwing potential down the drain. The Shadowlands could've been an epic experience with the 5D Chess dude constantly one or two steps ahead and even could've sparked a holy or cosmic war on Azeroth when we got back after technically losing to him in Zereth Mortis, hell Shadowlands could've been split into a two part expansion with Zereth Mortis being the center of the expansion after Sanctum of Domination being the final raid of Shadowlands. Such wastes potential.

Thanks for the info!! I have a couple quick questions.. Is there rested bonus xp that can build up? Can I get to an Inn b4 receiving the alt cloak if I make a few toons to start getting rested? I haven’t had a chance to play remix yet, but I am hoping to log on this weekend..
I just checked and there is an inn you can get to on the timeless isle in the starter spot.
so having my main doing raids to get more xp% on my cloak wont transfer all of the xp% on my alts ? because i'm with 300% xp on my main and when creating an alt, it's seems to be blocked at 100%
The cloak only gets a boost from the achievement the cloak on your main is personal to that character.
How high do the achievements go? Does the increase scale linear? When is the best time to stop farming threads on your main if the goal is an alt army?
The last achievement is for 4200 thread and it's awards 4 toys. Which I don't have yet on live but it provides alt cloaks with a base of 100% bonus XP cloaks.
QUestion:
So if i have an main that is now level 70 He has "Infinite Power VII" and if i make now new alt and start to play that one will that continue on FROM that achievement point (Gather 400 threads of cloak of infinite potential) so if i gather with my alt 100 more i get next achievemnt "Infinite Power VIII" ? or to reach "Infinite Power VIII" i need to gather 500 of them on that alt to get achievemnt?
Yeah threads collected in account wide progress so you would need to only get 100 more for the next achievement. The reason I recommend focusing on one toon for the achievement is because you get more thread at higher levels.
Never understood why they didn’t explain this in the trailer, they said that cloaks would transfer their stats and not a small portion of it, pretty boring decision made from them making us play less on alts. Especially since the bronze is not transferable in any way
If you read the original post it worked this way I think other content creators made it seem otherwise. "Cloak of Infinite Potential
You’ll also be able to earn an Artifact cloak that gains permanent power increases as you play when you loot various threads of time. Infinite Power achievements you earn on your strongest character will grant alternate characters a more powerful starting cloak - making leveling even faster!" But I'm not gonna say I wouldn't want a more powerful cloak for alts I'm just saying they didn't cause the misinformation IMO.
So, whichever character I made first is my main? What if I only played that first character for ten mins and made another toon? Is that other toon my "alt" now?
Basically just focus on leveling one toon up all the way for threads. Doesn't matter who was made first.

okay - so if I created another timewalker alt when my main timewalker had say a - tier 2 cloak... I need to ramake that timewalker alt to get the upgraded buff from my mains(now higher tier) cloak???
Yes, everything I’ve seen said get 1 toon max level with a bunch of thread before starting a second toon. If you want a juicy cloak
So a commenter here clarified that if you have an alt already with the cloak you can take it off and put it back on once you get the higher level thread achievement it will bump up to the new base.

i have infinite power x and i made a new character and it doesnt have upgraded stats
It should but the only stats that would increase are main stat, stamina and exp gained.

If i race change on my main remix toon, will i keep the original stats?
I believe the cloak stats would carry over for that character since it's link to the character. If not I would put in a bug report.
Damn, thx for information, but i'am so disapointed, i thought alts will have full stats from my main cloak, sadge :(
Yeah a lot of people thought that's how it was gonna work and it would have been cool if it was like a fully account wide powered cloak IMO too.
the threads are pretty much irrelevant. i had 250% xcp ad new character only gets 100% so useless for alts.
Threads only matter up until you max the achievement so you get the full 100% on alts. After 70 they help a ton if you wanna power up as well.
@@BobalosRex Yeah i was dissapointed AF. Why give me 250% xp when i never get to use it. the amount of stats from a claok with 5k of each stat was dissapointed aas ewll only got 3 out of all the stats and only 100-175 of them. not the boost i was sold tbh. Barely makes a difference at low level.

Hi man. Can I please ask a question? If you get to 70 and upgrade all gear to the max with 30k bronze. Then you can actually solo everything and all raids and farm on your own as in retail OR the game constantly adjusts to your ilvl. For example farming siege of orgrimmar for the tusks.
The cloak has infinite scaling so with that and gear maybe. not sure yet but I will be trying too as this event goes on.
This event is a huge disappointment, the leveling is around the same speed as retail yet it was advertised as "Accelerated Leveling" and when it was first announced i was under the impression that the cloak would be 1 to 1 when making alts if not close to 1 to 1 (how it worked on the PRT or so ive been told) but its been nerfed into the ground on launch.. This event for me was to level abunch of alts in a short span of time but how it is now, i may aswell do it on retail and just have 1 character to get a few things i want
It worked this exact way on the PTR I tested it. Once you get the achievement on one toon it is accelerated for alts.
@@BobalosRex People have said on PTR if you made a fresh character, that cloak would have the XP bonus from the main, lets say for example if my main has a cloak with 260% XP and i made a new character now it would start with 260% (provided you have the max achievement) but now its capped at 100% (yes you can still get threads to go beyond it but threads have dropped considerably less when at the 100% mark. It was apparently 1:1 on PTR, its not the case on live
@connorb8056 it didn't though I have video proof of how it worked on the PTR show me your video proof not just "what people said".

oh.... that sucks. So, it is basically "make 1 main character to level and collect threads, and once you get power 12 or whatever then we can start making new characters?" I thought the whole point of this was to have your cloak be the same cloak for all of our characters that were timerunning... lame. *must go delete my other timerunners for now*
Don't delete just get the thread achievement on your main and reequip the cloak on alts.
