it's certainly nicer to walk around in spring, summer or early fall , but as a Brit you already know what to expect it's the same rainy dark winter in Denmark as in -England, then if you go north Sweden or Norway there is a better chance of snow
Come in the summer or spring. Most cities in Sweden are dead at winter. No one leaves their homes, and a lot of people take vacations to flyaway from the country. We have 7-Eleven in Sweden too. Denmark is expensive, yes. Not as bad as Norway but way more expensive than Sweden by about 60% higher prices. Be warned Swedes love salt.

Since it has been mentioned many times, I will not mention anything again about Danes pickling herring but not fermenting. Do Danes have the best food in Scandinavia? Well, that's subjective. Denmark has become well known for some of the best restaurants in the world but make no mistake about the food you can get in Sweden and Norway. You can get food at the same levels of excellence in both Sweden and Norway as well. For a funny experience, try Punk Royale. There is a Punk Royale in Copenhagen but it is a Swedish concept so if you want to try the real Punk Royale deal, maybe Stockholm is a better choice. Punk Royale is basically Michelin style food in a setting where anything goes. There are pretty much no rules and if you get away from a visit to Punk Royale in a sober condition, you have done something wrong. About Danish pastries, you can get it very advanced and mouthwatering in places like Juno The Bakery, Anderson & Maillard and HART but if you want pastries in a less funky but more traditional style, just try the pastry from almost any local bakery. If you want to try fancy cakes, please try La Glace in the city center.
Come at summer may to september. April and begining of oktober can work also. Otherwise it is dark, rainy and windy. About traditional food is othen boring and more for homecooking. But the best are flæskesteg, frikadeller stegt flæsk. The open sandwiches are very much traditional food as is hotdogs. We had burgers or beef burgers assome of the frist in the world. Flæskesteg sandwishes are also good. But traditional fodo is some meat like pork, beef and chicken with potatoes, sauce and a fw vegetables as side dish. Not instagram worthy.
As a Swede i definatly think Denmark has the best food in Scandinavia. Norway and Sweden is better in seafood, but Denmark is better at meat. Also better pastries (apart from kladdkaka and prinsesstårta)
@@dwaynesview Another tip for when your visiting Scandinavia. Ströget is the biggest shoppingstreet in Denmark located in Copenhagen so go there. Then when you go to Sweden, if your riding the train from Copenhagen to Gothenburg, make a stop in Varberg on the way and combine eating kebabpizza at Campino (westcoast has the best kebabpizza) and also visting the fortress "Varbergs fästning" (could be a good react video). Best? Hells no. Whats often touted as "great danish food" is fancy stuff taken from elsewhere. Labelling the "Nordic Kitchen" (Noma etc) a Danish thing runs contrary to what the Manifesto stands for. Danish food, on average, is uninspiring and fairly "peasanty" - lot of pork and sauce and carbs on carbs. And Im Danish. Literally nobody but weird traditionalists, eat danish food more a week on average than international dishes. Sweden. Hands down, top Nordic food. Very vibrant and amazing, sourcing from sea and lakes etc. Really amazing. If you want proper good eating in Denmark, honestly you'll only really find it on Bornholm. Vastly overrated nation on all fronts - its the "charm" of a big city thats not really big - it makes you all go loopy. (Sidenote - the open sandwich thing that always comes up. The kids pack lunch variant, is literally just bread and a single topping, made to lie in a nasty bag all day. I can still recall the RANKNESS of classrooms when everyone brought out their luke warm lunches, literally the worst.)

It IS a really good city to live in👍
Since it has been mentioned many times, I will not mention anything again about Danes pickling herring but not fermenting.
Good luck living in Copenhagen ! just to rent a 1 room each month cost around 9000 per month ! 1344.08usd =P
Late MAY in Denmark
And Sweden 🇸🇪 to not to hot or rainy
May is my Birthday month so actually that's not a bad idea.
We have lots more to offer actually delicious dangerous food that didn’t get shown
We have the best food in Denmark!!!!
Bæst is beast not best 😂
Come at summer may to september. April and begining of oktober can work also. Otherwise it is dark, rainy and windy.
About traditional food is othen boring and more for homecooking. But the best are flæskesteg, frikadeller stegt flæsk. The open sandwiches are very much traditional food as is hotdogs. We had burgers or beef burgers assome of the frist in the world. Flæskesteg sandwishes are also good. But traditional fodo is some meat like pork, beef and chicken with potatoes, sauce and a fw vegetables as side dish. Not instagram worthy.
I agree that the Danish food is the best in Scandinavia. But not the healthiest.
As a Swede i definatly think Denmark has the best food in Scandinavia.
Norway and Sweden is better in seafood, but Denmark is better at meat.
Also better pastries (apart from kladdkaka and prinsesstårta)
Ahh ok, interesting! Well I'm definitely going to have to do deep culinary dive in Denmark.

Another tip for when your visiting Scandinavia.
A fortress/museum where you can see "bockstensmannen". Theres also a medival day once a year.
In Gothenburg visit Liseberg, the biggest amusement park in Scandinavia, bigger than the ones in UK. (could also be good react video)
morgen brød hokdock og smørebrød er tradisjon dansk ... elers gå på en dansk rasturang med en uddanet kok og prøv fleskesteg eller jule and .... sommer er bæst men desemper har sin egen magi :)
ok så BÆST, is actually translated into Beast, not best ^^, regards a Dane
well we did have the worlds best resturant but yeah i guess our food is good
If I where you I would go to a restaurant call HØST if that are translated it means harvest.
Super food for a ok price.

Bæst Pizza is Beast Pizza in danish. 😅

Marcus person is not a RUclipsr. That’s what I’m talking about. It saw his stream but what I see in that video you show me I am not seeing so much food for my I am from Denmark.
How many months are you planning to spend in Scandinavia? I think you need to put the British island besides Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland so you understand how big it is…
I will realistically have about a week, I wont be able to visit every part of each country. It will be a multiple City job. Go back later and visit everything I missed first time round. :)
@@dwaynesview one week won’t get you far… I do Copenhagen, Malmö and Stockholm and that will be stressful enough, believe me. Then take Norway, the north and Finland next time.
Please quit Tivoli and visit Bakken in the outskirts of Copenhagen that can be can traced back to 1583, and so being the oldest amusement park in the world, and so is free of charge = no entrance free. Obviously LEGO Land in Billund Jutland is just as important, because the most important toy in the World LEGO is Danish.
Better go to Pepe in Grani outside Napoli
Danmark rank no 1 in wold on food and rasturangs ...................... plz remember Danmark vos king og briten 3 wegs .. The Danis wiking conkord most of US .. meny wod in UK ar same in danmark :)
Well... bæst does not mean best, it means beast in danish.
i can se why you think it says best But Nooo it says baest that is like a beast ! but it sounds like best for you english people XD but maybe they really mean best bcs you can also say best -beste and it can sound like the way you spell baest ..... but if we are all correct danish i will say that pizza shop is named baest aka beast .
Why go to cph for eating pizza?
There are a huge Danish cousine to discover 😃🙄
Gasoline Grill used to be good. Now it's Gen Z hipster kids who work there and they don't give a fuck about service.. Sad but true.. Dandelion Burgers is the place to go!
Swedes cant make a pizza to save their lives. Yes they have all kinds of strange toppings, but it doesnt do anything for their pizzas
Best pizza in Scandinavia? Noooo
LOL! My first thought was Italy but who am I to say, I've been to neither country.
as a person whos lived in sweden for 7 years, their pizza is trash
yeah if you want cheap food then you need to leave the capital of Denmark
Best?
