WHO THE HECK IS THIS GUIDE? Probably one of the best well spoken/thoughtful responses and conversation pulled from yall in a while. Jonathan was awesome, and the Girls were outstanding. Ya I love watching Steve hunt big game, but I love watching the more background crew members getting out and experiencing it. To see there first experiences and hear what they take from it. Keep this kind of content coming!!!!!
Very well expressed; my thoughts and feelings exactly!
When the woman said , " for my success, to be his success, its such an incredible feeling" you just know he is a good guide and its evident that they are greatful for the experience and for his teachings!
Fully Committed outfitters Carlisle Ar. I hunted with them last year, they were great.
Same! I’m a new hunter so I like watching the crew who are also new get out there.
Ya, i want to go to his duck guided hunt!
Nice to see Corinne getting a break from herding cats on the podcast.
One of the very best Meat Eater videos I have seen. Jonathan is a formidable teacher, an inspirational man.
Met Jonathan at the World Championship Squirrel cookoff a few years ago. His passion for hunting and the outdoors is unquestionable. Cheers to Meateater for featuring his outfit.
Y'all keep finding ways to make cooler and cooler stuff. Great work everybody
This is meat eaters best video in a while. Johnathan is outstanding for being able to relate, clear empathetic communication, and for showing that a students success is his success as an instructor. I'm looking into taking this course.
His philosophical monologue about our connection to hunting rivals Steve's. These are the emotions that hunters feel but can't put into words.
Great work Jonathan. Proud of you. Keep chasing the dream.
More Jonathan Wilkins please! Such a genuine guy and a joy to see on screen
I love these episodes of new hunters getting into the sport. I grew up fishing, but didn’t begin hunting until my mid 30s. I wanted to, but didn’t grow up with it. The learning curve and intimidation of not knowing what I didn’t know kept me away for years. I love seeing new hunters such as myself and the great folks sharing their knowledge. Kudos.
More goose hunting.
Great edit. Great character s.
Love Corrine videos she is so honest about her feelings and abilities. Glad she connected with that ole honker!!
When was a honker shot?
Mr. Wilkins is such a calm person and the way he works with folks is just awesome!
Great environment Jonathan has created good on you for shining some spotlight on people like him
Great show. Being an old dog , nice to see novices and how great mentors brought them along. Enjoyed that they participated in all the aspects of the harvest. Thank you
I love watching these demystifying videos. Watching novices succeed is so cool.
I heard Steve talk about this episode on this pod cast.
Wow what an episode.
The guide 100% professional.
The girls did great.
That is what hunting is all about.
Learning, friendships, patients, education. Then to have a debrief about the day and the share that food and share some laughs.
Now that’s what it’s all about.
That’s why I love Meat eater. 👍👍👍
I would learn from this man any day on how to hunt goose and listen to the stories while I create my own .
The industry needs more of these programs and guides like Jonathan. Not many places can you go to get into water fowl and hunting in general. I am from Louisiana so I always had friends and family who hunted almost about every type of game, but most people aren't that lucky.
I really appreciate what meateater has evolved into and has become. I love what it in bodies such as this for example finding Jonathan Wilkins who is very knowledgeable and all around amazing person and guide. Who knows how many people may have missed out on his knowledge or the experience he has to offer.
Johnathan is the truth, dude is so thoughtful and insightful. Would love to see meateater work with him more.
This was my favorite so far. What an excellent example of what hunting is all about.
It sure is nice to see someone treat a goose so well - especially someone who shoots so many. Waste not, want not!
exactly mate, so many people just breast em out and toss the rest.
I’m not against it but that is way more time consuming then dry plucking and dry breasting it might not look as good but it will only take a sec to wash it or pluck instead of 20 or wax
@@tristenbrodrecht8458 agreed, but I do think it's better too just take the legs without the skin on, which doesn't take too much time, than just toss the rest. And the gizzards/hearts are great too.
Thank you for a great video...
Pretty standard treatment for specks with most folks that shoot lots. They are the best eating goose out there.
What an inspiring episode. I love how it’s all different walks of life
Congrats! I feel so blessed to have grown up doing this with my family. Nice to see other women learning just how wonderful nature and fellowship on the hunt can be.
Never seen someone shoot from the hip off the ground
Rifle grenades against Geese...🤣
🤣
I came to the comments for this lol
We call that "AA" fire position😁
Yes, she needed a little more training before going into the field.
Really cool to see new hunters going through the experience- great video!
Corinne making an appearance!
What a great episode. As usual, thank you for unique conservation content
Mr Wilkins said the one thing my Father taught me... Dont move until your ready to shoot. Snow goose opens tomorrow in my area. We have place we are going tomorrow. Getting up at 2 am to set up, Back to truck and sleep until shooting time.
Jon, you are an amazing teacher!! From the hunt, to the skinning, to the cooking techniques~~ Bravo!! Very well done!!
Great Story. Love seeing the different prep and cooking methods on these shows.
Meateater is by far my most favorite hunting show in 30 years. Yal go beyond just shooting. Keep the series coming
As someone who has a decade of experience in trap and sporting clays, I still found great difficulty adjusting to dove and ducks. While I think gun safety is hugely important, I think they did a good job with barrel awareness for the most part.
Did they have some issues? Sure, but I wouldn’t fear going to the range or hunting with these ladies.
Great job!
That was next level mentorship. Taking on a new experience like field hunting AND gun handling under difficult circumstances, my hats off to you all. That was a very well done video.
It’s nice to hear a well spoken and educated person. For some reason just makes the video that much better. I love this channel
Hard to put words to how much I enjoyed this video. I see a guy that knows what he was put on earth to do and do that so very well . I have a feeling he better get a bigger boat. Great job!
This is one comment section that is always so positive, shout out to meateater fans👍👍👍 also, I could watch this fella all day.
I always hear Corinne on the podcast so it was cool to put a face to a name. It looked like everybody had fun. I've never waterfowl hunted before so this was fun to watch.
It’s nice to have a face for Corinne’s name I hear her every week on the podcast and she was one of the last one’s I could not picture in my mind. Now I think I have them all recognized when I hear the crew on the podcast. This was amazing by that way well done.
This is what hunting is all about, pass it down the right way.... Thanks Steve and crew. Much appreciated
This is what Meateater has been missing for some time now! Can't wait for more.
The guide is the Man! Excellent show Meateater!
Your content is changing the way people see and understand the outdoors and hunting, Great Work !
Always reluctant to watch an episode that Steve is missing but NEVER disappointed
Beautiful video and mission. Thank you!
MORE OF THESE!! Loved it
Black Duck Revival is badass! Also, that’s the best paraffin wax demonstration I’ve seen. It’s been on my list to learn - so now will have to use it this season!
That waxing technique was very impressive. Excellent job one and all.
Absolutely love this one well done Meateater
great instruction and hunt. can't wait to see what you have for this year.
So good!! Excellent stuff.
Excited to watch this!
excellent episode, Wilkins is a legend
Best hunting show ever. 👌 Nobody compares to Meateater.
Amazing. He seems to be doing a awsome job in an incredible area.
Awesome video. I loved every second of it
Wow! Really enjoyed this one. Those young ladies were inspiring.
Great show!....meateater has the best outdoor content..

Wow, that shooting was something else lol. So happy to have shot a speck already for the 21-22 season so tasty! hope I get many more.
Good job brother teaching new hunters
Hey! Good to see y'all! Keep it safe friends.
I would hunt with this man anytime. Great show. Be safe and happy.
Love this kind of content!
I really enjoyed this episode!
As a kid a friend of mine was Swedish. His mom made Swedish smoked goose one time. It looked almost like cut jerky but was still tender. That was 22 years ago and it still was one of the best things I ever ate.
Steven thanks for letting the ladies having a shot at some delicious birds!
I love a shot a delicious birds too
He can’t hear you. This is the Internet
I really enjoyed this.
Love this one. Jonathan seems like a great teacher, Corrine and Hilary seem like great hunters getting their start. Brings back memories of my first duck hunt and how excited my mentors were for my success. Keep 'em coming like this!
Very enjoyable episode. 👍🏾👍🏾
im not even a waterfowl hunter and i found this incredibly awesome
Hey Steve, just came to your latest RUclips video to leave a comment.. I’m currently busy watching season 10 on Netflix and just wanted to commend you and your team on the beautiful visuals and excellent cinematography. Very special show, really love it.
Fantastic!
Such a great video.
Always glad to see an unrestricted video, the UK Netflix only has a handful of episodes..
I love this channel!
Awesome video guys!
Jonathan Wilkins is awesome.
This was wholesome AF
Meateater is doing more for the future of the outdoors than I thought possible.
Beautiful!
Wow looks like an amazing deal you put together
Nice video guys and gals!
Fantastic! I want to see Steve hunt with Jonathan now
looks fun!!!
Tis the season!!!!
Never had it but I hear specks are incredible table fare. Cool video. Cool guides.
Good jod to let the other ones shine. Love it- Coaching!
Awesome! 😀
Great show
Dangit Meat Eater team! Y’all just keep on putting out insanely good content.
Awesome 💪🏾
that wax method is legit. never seen it before. pretty cool!!!
Little known fact: Arkansas consumes sixty seven percent of the entire world's batter and oil.
Nice job on the guiding Jonathan. You are far more gracious than I could ever be. I would have been a little more like Sam Kinison. That is what defines a good guide. You make the experience all about the client and keeping it positive will help them become better hunters and perhaps most important, life long hunters.
By far my favorite goose to eat.
Awesome thanks
Awesome episode. Makes me want to go to Arkansas and shot some specks.
Jon is a great guy. Hope to hunt with him some day
that wax trick is great I am going to try it
This wax method looks interesting, I've always steam plucked geese but this looks good.
This was amazing. Such quality content coming from Meateater
