I think you should of built the car, showed the finished product then uploaded how you did it. I don't think people would believe you. Can't wait for the next video.
I have found that trying to clean up fresh spray foam just makes it soooooo much worse as it is smeared around and you never get rid of it entirely. Best to just leave it alone and wait until it is fully cured and it’ll release easier and clean up so much nicer without the shiny residue
Spray foam in a can may have been a better option. Yeah you probably would have ended up with some holes and voids. But you could have filled those after the mold was released. And I think it would have saved you quite a mess.
Foam off the garage floor? If I had a nickel for every time I got foam on the garage floor, I’d have less than a nickel. Use gasoline and a lighter. That’ll take the foam right out….as well as the car….house….but the foam will be gone! Also wondering how you like the taste of tuck tape? I know that taste very well. Like Big Red gum dipped in used varsol after the flavour has all been chewed out of it.
Add a second fuel tank filler to the right side? 😛 The only way I could think of would be if it was left as foam, measure, measure, measure. Using a small rod to poke the foam and find the depth, match that depth in that spot to the other side. But really, no one sees both sides at once so as long as it’s close. If you wanted it to be exact you’d have to find someone that can model it in CAD so a program can be sent to a CNC machine that cuts foam.

I was doing that for the carbon fiber, but my views have tanked and Im not sure why.

You could try acetone on the foam, but once it's fully cured your only option may be scraping and grinding it off
