I used to play risk online a lot some time ago and it was quite obvious that the black player had experience. The key to win in progressive is to distribute your troops in at least 2 places that are far apart and wait until the trades go up. Also, sometimes it is good to not attack and get a card so that no one wants to eliminate you because in many cases they won't get +5 cards and if you don't you cannot trade again. When it's fixed rate it's just about being calm and not making too many enemies while conquering a continent. The ideal ones are South America and Africa since Europe, Asia and North America have more borders and a much bigger bonus, which makes a lot o players envious. And the problem with Oceania is that you typically cannot expand further. Great video.
NIce video - here are some of my thoughts on both games Game 1 - When the game turns into a 1v1, you need to focus only on attacking the other human player and ignore the bots. Focus on getting their territories below 12 or a multiple of 3 (21, 18, etc) when possible. Also, when eliminating players, keep your main army open when attacking. Game 2 - Always keep your main armies available to attack. When you trap your army in South / North America, you cannot eliminate your opponents when they make a mistake. Also, keep your troops in one army if you are in one position. If you have one big army you could have taken out purple like you said when you missed the kill. You will get used to this as you practice progressive game mode more often.
Ya, but I think Purple gave up and was just looking to get second place and let the game end sooner, or hope the black player screwed up so purple could swoop in and end it.
They had to wait because they wouldn't have had enough cards to continue the turn and purple would have eliminated them before they could trade in. Edit: Not sure why I say, You obviously know this by now, for the sake of anyone who may watch your playlist and be curious though.

are there more complicated maps in Risk?
yes, you need to get the paid version for them
after I saw the video of you first win, you sounded so unsure, nowdays you are smartin your moves, and plays like a grandmaster
Never play with fixed bonuses, always use progressive.
