You should ALWAYS put troops on your cap even if it doesnt defend any borders. It makes u way harder to eliminate and if someone wants to break all of your bonuses your caps are there and can do a counter attack
If you dont need troops on a capital then it is just a waste. Only leave troops in them if there is a meaningful chance you will have your forward defenses broken. Purple had nothing to break his troops and black would never lose too much attacking him even if he had been randomly stacking troops on the bottom of the map instead of the top
@@mrperson1324 all it takes is a trade on 3 thats big and they break your defense and tale your cap

@@dividingrain1907 You can take into account the chance of a trade in on three... He was not at risk during the match from bringing troops forward. Even if they did trade in and stacked 100% of troops it would not have been enough to break through until end game when bonuses dont matter much
I could just 3 here and win next round, but thats not exciting. Continues to win next round.

PLEASE keep at least some troops on your capital 😭 it can be 10 troops but it’s just so much better to keep some on cap

On stable portals with Blizzards it is possible for a 0-point hold, but there will be a portal in the continent so it's not really a 0-point hold
