I like modern isosceles. When I flare my elbows out it gives me vise pressure on the gun and makes my gun (Glock 17) have almost zero recoil , giving me the ability to shoot fast and accurately
Thank you! I'm a Chapman and support thumb over strong hand thumb. I want the recoil going straight into my shoulder and not being absorb by mussel. Chapman gives me great followup timimg. Great video.
that's how I was taught weaver, but I've been shooting handguns for 48 years now. I've been ask to by instructors to use different stance and I always go back to that style of the weaver.
As an Instructor I learned pretty early on, if the person is hitting the target accurately and quickly .. I don’t care what stance you’re using , it obviously works ! But I must admit sometimes Instructors seemed to have a vested interest in a particular stance ...
Using weaver or Isosceles you can also twist the left forearm inwards as a right handed shooter which will change the position of the weapon but assist with the recoil. Thanks for the presentation and exact details.
Excellent demonstration. 👏🏼
By far the best video on RUclips on shooting stance, and I’ve watched many. Thank you! Would love for you to produce more videos!
Finally, someone gets it right. Thank you!
Thank you ! Great video ! Best regards from Brazil.
Well explained, from India, thanks.
Excellent explanation on this much confused topic.

Kevin Costner did the voiceover for this. Great.

in my opinion, weaver is more self-defense more natural sort of cow boy style; isosceles is for a squad formation
Sounds like Kevin Costner
Thanks for the explanation.
People ask me what is the Best stance.....simple, whatever works for you👍
Just found this video and won a $50 bet. Thank you
Nice video :-)
The Kentucky Patriot just stopped to say howdy.

Abso-fucking-lutely.
Pretty much every video of these “weapons experts” who try and crap all over the weaver stance clearly have no idea what it is.
Center axis relock is where its at for me. So much precision.
Finally!
The grip is the foundation of shooting accurately and quickly. That grip you are using was never taught by Cooper.
Excellent! Now I see the main difference between Chapman and Weaver. Thanks!
Adam Savage busts myth about the weaver stance
I thought weaver was chapman
He never mentioned the difference in pistol grip when comparing weaver to isosceles...
The weaver stance any day .
